In this paper, we design and fabricate a disk sector antenna fed by CPW fur UWB communications. Also, we insert a rectangular slit on the arc-edge of the disk sector antenna. Then, the antenna has the directivity of E-면. In order to design the antenna, the input impedance is matched with the feed line of $50{\Omega}$ as varying the physical antenna parameters, which are the radius, the flare angle of disk sector, the length of ground, and the length of ground comer near by feed tine. Dimension of the antenna designed for UWB communication is $72mm{\times}26mm$ and bandwidth through computer simulation is $3{\sim}13GHz$. From the measured results, the bandwidth is $1.98{\sim}11GHz$. Return loss and gain of the fabricated antenna are -50.38dB, 1.34dBi at 3.5GHz, -12.27dB, 3.35dBi at 5.5GHz, -23.2dB, 3.8dBi at 8GHz and -16.17dB, 5.2dBi at 10GHz, respectively.

This study contains to theory and analysis research for the stress and the translation of an expand disk that fix a ring gear for tooth profile machining. The stress of the expand disk is analysed by the finite element method(FEM) to calculate design parameters. From the analysis results, the stress of the expand shows a linear tendency under various fixing force. This results show that the expand disk have a elastic characteristics as a disk spring. The maximum stress was observed on under side in split section of the expand disk. It is verified that the analysis results are useful to calculate design parameters of the expand disk.
We examine the morphology and luminosity distribution of a strongly warped spiral galaxy PGC 20348 by conducting a detailed BVI CCD surface photometry using BOAO 1.8m telescope. The radial surface brightness shows a break at warp radius $(r_{\omega})$ with a shallow gradient in the inner disk and a steeper gradient in the outer disk. The luminosity of east side of the disk is ${\sim}0.5$ mag fainter than the west side at r > $r_{\omega}$. The reason for the asymmetric luminosity distribution is thought to be the asymmetric flarings that result in the formation of a large diffuse region at the edge of the east disk and a smaller diffuse region at the west disk. The vertical luminosity profiles show a thick disk component whose scale heights increase with increasing galactocentric distances. The warp of PGC 20348 seems to be made by the tidal interactions with the two massive companion galaxies since the flarings and radial increase of disk scale heights are thought to be general properties of tidally perturbed disks. According to the colors of the two clumps inside the diffuse region at the edge of the east disk, they seem to be sites of active star formation triggered by tidal forces from the companion galaxies.
In this study, we are investigated experimentally the pumping characteristics about the pumping channel shapes of disk-type drag pump (DTDP). We are experimented the pumping performance about the rotors which have channel or do not exist. The channel disk-type rotor has spiral channels both upper and lower part, and stator is planar. The planar disk-type rotor hasn't channel and stator has spiral channels both upper and lower part. The flow-meter method is adopted to calculate the pumping speed. Compression ratio and pumping speeds for the nitrogen gas are measured under the inlet pressure range of 0.001 ${\sim}$ 4 Torr. The maximum of compression ratio was about 3300 for three-stage DTDP (channel disk-type rotor), 1000 for four-stage (planar disk-type rotor) and two-stage DTDP (channel disk-type rotor) at zero throughput. The ultimate pressure was $1.6{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr for three-stage DTDP (channel disk-type rotor), $2.5{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr for four-stage DTDP (planar disk-type rotor).
Previous HI survey data have shown that the central HI gas in the Milky Way that resides within ~1.5 kpc of the Galactic Centre (GC) is tilted by ${\sim}15^{\circ}$ with respect to the Galactic plane. Although several models, such as a tilted disk model, have been suggested to interpret the observed morphology of the HI layer, it is still unknown what causes and how it preserves its tilted structure. We study the behavior of a gas disk near the GC using an N-body / SPH code. Our galaxy model includes four components; nuclear bulge, bulge, disk and halo. We construct a HI model whose radius is 1.3 kpc, scale height is 100 pc and mass is $3.6{\times}10^6M_{\odot}$. We also assume that the gas disk is initially tilted $30^{\circ}$ with respect to the Galactic plane. Here we report our simulation results and discuss the evolution of the tilted gas disk.

The performance of modern mainframe computers keeps increasing due to the advances in the semiconductor technology. However, the quest for the faster computer has never been satisfied. To overcome the discrepancy in the supply and demand, we studied a high performance computer architecture utilizing a three-dimensional Holographic Data Storage Systems (HDSS) as a secondary storage system. The HDSS can achieve a high storage density by utilizing the third dimension. Furthermore, the HDSS can exploit the parallelism by processing the two-dimensional data in a single step. To compare the performance of the HDSS with the conventional hard disk based storage system, we modeled the HDSS using the DiskSim simulation engine and performed the simulation study. Results showed that the HDSS can improve the access time by 1.7 times.
