  • The introduction of the fast Fourier transform(FFT),an efficient computational algorithm for the discrete Fourier transform(DFT) by Cooley and Tukey(1965), has brought to the limelight various other discrete transforms. Some of the analog functions from which these transforms have been derived date back to the early 1920's, for example, Walsh functions (Walsh, 1923) and Hadamard Transform(Enomoto et al, 1965). Fast algorithms developed for the forward transform are equally applicable, exept for minor changes, to the inverse transform. In this paper, we present a simple pipelined Hadamard matrix(HM) which is used to develop a fast algorithm for the Hadamard Processor (HP). The Fast Hadamard Transform(FHT) can be derived using matrix partitioning techniques. The HP system is incorporated through a modular design which permits tailoring to meet a wide range of video data link applications. Emphasis has been placed on a low cost, a low power design suitable for airbone system and video codec.

  • In this paper we present an integrated Hail sensor It for fan motors, fabricated in industrial bipolar process. As a discrete Hall sensor and signal processing circuitry In the fan motor system were Integrated into single chip a temperature dependence of Hall sensitivity and Hall offset voltage can be compensated and cancelled by on-chip circuitry. We Propose a novel temperature compensation of Hall sensitivity with negative temperature coefficient (TC) using the differential amplifier gain with Positive TC. After a package of the chip was sealed using a plastic Package 20 Pins, the thermal and magnetic characteristics were investigated. The obtained experimental results are in agreement with analytical predictions and have more excellent performance than\ulcorner conventional the fan motor system using discrete Hall sensor.

  • The problem of identification of continuous systems is considered when both the discrete input and output measurements are contaminated by white noises. Using a predesigned digital low-pass filter, a discrete-time estimation model is constructed easily without direct approximations of system signal derivatives from sampled data. If the pass-band of the filter is designed so that it includes the main frequencies of both the system input and output signals in some range, the noise effects are sufficiently reduced, accurate estimates can be obtained by least squares(LS) algorithm in the presence of low measurement noises. Two classes of filters(infinite impulse response(IIR) filter and finite impulse response(FIR) filter) are employed. The former requires less computational burden and memory than the latter while the latter is suitable for the bias compensated least squares(BCLS) method, which compensates the bias of the LS estimate by the estimates of the input-output noise variances and thus yields unbiased estimates in the presence of high noises.

  • A shielding analysis was performed for the end shield of CANDU 6 reactor. The one-dimensional discrete ordinate code ANISN with a 38-group neutron-gamma library, extracted from DLC-37D library, was used to estimate the dose rate for the natural uranium CANDU reactor. For comparison MCNP-4B calculation was performed for the same system using continuous, discrete and multi-group libraries. The comparison has shown that the total dose rate of the ANISN calculation agrees well with that of the MCNP calculation. However, the individual dose rate (neutron and gamma) has shown opposite trends between AMISN and MCNP estimates, which may require a consistent library generation for both codes.

  • This paper presents a novel control technique to deal with networked control systems with neutral timedelay, which is known to highly degrade the control performance of the controlled system. The stability analysis and design method for a sampled-data fuzzy controller for discrete networked control systems (NCS). The neutral time-delay and sampling activity will complicate the NCS. And it make the stability analysis much more difficult than that for a continuous-time NCS. Based on the fuzzy control approach, linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based stability conditions are derived to guarantee the neutral T-S fuzzy system stability. The simulation results and practical experiments illustrate that the proposed controller design is realistic.

  • In this paper we use iterative dynamic programming in the discrete case to solve a wide range of the nonlinear equations systems. First, by defining an error function, we transform the problem to an optimal control problem in discrete case. In using iterative dynamic programming to solve optimal control problems up to now, we have broken up the problem into a number of stages and assumed that the performance index could always be expressed explicitly in terms of the state variables at the last stage. This provided a scheme where we could proceed backwards in a systematic way, carrying out optimization at each stage. Suppose that the performance index can not be expressed in terms of the variables at the last stage only. In other words, suppose the performance index is also a function of controls and variables at the other stages. Then we have a nonseparable optimal control problem. Furthermore, we obtain the path from the initial point up to the approximate solution.

  • In this paper, we study a discrete Leslie-Gower one-predator two-prey model. By using the method of coincidence degree and some techniques, we obtain the existence of at least one positive periodic solution of the system. By linalization of the model at positive periodic solution and construction of Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the global stability of the positive periodic solution. Numerical simulations are carried out to explain the analytical findings.

  • The BGK equation, which is the kinetic model equation of Boltzmann equation, is solved using FDDO(finite difference with the discrete-ordinate method) to compute the rarefied flow of monatomic gas. Using reduced velocity distribution and discrete ordinate method, the scalar equation is transformed into a system of hyperbolic equations. High resolution ENO(Essentially Non-Oscillatory) scheme based on Harten-Yee's MFA(Modified Flux Approach) method with Strang-type explicit time integration is applied to solve the system equations. The calculated results are well compared with the experimental density field of NACA0012 airfoil, validating the developed computer code. Next. the computed results of circular cylinder flow for various Knudsen numbers are compared with the DSMC(Direct Simulation Monte Carlo) results by Vogenitz et al. The present scheme is found to be useful and efficient far the analysis of two-dimensional rarefied gas flows, especially in the transitional flow regime, when compared with the DSMC method.

  • An adaptive system is a well-known method for removing noise from noise-corrupted speech. In this paper, we perform a least mean square (LMS) based on wavelet adaptive algorithm. It establishes the faster convergence rate of as compared to time domain because of eigenvalue distribution width. And this paper provides the basic tool required for the FIR algorithm whose algorithm reduces the arithmetic complexity. We consider a new fast short-length running FIR structure in discrete wavelet adaptive algorithm. We compare FIR algorithm and short-length fast running FIR algorithm (SFIR) to the proposed fast short-length running FIR algorithm(FSFIR) for arithmetic complexities.

  • A combined DWT and DCT based watermarking technique of low frequency watermarking with weighted correction is proposed. The DWT has excellent spatial localization, frequency spread and multi-resolution characteristics, which are similar to the theoretical models of the human visual system (HVS). The DCT based watermarking techniques offer compression while DWT based watermarking techniques offer scalability. These desirable properties are used in this combined watermarking technique. In the proposed method watermark bits are embedded in the low frequency band of each DCT block of selected DWT sub-band. The weighted correction is also used to improve the imperceptibility. The extracting procedure reverses the embedding operations without the reference of the original image. Compared with the similar approach by DCT based approach and DWT based approach, the experimental results show that the proposed algorithm apparently preserves superiori mage quality and robustness under various attacks such as JPEG compression, cropping, sharping, contrast adjustments and so on.
