본 논문은 두 가지 주제를 고찰하였다. 우선, 본 논문은 죽음이라는 현상을 실제적으로 이해하기 위해 국외 인문 지리학 영역에서 축적되어 온 연구 성과를 고찰하였다. 이 결과 1950년대부터 물질 경관의 외형 변화에 주목하는 죽음의 지리가 1990년대 무렵 경관 이면의 배경과 맥락에 주목하는 죽음경관 연구로 변동했음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 본 논문은 이 연구를 기반으로 하여 근대 이후 한국의 경우 어떠한 제도적 담론이 시민사회의 죽음경관의 배제와 포섭에 개입하였는지를 분석하고자 했다. 그 결과 국가가 기존 죽음경관인 묘지를 억제하기 위해 '여의도', '불법 호화 무연고묘지' 담론 같은 배제 의식을 생산해 왔음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 화장, 납골, 산골(散骨) 시설 등의 도입을 촉진하기 위해 '통일신라', '선진국', '님비'를 핵심으로 하는 여러 담론을 생산해 왔음을 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 이러한 담론의 발현 과정에서 특정한 사실들이 진실로 수용되고 그 이면의 모순들이 은폐되는 현상들을 포착하였다.

This paper serves to analyze discourses on remarriage of the widows at the beginning of the modernization era or during the enlightenment period of Korea (1860-1910). The discourses of newspapers and Shinsoseol which are the text of this study have been analyzed with the qualitative research technique. The major conclusions that are derived from the study are as follows: First, intellectuals during the enlightenment period claimed the unfairness of the prohibition from remarriage of the widows with especially focusing on financial difficulty and life-long loneliness of the young widows. Second, permission of remarriage of the widows was explained not with the point of vies of individual life of widow, but with the point of vies of strengthening the international competitiveness. Third, the discourse claimed that the widow should hold the power of decision of remarriage. Forth, the discourse emphasized the etiquette of the wedding ceremony in remarriage of widows. Fifth, the point that the faithfulness was not easy for a usual widow to obey made the faithfulness noble ethical principle of Korea society.

The purpose of this study is to see how Korean American people use and negotiate appearance in the US. 22 Korean American women at the age of 20s to 50s were interviewed and the verbatim texts from the interviews were interpreted. Discourses on appearance style followed by consumer stories such as American vs. Korean culture, gender, class, generation as well as personal background were recorded. The results of this study revealed that Korean Americans had diverse interpretations about their appearance and styling to fit the condition of their everyday lives. Korean immigrants did not simply assimilate dominant culture over time but maintained transcultural identities depending on contexts. This study showed that researches dealing with cultural variables could have more insights about personal experiences and social meaning processes through interpretative approach.

Based on the framework of Huffered-Ackles, Fuson and Sherin(2004), data were analyzed in terms of 3 components: explaining(E), questioning(Q) and justifying(J) of students' mathematical concepts and problem solving in a math classroom. The students used varied presentations to explain and justify their mathematical concepts and ideas. They corrected their mathematical errors or misconceptions through discourses. In addition, they constructed and clarified their concepts and thinking while they were interacted. We were able to recognize there was a special feature in discourses that encouraged the students to construct and develop their mathematical concepts. As they participated in math class and received feedback on their learning, the whole class worked cooperatively in a positive way. Their discourse was improved from the level of the actual development to the level of the potential development and the pattern of interaction moved from ERE(Elicitaion-Response-Elaboration to PD(Proposition Discussion).

