Ocean-bottom seismometer (OBS) positions are one of the key parameters in an OBS-airgun seismic survey for crustal structure study. To improve the quality of these parameters, we have developed a new method of determining OBS positions, using airgun shot data and bathymetric data in addition to available distance measurements by acoustic transponders. The traveltimes of direct water waves emitted by airgun shots and recorded by OBSs are used as important information for determining OBS locations, in cases where there are few acoustic transponder data (<3 sites). The new method consists of two steps. A global search is performed as the first step, to find nodes of the bathymetric grid that are the closest to explaining the observed direct water-wave traveltimes from airgun shots, and acoustic ranging using a transponder system. The use of precise 2D bathymetric data is most important if the bottom topography near the OBS is extremely rough. The locations of the nodes obtained by the first step are used as initial values for the second step, to avoid falling into local convergence minima. In the second step, a non-linear inverse method is executed. If the OBS internal clock shows large drift, a secondary correction for the OBS internal clock is obtained, as well as the OBS location, as final results by this method. We discuss the error and the influence of each measurement used in the determination of OBS location.

In addition to, the possible distance of offering services is scheduled to magnify. At the period when security company's influence has been becoming significant, the injustice transaction is the serious factor which obstructs the development of security companies. Therefore, it is urgent thing to devise counterplans to extirpate injustice transactions. There are the legalistic approaches of the breakthroughs against injustice transactions. One thing is settling the standard of the judgment and the other is renovating the provision of injustice transactions. Utilizing the principles of the fair competitions and importing self-obedience programs within the range of trade actions which is permitted by law, acted as the system approach. Moreover, there are such three things which can achieve mutual balances as establishing the range of the permitted action toward business corporations, applying spontaneously the fair competition principles and introducing the system of standard agreements. Gong further, this can establish order of security service areas and control them. Besides, it is possible for every organizations to make and operate the system appropriately by importing the self-observance system.

