Anoxygenic photosynthesis, performed primarily by anoxygenic photosynthetic bacteria (APB), has been supposed to arise on Earth more than 3 billion years ago. The long established APB are distributed in almost every corner where light can reach. However, the relationship between APB phylogeny and source environments has been largely unexplored. Here we retrieved the pufM sequences and related source information of 89 pufM containing species from the public database. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that horizontal gene transfer (HGT) most likely occurred within 11 out of a total 21 pufM subgroups, not only among species within the same class but also among species of different phyla or subphyla. A clear source environment feature related phylogenetic distribution pattern was observed, with all species from oxic habitats and those from anoxic habitats clustering into independent subgroups, respectively. HGT among ancient APB and subsequent long term evolution and adaptation to separated niches may have contributed to the coupling of environment and pufM phylogeny.

In this paper, a joint destination-relay selection and antenna mode selection scheme for full-duplex (FD) relay network is investigated, which consists of one source node, N FD amplify-and-forward (AF) relays and M destination nodes. Multiple antennas are configured at the source node, and beamforming technique is adopted. Two antennas are employed at each relay, one for receiving and the other for transmitting. Only one antenna is equipped at each destination node. In the proposed scheme, the best destination node is firstly selected according to the direct links between the source node and destination nodes. Then the transmit and receive mode of two antennas at each relay is adaptively selected based on the relaying link condition. Meanwhile, the best relay with the optimal Tx/Rx antenna configuration is selected to forward the signals. To characterize the performance of the proposed scheme, the closed-form expression of the outage probability is derived; meanwhile, the simple asymptotic expressions are also obtained. Our analysis shows that the proposed scheme obtains the benefits of multi-relay diversity and multi-destination diversity. Moreover, extra space diversity in the medium SNR region can be achieved due to the antenna selection at the relay. Finally, Monte-Carlo simulations are provided to consolidate the analytical results, and show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
In this paper, we configure a Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) gateway using an arduino and raspberry pi which are recent issues with a representative open source hardware. RFID technology is emerging as a key technology in a variety of environments as a technique to automatically identify objects using a radio frequency signal. In this paper, we propose a distributed RFID gateway for providing various communication methods and processing a large amount of RFID tag information efficiently, and to increase the scalability and middleware communication efficiency of the RFID reader. Existing RFID middleware systems have the problems that they should adhere the web service for interworking with a reader and the communication standard. Therefore, in this paper, we comprise our RFID gate to satisfy not only the serial communication configuration but also various digital signal processing standard so that it increases the communication efficiency of the middleware system.
Number and percentage of diseased area of leaf blast lesions formed on different leaf location were mostly distributed from the flag leaf(n-1) to the 3rd leaf from the top(n-3) in Tongil line rice varieties and on the 2nd leaf from the top(n-2) in Japonica type rice varieties. Especially leaf lesions of Nopung which was more susceptible to leaf blast among Ton1 line rice varieties were mostly distributed on flag leaf. Relation between the degree of lesion distribution and level of fertilizer was more clear with an increase of fertilizer quantity. Leaf blast lesions of rice varieties were generally distributed from the flag leaf to the with leaf from the top but mainly those at flag leaf and the 2nd leaf from the top were found to be most responsible for inoculum source of panicle blast after booting stage. Increase of the conidia formation was resulted from fluctuation of temperature$(24^{\circ}C\~16^{\circ}C)$ in low temperature range after booting stage and many inoculum sources were supplied on panicles until the end of September without impeding dispersal from leaf blast lesions as an inoculum source of panicle blast.

Introducing distributed generators(DGs) to utility distribution system can cause malfunction of relay on the grid when ground faults or severe load unbalances are occurred on the system. Because DGs interconnected to the grid can contribute fault currents and make bidirectional power flows on the system, fault currents from DGs can cause an interference of relay operation. A directional over current relay(DOCR) can determine the direction of power flow whether a fault occurs at the source side or load side through detecting the phases of voltage and current simultaneously. However, it is identified in this paper that the contributed fault current(Ifdg) from the ground source when was occurred to contribute single-line-to-ground(SLG) fault current, has various phases according to the distances from the ground source. It means that the directionality of Ifdg may not be determined by simply detecting the phases of voltage and current in some fault conditions. The magnitude of Ifdg can be estimated approximately as high as 3 times of a phase current and its maximum is up to 2,000 A depending on the capacity of generation facilities. In order to prevent malfunction of relay and damage of DG facilities from the contribution of ground fault currents, Ifdg should be limited within a proper range. Installation of neutral ground reactor (NGR) at a primary neutral of interconnection transformer was suggested in the paper. Capacity of the proposed NGR can be adjusted easily by controlling taps of the NGR. An algorithm for unidirectional relay was also proposed to prevent the malfunction of relay due to the fault current, Ifdg. By the algorithm, it is possible to determine the directionality of fault from measuring only the magnitude of fault current. It also implies that the directionality of fault can be detected by unidirectional relay without replacement of relay with the bidirectional relay.
The equivalent source method (ESM) uses two groups of equivalent source positions. One group includes the first order images of the sound source inside the enclosure. The positions of the other group are usually on a spherical surface some distance outside the enclosure. A proper selection of the positions for the far field sources could greatly improve the performance of the modeling accuracy and reduce the number of the sources to achieve the required accuracy. This study uses optimally distributed far field source positions on the surface of enlarged version of the rectangular enclosure instead of using typical spherical distribution. Simulations using various sizes of the box shaped distribution are executed and optimal positions are searched using an optimization technique from the larger number of candidate positions. The results of using these far field source positions are compared and analyzed.

The equivalent source method(ESM) is used for the calculation of the internal pressure field for an enclosure which can have arbitrary boundary conditions and nay include internal objects which scatter the sound field. The advantage of using ESM is that it requires relatively low computing cost and is easy to model the internal diffracting objects. Typical ESM modeling uses two groups of equivalent source positions. One group includes the first order images of the source inside the enclosure. The Positions of the other group are usually on a spherical surface some distance outside the enclosure. The normal velocity on the surfaces of the enclosure walls is evaluated at a larger number of positions than there are equivalent sources. The sum of the squared difference between this velocity and the expected is minimized by adjusting the strength of the equivalent sources. This study is on the optimal far field sources positions when using the equivalent source method. In general, the far field sources are evenly distributed on a surface of a virtual sphere which is centered at the enclosure with a sufficiently large radius. In this study. optimal far field source locations are searched using simulated annealing method for various radii of spheres where far field sources are located. Simulation results showed that optimally located sources with adequate distance away from the enclosure center gave better result than sources with even distribution even with a smaller number of far field sources.

The advantage of using ESM is that it requires relatively low computing cost and is easy to model the internal diffracting objects. In the ESM modelling, some of the equivalent positions are chosen to be the same as the first order images of the source inside the enclosure, some are positioned on a spherical surface some distance outside the enclosure. The electromagnetic wave scattered by an arbitrary-angled dielectric wedge is constructed by physical optics solution and its corrected field. Two models of correction source are obtained; one is multipole line source at tip of wedge and the other is correction electric and magnetic currents distributed along the interfaces of dielectric wedge. Calculated far-field patterns are presented and compared each other.
This paper describes a pre-processing methodology which can apply to remote speech recognition system of service robot in noisy environment. By combining beamforming and blind source separation, we can overcome the weakness of beamforming (reverberation) and blind source separation (distributed noise, permutation ambiguity). As this method is designed to be implemented with hardware, we can achieve real-time execution with FPGA by using systolic array architecture.