오늘날 세계적으로 영향력을 미치고 있는 21세기 과학 교육과정 개혁의 두 논리는 핵심 역량 및 과학적 소양이라고 할 수 있다. 그런데 양자 간의 관계는 아직 면밀히 규명되지 않고 모호하게 남아 있으며, 이로 인하여 국가 교육과정 총론 수준의 혁신적 교육과정 구성 논리와 과학 교과의 고유한 교육과정 구성 논리가 조화되는 데 어려움이 발생하고 있다. 이에, 본 연구는 21세기 과학 교육과정 개혁 논리로서의 과학적 소양 및 핵심 역량 담론을 비교하여, 향후 과학 교육과정 개정에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 문헌 연구 방법을 취하였다. 이에 과학적 소양 및 핵심 역량 담론들을 구성해온 주요 연구 문헌들과 정책 보고서들을 두루 참조하였다. II장에서는 먼저 과학적 소양 및 핵심 역량 담론들이 영향력을 발휘하게 된 역사적 경로를 돌아본다. 이 과정에서 2000년대 초반부터 각 담론의 전개양상을 모양지운 OECD의 역할에 주목할 것이다. 그리고 국내에서 해당 담론들이 어떻게 수용되어왔는가 또한 살펴본다. III장과 IV장에서는 과학적 소양과 핵심 역량 담론의 교차를 살펴본다. III장에서는 양자 모두가 학생 위기 레토릭에 힘입어 성장하였다는 점, 개인 차원, 공동체 차원, 지구적 차원을 고려하는 다층적 의미를 지닌다는 점, 교과 내용 조직 및 학습 방법의 논리가 유사하다는 점, 고부담 평가가 교육과정 개혁을 촉구한다는 점이 제시된다. IV장에서는 과학적 소양과 핵심 역량 담론 각각이 과학 교육과정 개혁에 대하여 제공할 수 있는 차별화된 강점과 함께 약점 역시 비교한다. V장에서는 후기 Wittgenstein 및 Kuhn의 관점에서, 과학적 소양과 핵심 역량을 21세기 과학 교육과정 개혁 논리로서의 가족유사성을 지니는 언어로 이해할 수 있다고 제안한다. 이를 통해 우리나라 국가 교육과정 개발에서 반복되곤 하는 '총론과 각론의 괴리' 문제를 해소할 이론적 실마리와 함께, 2022 개정 교육과정을 비롯한 향후 과학 교육과정 담론이 위기 레토릭을 넘어 희망적인 목소리를 담아야 함을 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 개화기 소설과 신문사설에 나타난 담화방식을 연구한 것이다. 개화기 소설과 신문 사설은 당시 대표적인 담론 매체였다. 대중들에게 쉽게 전달할 수 있는 담화방식은 개화기소설의 경우 대화체 토론체 연설체 담화방식으로 나타났다. 이는 신문 사설이 갖고 있는 한계인 설명 추상보다 진일보한 것으로 당대의 시대정신을 잘 구현한 것으로 볼 수 있다.

공적개발원조는 무역, 해외 직접투자, 해외 송금 등과 마찬가지로 국가 간 경계를 넘는 일종의 국제적인 금융 행위이다. 공적개발원조의 수행은 일정한 목적이 있으며, 여러 가지 목적 가운데 정치적 목적은 중요한 요인으로 고려되었다. 이에 따르면, 공적개발원조는 정치적인 것이며, 공적개발원조의 수행은 이를 제공하는 행위자가 지정학을 실천하는 하나의 형태라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 한국의 공적개발원조 정책을 둘러싸고 구성되는 지정학적 담론과 그 특징을 분석하였다. 특히 정책에 강한 영향력을 행사할 수 있는 행위자와 관련된 현실지정학에 주목하였고, 국회회의록을 분석하여 '인도주의 실천', '발전 모형의 전형', '시장 개척', '글로벌 지정학의 변화에 대한 대응'이라는 지정학적 담론을 도출하였다. 지정학적 담론은 원조 정책을 대내외적으로 합리화하는 과정에서 만들어졌고, 동시에 같은 목적으로 이용되었다. 이 과정에서, 선진국과 개발도상국은 대립적이고 전형적이며 고정적인 이미지로 재현되었다.