Numerical simulation on marine wind and sea surface elevation was carried out using both three-dimensional hydrostatic and non-hydrostatic models and a simple oceanic model from 0900 LST, August 13 to 0900 LST, August 15, 1995. As daytime easterly meso-scale sea-breeze from the eastern sea penetrates Kangnung city in the center part as basin and goes up along the slope of Mt. Taegullyang in the west, it confronts synoptic-scale westerly wind blowing over the top of the mountain at the mid of the eastern slope and then the resultant wind produces an upper level westerly return flow toward the East Sea. In a narrow band of weak surface wind within 10km of the coastal sea, wind stress is generally small, less than l${\times}$10E-2 Pa and it reaches 2 ${\times}$ 10E-2 Pa to the 35 km. Positive wind stress curl of 15 $\times$ 10E-5Pa $m^{-1}$ still exists in the same band and corresponds to the ascent of 70 em from the sea level. This is due to the generation of northerly wind driven current with a speed of 11 m $S^{-1}$ along the coast under the influence of south-easterly wind and makes an intrusion of warm waters from the southern sea into the northern coast, such as the East Korea Warm Current. On the other hand, even if nighttime downslope windstorm of 14m/s associated with both mountain wind and land-breeze produces the development of internal gravity waves with a hydraulic jump motion of air near the coastal inland surface, the surface wind in the coastal sea is relatively moderate south-westerly wind, resulting in moderate wind stress. Negative wind stress curl in the coast causes the subsidence of the sea surface of 15 em along the coast and south-westerly coastal surface wind drives alongshore south-easterly wind driven current, opposite to the daytime one. Then, it causes the intrusion of cold waters like the North Korea Cold Current in the northern coastal sea into the narrow band of the southern coastal sea. However, the band of positive wind stress curl at the distance of 30km away from the coast toward further offshore area can also cause the uprising of sea waters and the intrusion of warm waters from the southern sea toward the northern sea (northerly wind driven current), resulting in a counter-clockwise wind driven current. These clockwise and counter-clockwise currents much induce the formation of low clouds containing fog and drizzle in the coastal region.
Unlike NG supplied through pipes, LPG is mainly used for independent storage of cylinders or small storage tanks. As LPG is widely used in islands and underdeveloped areas, accidents due to neglect of safety management are high. Houses and businesses that have LPG accidents are likely to be damaged due to relatively high population density. Therefore, the necessity of strengthening the safety management of LPG is constantly raised. Accordingly, in 1996, Korea Gas Safety Corporation conducted an LPG leak test. In this study, based on the 96-year experiment, the gas leakage measurement of LPG vessels was conducted by adding several conditions such as outside temperature and pipe condition. Through this, the trend of leakage for various scenarios of LPG leakage was examined. In the case of a gas leak, when the article which may affect the pressure such as a regulator is not connected, the leakage amount is greatly changed by the outside air temperature, and when the regulator is fastened, the influence of the outlet pressure is large. It is expected that the experiment can be used as basic data for determining gas accidents and leakages that may occur later.
For vibration control of stay cables in cable-stayed bridges, viscous dampers are frequently used, and they are regularly installed between the cable and the bridge deck. In practice, neoprene rubber bushings (or of other types) are also widely installed inside the cable guide pipe, mainly for reducing the bending stresses of the cable near its anchorages. Therefore, it is important to understand the effect of the bushings on the performance of the external damper. Besides, for long cables, external dampers installed at a single position near a cable end can no longer provide enough damping due to the sag effect and the limited installation distance. It is thus of interest to improve cable damping by additionally installing dampers inside the guide pipe. This paper hence studies the combined effects of an external damper and an internal damper (which can also model the bushings) on a stay cable. The internal damper is assumed to be a High Damping Rubber (HDR) damper, and the external damper is considered to be a viscous damper with intrinsic stiffness, and the cable sag is also considered. Both the cases when the two dampers are installed close to one cable end and respectively close to the two cable ends are studied. Asymptotic design formulas are derived for both cases considering that the dampers are close to the cable ends. It is shown that when the two dampers are placed close to different cable ends, their combined damping effects are approximately the sum of their separate contributions, regardless of small cable sag and damper intrinsic stiffness. When the two dampers are installed close to the same end, maximum damping that can be achieved by the external damper is generally degraded, regardless of properties of the HDR damper. Field tests on an existing cable-stayed bridge have further validated the influence of the internal damper on the performance of the external damper. The results suggest that the HDR is optimally placed in the guide pipe of the cable-pylon anchorage when installing viscous dampers at one position is insufficient. When an HDR damper or the bushing has to be installed near the external damper, their combined damping effects need to be evaluated using the presented methods.
The primary purpose of this paper is to identify the influencing factors on the new products adoption between countries and generations. For this purpose, a research is developed based on the relevant literature reviews. Data have been collected from 524 persons and were tested by t-test and various statistical methods. The results of this empirical study are summarized as follows. In the cultural factors, the groupism has high discretion in China old generation. The materialism and shopping preference have high discretion in two young generations. There is no difference between the two groups in the distance of power. In innovativeness of personality, Korea and China young generation have high discretion. Innovativeness has high discretion in Korea and China youngs. Cognition and sensory innovativeness are has low discretion in Korea old. In the social risk perception, physiological, functional general and financial risk has high discretion in China old. In risk reducing behavior, the normative taking level and ad, new product adoption has high discretion in Korea and China youngs. But, the influence of others has high discretion in China old generation. The safety and brand reputation are no influences. The findings have a several marketing strategies in generation and countries.

