$BaTiO_3$ is typical ferromagnetic materials with dielectric constant of above 200. $BaTiO_3$ nanoparticles applications are available for multiple purposes such as nanocapacitors, ferroelectric random access memories, and so on. Applications are is diverse from the dispersion of nanoparticles depending on the route of synthesis. In this study, $BaTiO_3$ nanoparticles were synthesized by two different methods such as oxalate method and sol-gel process (ambient condition sol method). Particle size and dispersion condition were studied according to the preparation method and capping agent. Poly vinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) was used as a capping agent in oxalate method and tetrabutylammonium hydroxide (TBAH) used as a capping agent in sol-gel process each. Cubic crystal structure of $BaTiO_3$ phase could be confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy was employed for the confirmation of the capping agent and $BaTiO_3$ nanoparticles. The particle size and distribution analysis was also performed by particles size analyzer and scanning electron microscope.
The microphysics and spatio-temporal distribution of atmospheric aerosols are responsible for estimating the optical properties at a given location. Its accurate estimation is essential to plan efficient simulation for radiative transfer. For this sake, synergetic use of reanalysis data with optics database was used as a potential tool to precisely derive the aerosol model on the basis of the major representative particulates exist within a model grid. In detail, mixing of aerosol types weighted by aerosol optical depth (AOD) components has been developed. This synergetic aerosol model (SAM) is spectrally extended up to $40{\mu}m$. For the major aerosol event cases, SAM showed that the mixed aerosol particles were totally different from the typical standard aerosol models provided by the radiative transfer model. The correlation among the derived aerosol optical properties along with ground-based observation data has also been compared. The current results will help to improve the radiative transfer model simulation under the real atmospheric environment.
In this study, illite was size-reduced using a wet-ball-milling treatment to improve its dispersion. Changes in illite particle size, size distribution, and dispersion characteristics after varying the treatment period were investigated. And the dispersion and dispersion stability of illite solution after 2 h wet ball milling treatment with different pH conditions were also evaluated. The illite particle size significantly decreased as the treatment time increased and the size reduction effect of wet ball milling deteriorated above 2 h treatment time. In addition, illite particle size was more evenly distributed as the treatment time increased. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that no crystal structural changes of illite were induced, but the characteristic peak of illite the weaker due to the size reduction and exfoliation, as the treatment time increased. Zeta potential analysis showed that the illite dispersion improved, as the treatment time increased. The illite wet-ball-mill treated at pH 2 had the lowest dispersion stability. Illite dispersion and dispersion stability increased as pH increased, due to the increase in surface ionization. Hence, the results showed that as the treatment time increased, the illite particle size decreased, and dispersion and dispersion stability improved due to the increase in surface energy and repulsion force between particles.

Silver nanoparticles were prepared by reacting silver nitrate and trisodium citrate in an aqueous solution. Their size and shape were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The synthesis was carried with different silver nitrate concentration, addition of TSC, solvent, surfactant, ultrasonication, and dispersing agent. With higher concentration of silver nitrate or TSC, the particles became large or agglomerated. The SEM results showed that the nanoparticles have spherical and pseudospherical shape with a narrow size distribution. The hydrophobic solvent did not affect the dispersibility, but the hydrophilic solvent enhanced it. The addition of HPMC surfactant caused the size to increase (50-100 nm) with non-uniform shapes and partial agglomeration. The dispersibility was significantly improved by ultrasonication for over 3 hours after the addition of a dispersing agent. Complete dispersion was achieved by adding the dispersant, and the nanoparticle sizes were as follows: 30-40 nm (BYK-182) < 42-78 nm (BYK-192) < 51-113 nm (BYK-142). The nanoparticles were 38.45-46.28 nm after the addition of 2-4 wt% TSC in 0.002 M silver nitrate solution.
Electrostatic precipitator is widely used to remove particulate matters in indoor air and industrial flue gas due to low pressure drop and high collection efficiency. However, it has a low collection efficiency for the submicrometer sized particles. Electrospraying is a potential method to increase the particle charging efficiency, which results in increased collection efficiency. Although particle charging efficiency is highly dependent upon droplet size, the effective measuring method of the droplets is still uncertain. Tap water was electrosprayed in this study, and the images of electrosprayed droplets were taken with a high speed camera coupled with several visualization methods in order to measure the droplets size. The droplet size distribution was determined by an image processing with an image-J program. As a result, a droplet measured by a laser visualization, had a half size of that by a Xenon light visualization. In addition, the experimentally measured droplet sizes were a good agreement with the predicted values suggested by $Fern{\acute{a}}ndez$ de la Mora and Loscertales(1994).

