A Study on the Wearing Condition of Skinny Jeans of 20's Women (20대 성인 여성의 스키니 진 착용 실태 조사)

  • This study examines wearing conditions of skinny jeans for women in their 20's. The study is based on a questionnaire survey. The survey was conducted on 313 Korean 20's women living in Gwangju to analyze wearing dissatisfaction with skinny jeans. The final analysis included 298 responses and the content of the questionnaire consisted of 28 questions. The study used descriptive statistics for analysis using SPSS Statistics 20.0. According to the questionnaire survey, 20's women are the largest group that wear skinny jeans and they have a positive image of them. However, they do not know the exact size for skinny jeans, whereas they are knowledgeable about their general pants size. The results of the survey on the state of wearing dissatisfaction indicate that they think that the difference in size by each brand is the most difficult part when choosing skinny jeans and they felt lower body uncomfortableness in the waist and abdominal positions. It means that size subdivision and pattern development of skinny jeans should be suitable to all lower body types to resolve wearing dissatisfaction. This study represents base data for size subdivision and pattern development of skinny jeans.

Dissatisfaction with and design preferences for mountain gear as determined by specialization activity-pursued for recreational mountaineering (여가적 등산에서의 전문화 활동 추구에 따른 등산복 불만족과 선호 디자인)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in the dissatisfaction with and design preferences for mountain gear among the segments divided by specialization activity-pursued for recreational mountaineering. Data were collected by questionnaire survey from 900 subjects with the experiences of mountaineering and purchasing mountain gear in the past year, and 891 were used for the data analysis. The results of the study were as follows: Three factors were formulated based on mountaineering specialization activity-pursued: expertise-pursued mountaineering, mountaineering with psychological attachment and activity-oriented mountaineering. Four segments were identified based on the specialization activity-pursued: the emotionally-committed, the continuously-participated, the expertise-pursued, and the passively-participated. Significant differences were found in dissatisfaction with and design preference for mountain gear among the segments. The expertise-pursued tended to be more dissatisfied with color and fabric than the others, and preferred various mountain gear design of shape, color combination and construction line. On the other hand, the passively-participated tended to prefer simple and comfortable style with solid color and simple color combination.

Classification of Consumer Review Information Based on Satisfaction/Dissatisfaction with Availability/Non-availability of Information (구매후기 정보의 충족/미충족에 따른 소비자의 만족/불만족 인식 및 구매후기 정보의 유형화)

  • This study identified the types of consumer review information about apparel products based on consumer satisfaction/dissatisfaction with the availability/non-availability of consumer review information for online stores. Data were collected from 318 females aged 20s' to 30s', who had significant experience in reading consumer reviews posted on online stores. Consumer satisfaction/dissatisfaction with availability or non-availability of review information on online stores is different for information in regards to apparel product attributes, product benefits, and store attributes. According to the concept of quality elements suggested by the Kano model, two types of consumer review information were determined: Must-have information (product attribute information about size, fabric, color and design of the apparel product; benefit information about washing & care and comport of the apparel product; store attribute information about responsiveness, disclosure, delivery and after service of the store) and attracting information (attribute information about price comparison; benefit information about coordination with other items, fashionability, price discounts, value for price, reaction from others, emotion experienced during transaction, symbolic features for status, health functionality, and eco-friendly feature; store attribute information about return/refund, damage compensation and reputation/credibility of online store and interactive and dynamic nature of reviews among customers). There were significant differences between the high and low involvement groups in their perceptions of consumer review information.

