  • In this paper we apply the third-order differential subordination results to normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk. We obtain appropriate classes of admissible functions and find some sufficient conditions of functions to be starlike associated with Tamanoi's Schwarzian derivative of third order. Several interesting examples are also discussed.

  • We introduce a subclass $S_s^{({\kappa})}$(A,B) (-1 ${\leq}$ B < A ${\leq}$ 1) of functions which are analytic in the open unit disk and close-to-convex with respect to ${\kappa}$-symmetric points. We give some coefficient inequalities, integral representations and invariance properties of functions belonging to this class.

LOCAL MASS DENSITY OF HALO STARS

  • From the kinematically unbiased sample of halo stars, the local mass density of halo dwarfs is estimated as $6.0{\sim}6.3{\times}10^{-4}m_{\odot}/pc^3$ by adopting a color-magnitude relation and a mass-luminosity relation. The derived halo mass density is not much different from the results of previous studies, which were derived from the kinematically biased sample of halo stars. Therefore it is confirmed that the local mass density of halo stars is far less than that required by Ostriker-Peebles to stabilize the galactic disk against barlike instabilities.

$CO_{2}$ Gas Sensing Characteristics of Lithium ionic Solid Electrolyte prepared by Sol-gel Method (Sol-gel법에 의한 Li 이온-고체 전해질의 $CO_{2}$ 가스 감지 특성)

  • Lithium ionic solid electrolyte was synthesized at $60^{\circ}C$ in $N_{2}$ ambience by sol-gel method, using tetraethyl orthosilcate, lithium methoxide, zirconium n-propoxide, and tributyle phosphate as precursors. The prepared material was dried and crushed into powder, and it was pressed into disk type samples. These samples were sintered at $900^{\circ}C{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$ for 50 hours. The physical characteristics of the samples were investigated by TG/DTA, SEM, AES and XRD methods. $CO_{2}$ sensor based on lithium ionic solid electrolyte was fabricated and its operational characteristics were measured. The sensing characteristics of the sensor sintered at $1000^{\circ}C$ shows the variation of e.m.f. about $35{\sim}63\;mV/decade$ for the variation of $CO_{2}$ concentration at $200^{\circ}C{\sim}300^{\circ}C$ of operating temperature, and good linearity for $300{\sim}6000\;ppm$.

  • 이 연구에서는 SUS304 기판과 Cr-Al-Si-N 코팅사이의 밀착특성을 향상시키기 위하여 하이브리드 증착법으로 Cr Interlayer를 기판위에 증착시킨 후 Cr-Al-Si-N 코팅을 증착하였다. 그리고 Ball-on-disk 마모테스트와 스크래치 테스트를 통해 밀착력, 파괴기구, 그리고 마찰거동 등을 살펴보았다. Cr-Al-Si-N 코팅에 60nm 두께의 Cr Interlayer 삽입되었을 때는 기판에 Cr-Al-Si-N 코팅만 증착되었을 때의 밀착력(${\sim}30N$) 보다 더 우수한 ${\sim}50N$의 밀착력을 나타내었고 내마모성 또한 향상되었다. 밀착력 증가는 Cr Interlayer 삽입에 따른 SUS304 기판과 Cr-Al-Si-N 코팅사이의 전단응력 감소에 기인한 것으로 사료된다.

A Study on Bond Strength between Fiber Sheet and Concrete for Concrete Surface Preparation and Heating Condition (콘크리트 표면처리와 가열조건에 따른 섬유쉬트와 콘크리트의 부착강도에 관한 연구)

  • An advanced fiber sheet has been widely used for strengthening of the concrete structures due to its excellent properties such as high strength and light weight. Bond strength is very important in strengthening the concrete structures using an advanced fiber sheet. This research examines the bond behavior between fiber sheet and concrete, investigates the bond strength by the direct pull-out test and the tensile-shear test. To obtain the tensile-shear strength a double-face shear type bond test is conducted. The primary test variables are the types of concrete surface roughness (disk-grinding/chipping) and retrofitting methods (bonding/injection). Thirty specimens were tested to evaluate the bond strength. It is shown that the average bond strength between fiber sheet and concrete by the direct pull-out test and the tensile-shear test is $22.3{\sim}23.1kgf/cm^2$ $17.92{\sim}19.75kgf/cm^2$, respectively.