In this paper, a laser-based non-contact load cell is newly developed for measuring forces in prestressed concrete tendons. First, alumina particles have been sprayed onto an empty load cell which has no strain gauges on it, and the layer has been used as a passive stress sensor. Then, the spectral shifts in fluorescence spectroscopy have been measured using a laser-based spectroscopic system under various force levels, and it has been found that the relation of applied force and spectral shift is linear in a lab-scale test. To validate the field applicability of the customized load cell, a full-scale prestressed concrete specimen has been constructed in a yard. During the field test, it was, however, found that the coating surface has irregular stress distribution. Therefore, the location of a probe has to be fixed onto the customized load cell for using the coating layer as a passive stress sensor. So, a prototype customized load cell has been manufactured, which consists of a probe mount on its casing. Then, by performing lab-scale uniaxial compression tests with the prototype load cell, a linear relation between compression stress and spectrum shift at a specific point where laser light had been illuminated has been detected. Thus, it has a high possibility to use the prototype load cell as a force sensor of prestressed concrete tendons.

Li3V2(PO4)3 and Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite with single phase monoclinic structure for the cathode materials are successfully synthesized by direct co-precipitation method using N2H4·H2O as the reducing agent and alginic acid as the carbon source, and their electrochemical properties were compared. The particles with approximately 1~2 ㎛ size and the uniform spherical-like morphology of the narrow particle size distribution were obtained. In addition, the residual carbon can also improve the electrical conductivity. The Li3V2(PO4)3/C composite has improved initial specific discharge capacity and excellent cycle characteristics to maintain capacity stably than Li3V2(PO4)3. The results indicate that the reducing agent and carbon composite can affect the good crystallinity and electrochemical performance of the cathode materials.
The distributions of average water color and the transparency in the seas around Korea show two patterns: the one is the East Sea and the South Ses, the other is the Yellow Sea. In the East Sea and the South Sea, the water colors C$\sub$E/ in Forel scales change from green to greenish blue with distance x in miles from the seashore, an average color is bluish green, 3.7 in Forel scales, and the relationship is given by C$\sub$E/ = 5e$\^$-0.056.root.x; an average transparency is 15m and the transparency T$\sub$E/ shows following formula with distance x, E$\sub$E/=0.9.root.x+10. In the Yellow Sea, the water color C$\sub$Y/ changes from green yellow to bluish green with distance, an average color is light green, 5.6 in Forel scales, and the relationship is given by C$\sub$Y/= 8.5e$\^$-0.086.root.x; an average transparency is 7m, the farther it is from the seashore, the deeper transparency T$\sub$Y/ is as following, T$\sub$Y/=1.2 .root.x+1. Along the seashore, the transparency T$\sub$Y/ is only 10% that of the East Sea and the South Sea. The distributions of the water color and the transparency by depth change in values within the continental shelf. The water color in Forel scales decreases with the distance from the seashore and depth; the transparency increases with the distance and depth. They are caused by suspended particles, especially suspended clay, and it is the major factor in the change in color and transparency, particularly in the Yellow Sea. In September, the sea water is the clearest in the seas around Korea, transparency shows the maximum and water color the minimum in forel scales. The water color shows green yellow when transparency is 1m, green at 10m, and greenish blue at 20m. the relationship between the water color and the transparency shows an exponential distribution as following, C=9e$\^$-kT/, k=0.0625m$\^$-1/. This formula agrees with calculated formulas between the water color and the transparency from the emprircal formulas C$\sub$E/ and T$\sub$E/, C$\sub$Y/ and T$\sub$Y.