The Effects of Internet Shopping Mall Attributes and Regret on the Complaining Behavior and Repurchase Intentions (인터넷 쇼핑몰 속성 지각과 후회가 불평 행동과 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study focused on examining methods for the favorable relationship between internet shopping mall and customers from a point of view that it was necessary for internet fashion market getting faced with keen competition to change its marketing focus from securing new customers to customer retention strategies. Measurement instruments were selected to measure these variables and a questionnaire was made. Data was collected in 491 men and women in their twenties residing in Gwangju city using the questionnaire. The analysis results were summarized as follows: First, in the failure to purchase fashion products in internet shopping mall, as consumer's favorable internet shopping attributes, their possibility of complaining and repurchase intentions became higher, and had negative effect on regret and dissatisfaction. Second, attributions of the result of a failure to purchase fashion products in internet shopping mall were found to increase regret and dissatisfaction. Third, customers experiencing regret and dissatisfaction showed a very high possibility of complaining but their possibility of repurchase intentions had negative affect.

Effect of Incivility, Resilience, and Social Support Experienced by Nursing Students on Burnout in Clinical Practice (간호대학생이 임상실습에서 경험하는 무례함, 극복력, 사회적 지지가 소진에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine effect of incivility, resilience, and social support experienced by nursing students on burnout in clinical practice. Methods: Subjects were 140 nursing students who agreed to participate in this study. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Results: Burnout showed significantly positive correlation with incivility but significantly negative correlations with resilience and social support. Factors affecting burnout were satisfaction with major-dissatisfaction, satisfaction with major-average, social support, grade, and relationship with peers. Satisfaction with major (dissatisfaction) had the greatest effect on burnout, explaining 41% of the total variance. Conclusion: According to this study, dissatisfaction with major was identified as the most significant factor influencing burnout of nursing students in clinical practice. Therefore, it is important to develop and implement programs that can reduce dissatisfaction with major and increase social support and relationship with peers in order to lower burnout of nursing students. In addition, a systemic management of fourth-grade students with a high level of clinical practice is necessary to reduce the level of clinical practice.   • Instatoon is a type of webtoons distributed through Instagram, but in the process of advancement of the webtoon industry, it shows the possibility of diversifying into a new genre that meets creativity, and diversity beyond uniform commercial webtoons. Since it does not go through a large platform, the content is freely composed. In addition, it is differentiated from other types of webtoons because in many cases artists create instatoon by adding entertaining elements into their real-life stories rather than drawing fictional ones. Furthermore, instatoons are free to enjoy, satisfaction level is high, but in most cases, even if there is a complaint, readers just enjoy webtoons without expressing it. We aimed to find out how the service quality characteristics of these instatoons affect behavioral intentions through the coexistence of satisfaction and dissatisfaction of readers, and meaninful results were found through empirical analysis. We discusses factors affecting the spread of Instatoons, including readers' satisfaction and dissatisfaction, the importance of relatability, good directing, and informativeness. The study emphasizes the need to approach maintaining existing readers and attracting new ones separately, and to manage readers effectively in the future.

  • Purpose Digital platforms, together with the innovative technologies of modern society, are accelerating the digital innovation of the entire economy and society. Although social media platforms are gradually integrated into daily life, due to social media overload, users limit their use of the platform for a certain period of time or eventually choose to stop using it. In the context of social media platform, the purpose of this paper is to study the effects of information overload, social overload and system function overload on users' unintentional avoidance behavior, mediated by fatique and dissatisfaction. Design/methodology/approach This study empirically examines the influence of social media overload characteristics on users' unintentional avoidance behavior of platform utilization using the S-O-R framework. Data from 236 Chinese social media users were collected through a questionnaire survey, and the hypotheses were validated by evaluating the research model using the SmartPLS 4.0 program using Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, based on the S-O-R model, first, it is confirmed that information overload and system feature overload have significant positive(+) effects on fatigue. Second, this study finds that information overload, social overload and fatigue have significant positive(+) effects on dissatisfaction. Thirdly, fatigue and dissatisfaction have significant positive(+) effects on unintentional avoidance. In addition, social overload has no significant effect on fatigue, while system feature overload has no significant effect on dissatisfaction.