Dynamic Cell Leveling to Support Location Based Queries in R-trees (R-tree에서 위치 기반 질의를 지원하기 위한 동적 셀 레벨링)

  • Location Based Services(LBSs) in mobile environments become very popular recently. For efficient LBSs, spatial database management systems must need a spatial indexing scheme such as R-trees in order to manage the huge spatial database. However, it may need unnecessary disk accesses since it needs to access objects which are not actually concerned to user's location-based queries. In this paper, to support the location-based queries efficiently, we propose a CLR-tree(Cell Leveling R-tree) in which a dynamic cell is built up within the minimum bounding rectangle of R-trees' node. The cell level of nodes is compared with the query's cell level in location-based query processing and determines the minimum search space. Also, we propose the insertion, split, deletion, and search algorithms for CRL-trees. From the experimental results, we see that a CLR-tree is able to decrease $5{\sim}20%$ of disk accesses from those of R-trees. So, a CLR-tree can be used for fast accessing spatial objects to user's location-based queries in LBSs.

Accretion Flow and Raman-scattered O VI and C II Features in the Symbiotic Nova RR Telescopii

  • RR Tel is an interacting binary system in which a hot white dwarf (WD) accretes matter from a Mira variable via gravitational capture of the stellar wind. We present a high-resolution optical spectrum of RR Tel obtained with MIKE at Magellan-Clay telescope, Chile. We find broad emission features at 6825, 7082, 7023, and $7053{\AA}$, which are formed through Raman scattering of far-UV O VI ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 1032 and $1038{\AA}$, C II ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 1036 and $1037{\AA}$ with atomic hydrogen. Raman O VI 6825 and 7082 features are characterized by double-peaked profiles indicative of an accretion flow with a characteristic speed ~ 30km/s, whereas the Raman C II features exhibit a single Gaussian profile with FWHM ${\sim}10{\AA}$. Monte Carlo simulations for Raman O VI and C II are performed by assuming that the emission nebula around the WD consists of the inner O VI disk with a representative scale of 1 AU and the outer part with C II sphere. The best fit for Raman profiles is obtained with an asymmetric matter distribution of the O VI disk, the mass loss rate of the cool companion ${\dot{M}}{\sim}2{\times}10^{-6}M_{{\odot}/yr}$ and the wind terminal velocity v~10 km/s. We also find O VI doublet at 3811 and $3834{\AA}$, which are blended with other emission lines. Our profile decomposition shows that the O VI ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 3811, 3834 doublet have a single Gaussian profile with a width ~ 25 km/s. A comparison of the restored fluxes of C II ${\lambda}{\lambda}$ 1036 and 1037 from Raman C II features with the observed C II ${\lambda}1335$ leads to an estimate of a lower bound of N(CII) > $9.87{\times}10^{13}cm^{-2}$ toward RR Tel, which appears consistent with the presumed distance D ~ 2.6 kpc.

Query Optimization Scheme using Query Classification in Hybrid Spatial DBMS (하이브리드 공간 DBMS에서 질의 분류를 이용한 최적화 기법)

  • We propose the query optimization technique using query classification in hybrid spatial DBMS. In our approach, user queries should to be classified into three types: memory query, disk query, and hybrid query. Specialty, In the hybrid query processing, the query predicate is divided by comparison between materialized view creating conditions and user query conditions. Then, the deductions of the classified queries' cost formula are used for the query optimization. The optimization is mainly done by the selection algorithm of the smallest cost data access path. Our approach improves the performance of hybrid spatial DBMS than traditional disk-based DBMS by $20%{\sim}50%$.

  • Added ratio of 8YSZ powder and organic compounds (solvent, plasticizer, dispersant, binder) properly. It manufactured electrolysis membrane by wet process that make slurry and dry process that do not use organic compounds. In the case of wet process, harmony combination and method of organic compound are an importance element in slurry manufacture. This slurry did calcine at temperature of 140$^{\circ}C$ in Furnace and manufactured electrolyte disk by Dry pressing method. Like this, manufacturing disk sintered at temperature of $1300^{\circ}C,\;1400^{\circ},\;1500^{\circ}C$ in Furnace and completed electrolysis membrane. Confirmed change of crystal structure and decision form through analysis of density, SEM, XRD according to change of sintering temperature, and considered relation with ion conductivity.