Chemical mist deposition (CMD) of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) was investigated with cavitation frequency f, solvent, flow rate of nitrogen, substrate temperature $T_s$, and substrate dc bias $V_s$ as variables for efficient PEDOT:PSS/crystalline (c-)Si heterojunction solar cells (Fig. 1). The high-speed camera and differential mobility analysis characterizations revealed that average size and flux of PEDOT:PSS mist depend on f, solvent, and $V_s$. The size distribution of mist particles including EG/DI water cosolvent is also shown at three different $V_s$ of 0, 1.5, and 5 kV for a f of 3 MHz (Fig. 2). The size distribution of EG/DI water mist without PEDOT:PSS is also shown at the bottom. A peak maximum shifted from 300-350 to 20-30 nm with a narrow band width of ~150 nm for PEDOT:PSS solution, whose maximum number density increased significantly up to 8000/cc with increasing $V_s$. On the other hand, for EG/water cosolvent mist alone, the peak maximum was observed at a 72.3 nm with a number density of ~700/cc and a band width of ~160 nm and it decreased markedly with increasing $V_s$. These findings were not observed for PEDOT:PSS/EG/DI water mist. In addition, the Mie scattering image of PEDOT:PSS mist under white bias light was not observed at $V_s$ above 5 kV, because the average size of mist became smaller. These results imply that most of solvent is solvated in PEDOT:PSS molecule and/or solvent is vaporized. Thus, higher f and $V_s$ generate preferentially fine mist particle with a narrower band width. Film deposition occurred when $V_s$ was impressed on positive to a c-Si substrate at a Ts of $30-40^{\circ}C$, whereas no deposition of films occurred on negative, implying that negatively charged mist mainly provide the film deposition. The uniform deposition of PEDOT:PSS films occurred on textured c-Si(100) substrate by adjusting $T_s$ and $V_s$. The adhesion of CMD PEDOT:PSS to c-Si enhanced by $V_s$ conspicuously compared to that of spin-coated film. The CMD PEDOT:PSS/c-Si solar cell devices on textured c-Si(100) exhibited a ${\eta}$ of 11.0% with the better uniformity of the solar cell parameters. Furthermore, ${\eta}$ increased to 12.5% with a $J_{sc}$ of $35.6mA/cm^2$, a $V_{oc}$ of 0.53 V, and a FF of 0.67 with an antireflection (AR) coating layer of 20-nm-thick CMD molybdenum oxide $MoO_x$ (n= 2.1) using negatively charged mist of 0.1 wt% 12 Molybdo (VI) phosphoric acid n-Hydrate) $H_3(PMo_{12}O_40){\cdot}nH_2O$ in methanol. CMD. These findings suggest that the CMD with negatively charged mist has a great potential for the uniform deposition of organic and inorganic on textured c-Si substrate by adjusting $T_s$ and $V_s$.
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of no-tillage on sequential cropping supported from recycling of first crop ridge on the productivity of crop and physical properties of soil under green house condition. This study is a part of "No-tillage agriculture of Korea-type on recycled ridge". From results for distribution of soil particle size with time process after tillage, soil particles were composed with granular structure in both tillage and no-tillage. No-tillage soil in distribution of above 2 mm soil particle increased at top soil and subsoil compared with tillage soil. Tillage and one year of no-tillage soil were not a significant difference at above 0.25 mm~below 0.5 mm, above 0.5 mm~below 1.0 mm, and above 1.0 mm of water-stable aggregate. Two years of no-tillage soil was significantly increased by 8.2%, 4.5%, and 1.7% at above 0.25 mm~below 0.5 mm, above 0.5 mm~below 1.0 mm, and above 1.0 mm of water-stable aggregate, respectively, compared with one year of no-tillage. Bulk density of top soil was $1.10MG\;m^3$ at tillage and $1.30MG\;m^3$ at one year of no-tillage. Bulk density of top soil was $1.14MG\;m^3$ at two years and $1.03MG\;m^3$ at three years of no-tillage, respectively. Bulk density of subsoil was a similar tendency. Solid phase ratio in top soil and subsoil was increased at one year of no-tillage compared with tillage soil, while soil phase ratio decreased at two and three years of no-tillage. Pore space ratio in tillage top soil (58.5%) was decreased by 8.5% at compared with no-tillage soil (51.0%). Pore space ratio was 56.9% and 61.2% at two and three years of no-tillage soil, respectively. Subsoil was a similar tendency. Gaseous phase ratio was decreased at one year of no-tillage soil, and increased at two and three years of no-tillage soil compared with tillage soil. Liquid phase ratio in top soil was increased at one year of no-tillage (28.3%), and decreased at two years (23.4%) and at three years (18.3 %) of no-tillage soil compared with tillage soil (24.2%). Subsoil was a similar tendency. Liquid phase ratio in subsoil was increased than top soil.
