정보통신기술과 주거에 대한 중요 담론 분석연구 (Discourse Analysis on ICT and Home - From Electronic Cottage to Sharable Home -)

  • This paper draws the home into the stream of information and communications technology (ICT) development. Considering that homes and our home life are constantly affected by persistent change influenced by ICT, it is remarkable that ICT has been relatively neglected as an object of research in the field of housing studies. This study provides an overview of conceptual movements in ICT/home relationships and their design and social impact through a critical discourse analysis. The conceptual movements must be considered by professionals in the field of housing and built environment to stay attuned to changes in the 21st Century. Diverse debates took place in the discourse about ICT in relation to home. The stream of thought was started by futurists who saw the electronic cottage as a solution to the social problems caused by the separation of work and home life in industrial cities. ICT has now entered a new phase, with WiFi P2P networks and location-based social media that encourage sharable homes. Based on the analysis of the discourse on ICT and home, we drew from three issues related to the paradigm shifts in homes in the context of ICT development to provide future directions for housing studies: from space programming to time scheduling, from individual ownership to shared access, and from live+work dwelling to live+work+community.

조선왕릉의 역사지리적 경관특징과 풍수담론 (Historical Geography and Pungsu(Fengshui) Discourse of Royal Tombs in the Joseon Dynasty)

  • 조선왕릉의 분포 입지 배치에 나타나는 역사지리적 경관 특징과, 조영을 둘러싸고 전개된 권력집단 간의 공간정치학과 풍수담론, 그 속을 관류하고 있는 풍수적 경관 조성 및 관리 양상 등에 대해 검토했다. 조선왕릉의 천릉(遷陵) 과정은 왕조집단의 세력 관계가 풍수를 정략적인 수단과 외피로 하여 나타난 정치적 결과물이었다. 조선 왕조의 정치권력은 왕릉을 정치적 권위를 높이는 상징적 수단으로 활용하였고, 풍수는 정치권력의 의도를 논리적으로 뒷받침하거나 정당화하는 이데올로기적 공간담론으로 기능하였다. 한국풍수사에서 왕릉풍수는 유교이념과 결합된 정치사회적 속성을 지닌 조선시대적인 풍수담론으로 규정할 수 있다.

과학관 수업 분석을 통해 알아본 예비 과학 교사의 비형식 교육에 대한 인식 (Discourse Analysis of Pre-service Science Teachers and Students in Science Museums and Its Implication for Teacher Education)

  • This study examined pre-service science teachers' perceptions of informal learning by adopting a discourse analysis method suggested by Mortimer and Scott(2003). The guiding research questions were: (1) What are some general patterns of the discourse occurring in science museums between a teacher and a student? (2) In what ways do the pre-service teachers perceive informal learning and teacher's role in informal settings? The 7 pre-service science teachers participated in this study. Each of them shepherd an elementary student around the museum and implemented their own instruction using a pre-planed lesson plan. Results indicated that even though the teachers had learned some characteristics of informal teaming in their college courses, they tended to implement their traditional view of science teaming into the instruction and the view affected them to set up their teaching purposes and contents, and to select communicative approach, patterns of discourse and ways of intervention.

문헌정보학에 있어서 담론분석의 응용 (Discourse Analysis in Library and Information Science Research)

  • 문헌정보학의 발전과정을 살펴보면 문헌정보학 연구가 사회과학의 전반적 변화에 적절하게 대응하지 못하였음을 알 수 있다. 일례로 다른 사회과학분야의 다양한 방법론적 실험에 대하여, 우리 분야에서는 여전히 실증주의적 연구경향이 지배적 영향력을 행사하고 있음을 지적할 수 있다. 이 글은 문헌정보학 연구가 우리사회에서 문헌정보학적 설명을 필요로 하는 다양한 여러 가지 키워들을 분석하고 해석하는 데 일익을 담당하여야 한다는 점을 밝힌다. 그 한 예로 최근에 우리 분야에서도 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 담론분석의 응용가능성과 유용성을 논증한다. 이를 위하여 우리 분야에 있어서 연구의 성격을 결정지은 역사적 배경을 고찰하고, 담론분석의 간략한 전개양상과 담론분석의 일반적인 원칙들을 살펴본 후, 문헌정보학에 있어서 이러한 관점의 적용가능성을 가늠한다

질 들뢰즈의 공간담론에 기초한 렘 콜하스 실내공간의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of the Interior space of Rem Koolhaas's Architecture based on the Spatial Discourse of Gilles Deleuze)