A Study on The Wearing Condition of Jeans for Development of Slim-fit Jeans Pattern (슬림핏 청바지 패턴 개발을 위한 청바지 착용 실태 조사)

  • This study provides information on how to improve the wearing sensation and the fit of slim-fit jeans through an analysis of actual wearing conditions and dissatisfaction. The study is based on a questionnaire survey. A survey was conducted on 296 women in their 20s living in Korea to analyze wearing dissatisfaction with slim-fit jeans. The study used descriptive statistics for analysis using SPSS Statistics Ver.23. Surveys on the actual situation of wearing jeans and level of dissatisfaction indicated that most women in their 20s mainly wore slim-fit jeans and were aware of the size of their jeans. Most tended to double-check the size of the jeans, indicating that the inaccurate sizing system of slim-fit jeans caused confusion for consumers. In addition, the results of the survey on the most considered parts of the body when consumers buy jeans are waist, thigh and leg length. They insisted that their waists were thin and their thighs were thicker than their waists; so their pants would not fit and they were obese. There is a problem between waist size and thigh size; therefore, it is necessary to develop new patterns for slim-fit jeans with improved fit around the waist area that can improve the negative results of surveys on the level of dissatisfaction, indicating discomfort in the waist, belly, and thigh areas while wearing slim-fit jeans.

A Study on the Consumer's Dissatisfaction with Jean Pants Quality and Purchasing Pattern (청바지 품질에 대한 소비자의 불만족 및 구매 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the consumers' purchasing pattern and dissatisfaction with the quality of the jean pants. A total of 695 men and women completed the questionnaire. The questionnaire for the survey measured consumer's jean pants purchasing pattern and dissatisfaction for quality. The results of this study showed that men bought higher priced jeans. Women in their twenties purchased and worn jeans frequently and men and women in age 20s mainly bought jeans at wholesale stores or department stores; but, majority of subjects in their thirties bought jeans at discount stores. Consumer's dissatisfaction with the quality of jean pants was significantly different among the groups by age, gender or their pursuing buying benefit. The men and women in age 30s were dissatisfied with harshness of the denim fabric. The subjects, who highly concerned on the aesthetic value, were dissatisfied with the inconsistence color of the jean pants after washing. Men and women who valued the functional performance of jean pants, were dissatisfied with low sweat absorbancy of jean pants material. The results of this study showed that the consumer's buying pattern for jean pants were differentiated by their age and gender. These results imply that jean pants manufacturers should develop jean pants to meet the needs of their target market. The jean pants, which were manufactured for discount stores, should be made of fabrics with good sweat absorbancy and soft hand. The fashion jean pants, which were targeted for women seeking aesthetic values, should be improved to maintain color consistency of the fabric.

The Relationship of Body Dissatisfaction, Personality Characteristic, and Stress in Young Adults (젊은 성인에서 신체 불만족과 성격 특성 및 스트레스와의 관계)

  • Objective : The aims of this study was to evaluate relationship between body dissatisfaction, personality characteristic, and stress in young adults. Methods : One hundred and ninety five young, healthy, and normal participants filled out all 3 types of self-reported questionnaire, the Body Dysmorphic Disorder Examination-Self Report (Korean version of BDDE-SR ; K-BDDE-SR), Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness-Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) and Stress Scale of Korean version of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (K-DASS-21). Results : Out of the 195 participants, 30% (n=59) was male and 70% (n=136) was female. There was no statistical difference between high K-BDDE-SR group (K-BDDE-SR score 75 percentile or higher, n=50) and low K-BDDE-SR group (K-BDDE-SR score below than 75 percentile, n=145) in terms of weight, height, and BMI. In high K-BDDE-SR group, neuroticism was significantly higher than low K-BDDE-SR group, and extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness were significantly lower than low K-BDDE-SR group. Also, level of stress in high K-BDDE-SR group was significantly higher than low K-BDDE-SR group. Conclusion : Our study revealed that individual's with more body dissatisfaction were more neurotic and stressful. Thus, body dissatisfaction and diverse psychiatric diseases should be considered in treating neurotic and stressful young adults.
