In this study, 70 national brands among men's wear brands were selected to examine linguistic characteristics of domestic national men's wear brand names. Linguistic factors which were used in national men's wear brand names were analyzed to understand their characteristics. Formative and semantic characteristics of each brand name were analyzed on the basis of the results from previous studies. English is most widely used in brand names, and European languages such as French, Spanish, and Italian are also used frequently under the influence of the country of origin. Next, the analysis result on the semantic characteristics of domestic national men's wear brand names showed that descriptive brand names are used to convey brand information directly and easily, or freestanding brand names which are absolutely irrelevant and newly coined words are chosen to create a characteristic image. In other words, brand names represent detailed business and product category of men's wear by forming a brand image of men's wear (ex. Man, Homme, Zio), and provide the information about properties and benefits related to the product such as dignity, masterpiece, and luxurious lifestyle to consumers by presenting the concept of the brand.

We also suggest altering the Korean names for three imported fish species. Finally, we suggest four novel ways to ensure the systematic and effective management of imported fish species.
The purpose of this study is to improve some problems of the country-of-origin labeling based on the perception of consumers. For this, we surveyed 636 people. The questions of the survey are largely divided into three categories; 1) criteria and subject for imposition of fine, 2) the possibility of getting consumers confused with the products using domestic regional names as domestic products, 3) criteria for the country-of-origin transplantation of agricultural products and forestry products. According to the results, more than 30.0% of consumers preferred that it is adequate for imposing fine as much as its total sales, regardless of the type of business. In addition, in the case of products using domestic regional names, consumers can be confused about the products with domestic ones, even though there is a standard for confusing country-of-origin labeling. Standard for changing the country-of-origin of agricultural, forestry products and livestock, fisheries products are not balanced. The results of this study can be used as basis data for revising the country-of-origin labeling.
The product name is the main factor in working out the marketing strategies, because it offers the information of the products, and reflects functions, materials, expectable effect, and the trends of the cosmetics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the type of language, the number of syllabus, and the composition method of the product names for the domestic cosmetics brands. It analyzes 120 products of skins and lotions from 10 brands of the Amore-Pacific. The results of the study are as follows; Firstly, foreign words and languages are mostly used in the product names, and the mixed words are used more than the korean and the chinese characters. Secondly, 7-15 syllabus is the most widely used number for the brand names. It is rare to use only one word for the brand name and it is general to use the combination of relative words that describes the product well. Thirdly, it is found to be common to have 'product line + product type' for the composition method. This kind of composition method uses the words that indicates skin troubles.
As a result of study on the names of local medicinal herbs which described in Chobu (Chapter of Grass) of Korean medical book Bonchojeonghwa, we came to the following conclusions. 1) Compared with the existing domestic medical books' local medicinal herb names, those of Donguibogam had the closest relationship with Bonchojeonghwa. Out of local medicinal herb names described in Chobu of Bonchojeonghwa, a third is only shown in Bonchojeonghwa, and another third is same as those in Donguibogam. 2) The notation of local medicinal herb names in Bonchojeonghwa is not so consistent as Donguibogam. In Bonchojeonghwa, we can see many examples of inconsistent notations over the same thing. Moreover, there are some examples, which are suspected to be an expression of dialect. 3) In spite of close similarity between the names of local medicinal herbs in Bonchojeonghwa and Donguibogam, the author of Bonchojeonghwa doesn't seem to directly refer to or quote Donguibogam, because it doesn’t make sense that the author of Bonchojeonghwa intentionally referred to regular, consistent Donguibogam in irregular, inconsistent way. 4) In spite of very low possibility of direct reference or quotation among Bonchojeonghwa, Donguibogam and Bangyakhappyon, there are many examples of common format in its notation way on local medicinal herbs, which cannot be explained only as coincidence. And it tells us that there must be another publication which had been referred to or quoted by the said three medical books. 5) From the fact that there are a lot of examples of local medicinal herb names which doesn't show palatalization, or labialization, the names of local medicinal herbs described in Bonchojeonghwa must be the expression around 17th century.
