주의 분배력 분석을 통한 조종사 선발 방법에 관한 연구 (A Pilot Selection Method Using Divided Attention Test)

  • This study develops a scientific method in pilot selection by analysing a divided attention performance between the successful pilots and the failures in a flight training course. To measure the divided attention performance, Dual Task Method is used in which the primary task is a tracking task while the secondary tasks are, 1. short-term memory task 2. choice reaction task 3. judgement task. Result shows that the performance of the pilots is significantly better (p < 0.1) than that of the failures in divided attention performance. In addition, the differences in the divided attention performance between the two groups are increased in proportion to the difficulty of the task and especially in the short term memory, the increment is most dramatic.

  • A comprehensive psychophysical scaling system, multiple-modality magnitude estimation system (MMES) has been designed to measure subjective multidimensional human perception. Unlike paper-based magnitude estimation systems, the MMES has an additional auditory peripheral cue that varies with corresponding visual magnitude. As the simplest, purely psychological case, bimodal divided-attention conditions were simulated to establish the superiority of the MMES. Subjects were given brief presentations of pairs of simultaneous stimuli consisting of visual line-lengths and auditory white-noise levels. In the visual or auditory focused-attention conditions, only the line-lengths or the noise levels perceived should be reported respectively. On the other hand, in the divided-attention conditions, both the line-lengths and the noise levels should be reported. There were no significant differences among the different attention conditions. Human performance was better when the proportion of magnitude in stimulus pairs were identically presented. The additional auditory cues in the MMES improved the correlations between the magnitude of stimuli and MMES values in the divided-attention conditions.

  • "Attention" is not defined sufficiently. This term incorporates several dimensions or complex information processes such as alertness, spatial distribution, focused attention, sustained attention, divided attention and supervisory attentional control. In practice, however, various aspects of attention cannot be assessed separately with a single test. Moreover, a particular test is never assessing attention only, because the several intervening variables may influence the attentional component. Therefore, one can only assess a certain aspect of human behavior with special interest for its attentional component. This paper attempted to clarify various concepts of attention, reviewed signal detection theories with receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves, and listed practical methods for assessment of attention.

중학생의 반사회성과 남성.여성특성에 따른 의복행동 (Clothing Behavior according to the Psychopathic Deviate and Masculinity-Femininity of Middle School Boys and Girls)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the clothing behavior according to the sexual difference, coeducational system, and three groups divided with the score of psychopathic deviate and masculinity-femininity. Data were collected with questionnaires. Samples were 699 boys and girls of middle school in Incheon area. The major findings can be summarized as follows: The variables of fashion-orientation, attention getting, satisfaction of cloth and modesty are significantly different from boys and girls, but conformity is not significant. The variables of attention getting, conformity, satisfaction of cloth and modesty are of significant difference among three groups divided with the score of psychopathic deviate. The variables of satisfaction of cloth, modesty, and fashion-orientation are significantly different among three groups according to the masculinity-femininity.

주의력과 정신장애 (Attention and Psychiatric Disorders)

  • Attention is a phenomenon hard to define, but can be conceptualized as a mental function ranging from sustaining readiness to perceive stimuli to understanding the nature and value and selecting stimuli that are most relevant to the given situation. Manifestations of attention include vigilance, and focused, directed, selective, divided, and sustained attentions. While basic attentional tone is controlled by the interaction among reticular activating system, thalamus and prefrontal cortex, direction and selection of attention is controlled by neural circuits of prefrontal, posterior parietal, and limbic cortex. It is expected that understanding of attention and its neural control could provide answers to the relationship between pathophysiology and clinical symptoms of some major psychiatric disorders. More efforts are required to develop tools to assess more detailed and various aspects of attention in Korea.

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 운전능력 평가도구를 이용하여 운전과 관련된 반응속도와 분리집중력을 평가하여, 고령자의 연령대에 따른 평균점수의 차이 분석으로 추후 고령자의 운전위험여부 진단을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구의 대상은 2019년 8월부터 12월까지 강원도 W시에 거주하고 있는 65세 이상 복지관 이용 노인 70명을 대상으로 운전 평가 프로그램을 실시하였다. 1차적으로 운전관련 설문지를 작성한 후, 운전평가도구에 대한 설명을 듣고 반응속도와 분리집중력과제에 대한 평가를 진행하였다. 본 연구의 수집된 자료는 통계프로그램 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 분석하였고, 유의수준은 0.1로 설정하였다. 결과 : 전기노인의 반응속도 과제에 대한 반응시간 평균은 0.717초, 후기노인은 0.843초로 유의수준 0.1에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다(p=.084). 분리집중력 과제에 대한 반응시간은 0.669, 후기노인은 0.695로 유의미한 차이가 없었다(p=.901). 결론 : 운전능력 평가도구를 이용하여 고령운전자의 운전 시 반응속도와 분리집중력을 평가할 수 있었고, 향후 운전 평가도구 개발의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Developmental Trajectories of Attention in Normal Korean Population

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the trajectory of change of diverse attention and working memory in Koreans from 4 to 40 years of age. Methods: The data of 912 subjects from 4 to 15 years of age obtained from a previous standardization study of the computerized comprehensive attention test were merged with the newly obtained data of 150 subjects aged 16 to 40 years from this study. We evaluated the various kinds of attention, in which each subtest had five indicators. Working memory, with parameters such as number of correct responses and span, was also measured. Results: Our findings indicated that attention developed as age increased, and it decreased or was maintained after a certain age. Selective and sustained attention developed rapidly in children and adolescents, until mid-teens or 20 s when it ceased development. Divided attention, however, developed up to approximately age 20. In addition, working memory developed until mid-teens or 20 s. Conclusion: We presented the standardized data on diverse kinds of attention and working memory in children, adolescents, and adults in Korea. We could recognize any patterns of change in attention and working memory with increasing age.

Diagnostic Validity of the Comprehensive Attention Test in Patients With Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

  • Objectives: This study verified the diagnostic validity of the Comprehensive Attention Test (CAT) for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Methods: A total of 336 participants were recruited in this study, including 168 patients with ADHD and 168 control group participants who were one-to-one matched for sex and age. We measured selective attention (visual and auditory), sustained attention, interference-selective attention, divided attention, and working memory in the ADHD and control groups using the CAT. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of the CAT were calculated. Results: In this study, it was found that the sensitivity and specificity of the CAT were 0.879 and 0.846 in children, 0.855 and 0.838 in adolescents, and 0.800 and 0.733 in adults, respectively. Conclusion: These results indicate that the CAT has a high diagnostic validity for ADHD from childhood to adulthood,

Feuerstein의 인지적 중재학습이 영재아의 주의통제와 주의전환에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Feuerstein's Cognitive Mediated Learning for Gifted Children on Attention Control and Attention Shift)

  • 본 연구는 Feuerstein의 인지적 중재학습 경험이 영재아의 주의통제 및 주의전환에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 초등학교 3학년 학생 중 지능검사와 창의성검사를 통해 영재아 40명을 선별하여 실험집단과 통제집단에 20명씩 무선 배정하였다. 실험 집단은 Feuerstein의 도구적 심화 프로그램을 연구의 목적에 맞게 수정한 인지적 중재학습 프로그램에 참여하였다. 연구결과, Feuerstein의 인지적 중재학습은 영재아의 선택적 주의집중, 자기통제력 및 지속적 주의집중 등 주의통제를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 주의전환 과제의 수행시간을 단축시킴으로써 영재아의 인지도식과 개념화 향상에도 기여하였다.