The purpose of this study is to reinterpret sexuality represented in fashion since the latter half of the 19th century in a contextual view, on the basis of Foucauldian idea of post-structural sexuality. As for research methodology, literary research was undertaken from the conception of sexuality to a historical review of the culture and dress. Foucault maintains the view of plural sexuality, which floats by power relationship between dominant and oppositional discourses in a specific historical context. In contextual approach sexual ideology codified in fashion since the latter 19C shows the following aspects: First, the traditional sexual ideology in the latter 19C is a capitalist value, which gives a priority to bourgeois man's profits, and the Victorian discourses of sexuality constructs the dichotomized fashion of the period. Next, the former half of the $20^{th}$ C is regarded as the period of conformity rather than opposition with various alternatives appropriated to the mainstream, so the traditional sexual ideology in fashion of this period is still preserved. Finally, in post-capitalism period of the latter 20C a variety of anti-fashion visualized plural sexuality from the enormous oppositional discourses. Although it doesn't all mean deconstruction of sexuality in fashion by the anti-fashion re-appropriated without oppositional meanings, pluralization of sexuality implies dynamics of sexual discourses in the next historical period. As a result, fashion since the latter 19C has been changed as a means for expressing age and sexual desire out of gender and class. And mainstream fashion in even postmodern period keeps the modern value on the center of the hegemonic heterosexual masculinity though the increase of Androgynous Femininity in women's fashion may connote the meaning of femininity. The plural sexuality represented in fashion has a contextual flexibility, thus sexuality floats with a specific socio-cultural context and fashion represents a masquerade as an identity vehicle.

Mark Twain's works are very good texts for students' understanding of American literature and culture deeply and comprehensively, However, professors teaching Mark Twain could be confronted with several problems: how to teach vernacular language in his works; how to deal with the massive volume; how to teach various issues systematically. This article aims to present a way to solve these problems, based on my experiences of teaching Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court in novel classes. One of good methods of discussing the various issues systematically in his works is focusing on his contemporary dominant discourses and his critiques on them. In teaching Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the black discourse is the comtemporary dominant dicourse to concentrate on. I tried to discuss various issues in my classes, mainly relating them to exploring how Twain was contained in his contemporary black discourse and how he resisted it at the same time. The representation of the blacks in the work is a good example to show this. To what extent Huck can have human relationship with Jim is an important question to contest his interaction with his contemporary discourse. In my paper I examine various issues and problems I was faced with in the classes. In teaching A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, the crucial discourses are industrialism and modernity. Here, what must be paid attention to is that although industrialism is a part of modernity, it is convenient to deal it separately from the issue of modernity. Twain was dominated by those discourses, but he criticized them on the other hand. Various issues can be discussed, related with the question how much he was contained in the discourse of modernity and how much he criticized it. Students' understanding of this work and his contemporary dominant discourses can be enhanced by discussing his ambivalence toward modernization, democracy. and the Medieval feudalism.

The purpose of this study Is to reinterpret sexuality represented in modern fashion with the conception of plural sexuality from post-structuralism in socio-semiotic approach. It consists of two parts.: The first part provides the theoretical background and the methodological framework of this study. The second part ultimately accomplishes this study by empirical research, which is to infer plural sexuality articulated with fashion images in men's and women's popular fashion magazines in Korea since 2000 and sexual ideology signified in modern fashion. In this part the theoretical background was focused on the conception of sexuality on the basis of Foucault's idea, and then the framework for this study was made up from socio-semiotic perspective. The conception of sexuality in Foucauldian post-structural idea maintains the view of plural sexuality, which floats by power relationship between dominant and oppositional discourses in a specific historical context. Socio-semiotics suggests a contextual methodology to analyze the phenomena of material culture by articulating the range of material objects with that of ideology. The socio-semiotic model applied to sexuality represented in fashion is the framework of classifying into the several versions of fashion images from fashion as a material object and then inferring sexual ideology codified in them. In addition, three stages of producer/object/user in socio-semiotics were revised into 'dominant sexuality' with mainstream fashion out of dominant discourses,'oppositional sexuality' to create anti-fashion from oppositional discourses of subculture, and 'alternative sexuality' to be appropriated to dominant discourses by the mix of mainstream fashion and anti-fashion.