We present our observational attempts to precisely measure the central mass of a proto-brown dwarf candidate, L328-IRS, in order to investigate whether L328-IRS is in the substellar mass regime. Observations were made for the central region of L328-IRS with the dust continuum and CO isotopologue line emission at ALMA band 6, discovering the detailed outflow activities and a deconvolved disk structure of a size of ${\sim}87AU{\times}{\sim}37AU$. We investigated the rotational velocities as a function of the disk radius, finding that its motions between 130 AU and 60 AU are partially fitted with a Keplerian orbit by a stellar object of ${\sim}0.30M_{\odot}$, while the motions within 60 AU do not follow any Keplerian orbit at all. This makes it difficult to lead a reliable estimation of the mass of L328-IRS. Nonetheless, our ALMA observations were useful enough to well constrain the inclination angle of the outflow cavity of L328-IRS as ${\sim}66^{\circ}$ degree, enabling us to better determine the mass accretion rate of ${\sim}8.9{\times}10^{-7}M_{\odot}yr-1$.From assumptions that the internal luminosity of L328-IRS is mostly due to this mass accretion process in the disk, or that L328-IRS has mostly accumulated the mass through this constant accretion rate during its outflow activity, its mass was estimated to be ${\sim}0.012-0.023M_{\odot}$, suggesting L328-IRS to be a substellar object. However, we leave our identification of L328-IRS as a proto-brown dwarf to be tentative because of various uncertainties especially regarding the mass accretion rate.
It has been studied the flow near a rotating disk with surface topography. The system Ekman number is assumed very small, i.e., $E[{\equiv}\frac{\nu}{{\Omega}^{\ast}L^{\ast2}}]<<1$ in which $L^{\ast}$ denotes a disk radius, ${\nu}$ kinematic viscosity of the fluid and ${\Omega}^{\ast}$ angular velocity of the basic state. Disk surface has a sinusoidal topographic variation along radial coordinate, i.e., $z={\delta}cos(2{\pi}{\omega}r)$, where ${\delta}$ and ${\omega}$ are, respectively, nondimensional amplitude and wave number of the disk surface. Analytic solutions, being useful over the parametric ranges of ${\delta}{\sim}O$( $E^{1/2}$ ) and ${\omega}{\leq}O$ ( $E^{1/2}$ ), are secured in a series-function form of Fourier-Bessel type. An asymptotic behavior, when $E{\rightarrow}0$, is clarified as : for a disk with surface roughness, in contrast to the case of a flat disk, the azimuthal velocity increases in magnitude, together with the thickening boundary layer. The radial velocity, however, decreases in magnitude as the amplitude of surface waviness increases. Consequently, the overall Ekman pumping at the edge of the boundary layer remains unchanged, maintaining the constant value equal to that of the flat disk.
The high-resolution near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy can reveal the evidence of the accretion burst (e.g., the broadened absorption features produced by the Keplerian disk motion) although the moment of the outburst was not caught. The embedded protostar IRAS 16316-1540 observed with the Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrograph (IGRINS, $R={\Delta}{\lambda}/{\lambda}{\sim}45000$) shows the broad absorption features in atomic and CO transitions, as seen in FU Orionis objects (FUors), indicative of an outburst event. We examine whether the spectra of IRAS 16316-1540 arise from the rotating inner hot gaseous disk. Using the IGRINS spectral library, we show that the line profiles of IRAS 16316-1540 are more consistent with an M1.5 V template spectrum convolved with a disk rotation profile than the protostellar photosphere absorption features with a high stellar rotation velocity. We also note that the absorption features deviated from the expected line profile of the accretion disk model can be explained by a turbulence motion generated in the disk atmosphere. From previous observations that show the complex environment and the misaligned outflow axes in IRAS 16316-1540, we suggest that an impact of infalling clumpy envelope material against the disk induces the disk precession, causing the accretion burst from the inner disk to the protostar.
Existing techniques for defragmentation of the file system need intensive disk operation for some periods at specific time such as disk defragmentation program. In this paper, for solving this problem, we design and implement the automatic and continuous defragmentation free system by distributing the disk operation. We propose the Automatic Layout Scoring(ALS) mechanism for measuring defragmentation degree and suggest the Lazy Copy mechanism that copies the defragmented data at idle time for scattering the disk operation. We search the defragmented file by Automatic Layout Scoring mechanism and then find for empty spaces for that searched file. After lazy copy of searched fils to empty space for preventing that file from being lost, the algorithm solves the defragmentation problem by updating the I-node of that file. We implement these algorithms in Linux and evaluate them for small and defragmented file to get the layout scoring. We outperform the Linux EXT2 file system by $2.4%{\sim}10.4%$ in layout scoring evaluation. And the performance of read and write for various file size is better than the EXT2 by $1%{\sim}8.5%$ for write performance and by $1.2%{\sim}7.5%$ for read performance. We suggest this system for solving the problem of defragmentation automatically without disturbing the I/O task and manual management.
