3-D gravity terrain inversion for high resolution gravity data analysis

  • In gravity data correction process, mass effect of the upper part of base level is removed with Bouguer density. Usually, Bouguer density is estimated as a mean density in the field area. But, this may causes a serious problem when ore body is in the area. To overcome this problem, we tried to apply a new method mixing up mass corrections and inversion (3DGTI). 3-D Gravity Terrain Inversion (3DGTI) includes information of topography and distribution of Bouguer density. For this method does not remove the mass effect above base level, it is no longer useless to use Bouguer density. Numerical model tests have shown that the 3DGIT successfully retrieves the anomalous subsurface density distribution of both surface and deeper layers. Model tests shows that this method shows better results than those of conventional one, especially when main target is ore body. The inversion result well delineates the three-dimensional shape of the intruded granite body and basement.

폐경 후 연령대별 골밀도 영향 요인 (Factors Influencing Bone Mineral Density by Postmenopausal Ages)

  • Objectives : To investigate the factors affecting bone mineral density in across stratified postmenopausal ages. Methods : Data from 1,698 subjects who completed the 2010-2011 National Health and Nutrition Survey were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 21.0 The $x^2$ test and one way (ANOVA) were used to verify the relationship between general characteristics and health behaviors and the prevalence of osteoporosis. Logistic regression analysis was used to verify the factors Influencing bone mineral density. Results : The bone mineral density distribution was the highest among those with osteopenia, with proportions of 21.8% in healthy subjects, 58.1% in osteopenia, and 20.0% in those with osteoporosis. The distribution of osteoporosis by age group was 5.2% among subjects in their 50s, 15.4% among those in their 60s, and 42.4% among those in their 70s. In multivariate logistic regression analysis, the prevalence of osteoporosis according to ages was significantly correlated with age, educational level, body mass index(BMI), and parity 4 of more than 1-2 babies. Conclusions : Although age is an uncontrollable factor in the prevention of osteoporosis, educational level and BMI are correctable factors to maintain bone mineral density. There is a need to maintain healthy BMI and expand osteoporosis prevention education.

DENSITY STRUCTURE AND STABILITY OF THE SUBCOMPONENTS IN GIANT MOLECULAR CLOUD COMPLEXES

  • Radial distribution of internal density has been determined for thirteen subclouds in the three giant molecular cloud complexes accompanying Mon OB1, Mon OB2 and CMa OB1 associations, We modeled their radial density structures with the density distribution of isothermal gas spheres. Most of the subclouds, nine out of the thirteen, are well described by isothermal spheres of single component; while the rest four require an additional component. Total mass and potential energy of each subcloud are also derived from the radial density structure; thermal energy and internal velocity dispersion required for sustaining the density structure are deduced from the isothermal gas model. Our derived masses of the clouds are comparable to the values determined by Blitz (1978) under LTE assumption. This agreement suggests that the correction factor for non-LTE effect on mass-estimate is not far from unity. The ratio of the gravitational potential energy to the kinetic energy of thermal motion is as large as 250; hence the thermal motion alone cannot support these clouds against the gravity. Being supported by turbulence motion with velocities of six to seven times the thermal velocity, the clouds of one-component type seem to be in equilibrium with the gravity; while the clouds of two-component type are likely to be in the stage of gravitational collapse.

  • In this paper, we introduced a LIF measurement method and summarized the theoretical side. When an altered wavelength of laser and electric power, lamp applied electric power, we measured the relative density of the metastable state in mercury after observing a laser induced fluorescence signal of 404.8nm and 546.2nm, and confirmed the horizontal distribution of plasma density in the discharge lamp. The results confirmed the resonance phenomenon regarding the energy level of atoms along a wavelength change, and also confirmed that the largest fluorescent signal in 436nm, and that the density of atoms in 546.2nm $(6^3S_1{\rightarrow }6^3P_2)$ were larger than 404.8nm $(6^3S_1{\rightarrow}6^3P_1)$. According to the increase of lamp applied electric power, plasma density increased, too. When increased with laser electric power, the LIF signal reached a saturation state in more than 2.6mJ. When partial plasma density distribution along a horizontal axis was measured using the laser induced fluorescence method, the density decreased by recombination away from the center.