An electric vehicle is an environmentally friendly vehicle because there is no exhaust gas, unlike gasoline automobiles. On the other hand, because the electric vehicle is driven by electric power charged in batteries, the distance to go through a single charge depends on the energy density of the batteries. Therefore, a lithium-ion battery with a high energy density is a good candidate for batteries in electric vehicles. Because the electrode is an essential component that governs the efficiency of a lithium-ion battery, the electrode manufacturing process plays a vital role in the entire production process of lithium-ion batteries. In particular, the drying process during the electrode manufacturing process is a critical process that has a significant influence on the performance. This paper proposes an innovative process for improving the efficiency and productivity of the drying process in electrode manufacturing and describe the equipment design method and development results. In particular, the design procedure and development method for enhancing the electrode adhesion power, atmospheric pressure superheated steam drying technology, and drying furnace slimming technologies are presented. As a result, high-speed drying technology was developed for battery electrodes through the world's first turbo dryer technology for mass production using open/integrated atmospheric pressure superheated steam. Compared to the conventional drying process, the drying furnace improved the productivity (Dry Lead Time $0.7min{\rightarrow}0.5min$).
Negative repetition effect (NRE) refers to the phenomenon that the accuracy of report is impaired when a target was flanked by the same distractor than when by alternative distractor. To probe the nature of NRE, this study introduced attention window(s) indicating the positions where a target might be presented, and non-attention window(s) where a target could not be presented. Attention windows are supposed to help participants detect targets readily. Two among three positions are indicated by attention windows in Exp. 1, and a single large attention window encompassing central two positions among four positions was used in Exp. 2, and either large or small attention window was used depending on the number of target candidates in Exp. 3. In the result of three experiments, NREs were consistently observed when both positions of a target and a distractor were indicated by previous attention windows. However, NREs (including its tendency) and its opposite, PREs were observed when a distractor was presented in the non-attention position, depending on its distance from the target and the size of attention window. It seems that this pattern of repetition effects is hard to be explained by repetition blindness hypothesis (Kanwisher, 1991), positional uncertainty hypothesis (Keren & Boer, 1985), and inhibitory attention capture hypothesis (Kwak et al., 1993). Instead it was proposed that shifting of spatial attention should be considered accordingly with the structure of stimulus display. The promising role of this task was discussed in studying the relation of attention and perception.

This study has been carried out to reveal the mineralogical compositions, the concentrations of heavy metals, and related factors in the sediments of the Kumho River which is the main tributary of the Nakdong River. Even though this river flows in a short distance, it runs through different geology and industrial areas and can be a good candidate to study different geological and anthropogenic factors affecting the concentrations of heavy metals in the sediment. The major rock-forming minerals were quartz and albite. Minor amount of orthoclase, microcline, and amphybole were also identified. Clay minerals including illite, chlorite, kaolinite were associated with those minerals. In the downstream, no noticeable changes in species and amount of minerals were observed, indicating there is almost no influence on the mineralogical compositions from rock types. The concentrations of heavy metals in the sediments are in the order of Zn > Pb > Cu > Ni > Cr > Co > Cd. Following the downstream, the concentrations of heavy metals generally increase, except Pb. The regional increase of the heavy metal content is well correlated with the location of the tributary. Without changes in mineral compositions, the main factors controlling the heavy metal contents are the locations of pollutant sources. Except Pb and Ni, most of the concentrations of heavy metals were thought to be enriched by the past pollutant sources.

The automobile industry has developed Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADASs) to prevent traffic accidents and reduce the burden for drivers. One example is the Lane Keeping Assistance System (LKAS), which was developed for automotive vehicle systems for safety and better driving. The main system of the LKAS supports the driver while maintaining the vehicle within a lane. LKAS uses a radar sensor and camera sensor to collect information about the vehicle's position in the lane and send commands to the actuator to influence the lateral movement of the vehicle if necessary. Recently, vehicles equipped with LKAS have become commercially available. Test procedures for international LKAS evaluation are being discussed and developed by international committees, such as the International Organization for Standardization and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. In Korea, an evaluation of LKASs for car safety is being planned by the Korean New Car Assessment Program. Therefore, test procedures should be developed for LKASs that are suitable for the domestic road environment while accommodating international standards. We developed a test scenario for LKASs and propose a formula for obtaining the target relative distance. To validate the methods, a series of experiments were conducted using commercially available vehicles equipped with LKAS.