  • To fabricate a precise micro metal mold, the electrochemical etching process has been researched. We investigated the electrochemical etching process numerically and experimentally to determine the etching tendency of the process, focusing on the current density, which is a major parameter of the process. The finite element method, a kind of numerical analysis, was used to determine the current density distribution on the workpiece. Stainless steel(SS304) substrate with various sized square and circular array patterns as an anode and copper(Cu) plate as a cathode were used for the electrochemical experiments. A mixture of $H_2SO_4$, $H_3PO_4$, and DIW was used as an electrolyte. In this paper, comparison of the results from the experiment and the numerical simulation is presented, including the current density distribution and line profile from the simulation, and the etching profile and surface morphology from the experiment. Etching profile and surface morphology were characterized using a 3D-profiler and FE-SEM measurement. From a comparison of the data, it was confirmed that the current density distribution and the line profile of the simulation were similar to the surface morphology and the etching profile of the experiment, respectively. The current density is more concentrated at the vertex of the square pattern and circumference of the circular pattern. And, the depth of the etched area is proportional to the current density.

입상체시료의 공극비의 빈도분포 (The Frequency Distribution of Void Ratio of Granular Materials)

  • 3종의 입상체시료를 대상으로 공극비의 빈도분포, 상대밀도 전단강도 등에 대한 시험연구결과 (1) 유리알의 경우 공극비의 빈도분포는 Shahinpoorl가 제안한 음의 지수분포에 접근하며 입자의 모양은 구형에서 각형의 순으로 변화되는 반면에 조밀한 공극의 빈도는 감소하며 Beta분포로서 잘 나타냈다. (2) 전 시료에서 공극비의 표준편차는 시료의 상대밀도와 입자의 구형성이 감소함에 따라 증가하였다. (3) 전단강도는 평균공극비와 표준편차의 함수일 뿐만 아니라 공극비 분포의 확율밀도함수이다. (4) 공극비는 정도분포가 조밀한 공극쪽으로 기울수록 시료의 전단강도는 더 크며 이의 역도 또한 같다.

모량단층 주변 절리의 분포 특성과 프랙탈 해석 (Properties and Fractal Analysis of Joints around the Moryang Fault)

  • 모량단층 주변에 발달하고 있는 절리의 분포상태를 알아보기 위해 횡단법(橫斷法)과 재고법(在庫法)을 이용하여 절리의 배향, 간격, 밀도 등을 조사하였다. 횡단법에 의한 조사에 의하면 연구지역에서 가장 우세방향의 절리조는 NNE와 EW방향으로 나타나며, 이들 절리들의 간격분포는 단층의 중심부에서 음의 지수분포, 단층에서 먼 지점에서 대수-정규 분포를 보여준다. 재고법의 조사결과에 의하면 각 절리도(節理圖)상에서 우세한 절리조의 방향은 NW와 NE방향이며, 절리밀도는 단층의 중심부로 가까워질 수록 높게 나타난다. 또한 연구지역에서 발달하고 있는 절리망에 대해 박스카운팅법과 캔터의 먼지법을 이용하여 프랙탈 차원을 구하여 정량화시키고 단층주변에서의 분포양상을 살펴보았다. 박스카운팅법에 의해 구한 프랙탈 차원은 1.31~l.70의 범위를 보여주며, 단층의 중심부에 가까워질수록 높게 나타난다. 그리고 박스카운팅법에 의해 구한 프랙탈 차원과 절리밀도를 비교해보면 이들은 서로 비례 관계에 있으나 프랙탈 차원은 동일 밀도지역에서 절리의 분포상태에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 캔터의 먼지법에 의해 구한 프랙탈 차원은 설치하는 측선의 방향에 따라 다양하게 나타나며 이는 절리의 분포가 이방성을 나타냄을 보여준다.

  • We shall derive the moment of the ratio Y/(X + Y) and the reliability P(X < Y ), and then observe the skewness of the ratio in a bivariate Pareto density function of (X, Y). And we shall consider an approximate MLE of parameters in the bivariate Pareto density function.