  • This research aims to analyze the characteristics of the architectural space of Rem Koolhaas based on the spatial discourse of Gilles Deleuze, a philosopher of post-structuralism which comprehends pluralism accepting even contingency and uncertainty beyond deterministic attitudes of structuralism that has led the western discourses since the 19th century. First of all, this research will reflect on Deleuze's spatial concept through literatures and extract the characteristics related to architectural spaces. Then, on the basis of these characteristics, it will analyze the characteristics which were applied to the interior space of the recent architectural works of Rem Koolhaas to find out how Deleuze's spatial dicourse was embodied. Among Deleuze's speculations, the characteristics which falls under the spatial discourse were classified into three categories; degree between the striated space and the smooth one, the space of events and singularity, and the space of the multiple sense. These analysis words are used to look into the correlations among the specific practicing methods embodied in the architecture of Kookhaas. In conclusion, in the architectural space of Rem Koolhaas, it was found that the characteristics of Gilles Deleuze's spatial discourse of post-structuralism were embodied by the methods such as (1) Space of continuous transition, (2) Space of the $multiplicit{\acute{e}}$ accepting contingent events, (3) Space of the multiple sense, and (4) Space of movement.

Designing Video-based Teacher Professional Development: Teachers' Meaning Making with a Video Annotation Tool

  • In this research, we designed a teacher professional development (PD) program where a small group of mathematics teachers could share, reflect on, and discuss their pedagogical knowledge and practices of ICT-integrated lessons, using a video annotation tool called DIVER. The main purposes of this paper are both micro and macro: to examine how the teachers were engaged in the meaning-making process in a video-based PD (micro); and to derive implications about how to design effective video-based teacher PD programs toward a teacher community of practices (macro). To examine teachers' meaning-making in the PD sessions, discourse data from a series of 10 meetings was segmented into idea units and coded to identify discourse patterns, focusing on (a) participation levels, (b) conversation topics, and (c) conversation depth. Regarding the affordance of DIVER, discourse patterns of two meetings, before and after individual annotation with DIVER were compared through qualitative vignette analysis. Overall, we found that the teacher discourse shifted the focus from surface features to deeper pedagogical issues as the PD sessions progressed. In particular, the annotation function in DIVER afforded the teachers to exercise descriptive analyses of video clips in a flexible manner, thereby helping them cognitively prepared to take interpretative and evaluative stances in face-to-face discussions with colleagues. In conclusion, deriving from our research experiences, we discuss the possibilities and challenges of designing video-based teacher PD in a school context.

A Study on Effectiveness of Mathematics Teachers' Collaborative Learning: Focused on an Analysis of Discourses

  • Collaborative learning has been highlighted as an effective method of teachers' professional development in various studies. To disclose teachers' discourse threads in the process of collaborative learning for developing their knowledge, this paper adopted two methods including "content analysis" and "time-sequential analysis" of learning analytics. Such analyses were implemented for mining teachers' updated knowledge and the discourse threads in the discussion during collaborative learning. The materials for analysis involved two aspects: one was from the video-taped lesson observation reports written by teachers before and after discussing, and the other was from their discourses during the discussion process. The results proved that teachers' knowledge for teaching the centroid of a triangle was updated in the collaborative learning period, and also revealed the discourse threads of teachers' collaboration contained "requesting information or opinions", "building on ideas", and "providing evidence or reasoning", with the emphasis on "challenging ideas or re-focusing talk"

담화 중심 수학 수업의 효과 분석 (Analysis of the Effects of Discourse-Based Math Instructions)

  • 본 연구는 수학교실에서 학생들에게 능동적으로 학습에 참여할 기회를 제공하고 의사소통에 있어서 자신의 아이디어를 표현하는 가장 기본적인 전달 방법인 말하기 경험을 확대하는 담화 중심 수학 수업을 초등학교 5학년 학생들에게 적용해 봄으로써 담화 중심 수학 수업이 학생들의 수학적 태도와 수학 학업성취도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 그 결과로 담화 중심 수학 수업은 수학 학업성취도의 향상에는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 수학적 태도 중 융통성, 의지력, 호기심, 반성, 가치에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 수학적 태도에 매우 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한 담화 중심 수업에 대한 설문 조사 및 서술형 평가 등을 통해 담화 중심 수학 수업이 학생들에게 문제 해결에 있어 다양한 방법을 모색해보는 기회를 제공하였으며 흥미와 호기심을 갖고 수업에 참여하도록 할뿐만 아니라 문제를 단순하게 푸는 차원을 넘어서서 원리를 발견하는 경험을 하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이렇게 볼 때 담화 중심 수학 수업은 수학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 주며 의사소통 능력 신장에도 도움을 줄 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있다.

공유 문서를 활용한 과학 수업에서 나타난 학생 담화의 특징 -인식 네트워크 분석(ENA)의 활용- (Exploring Collaborative Learning Dynamics in Science Classes Using Google Docs: An Epistemic Network Analysis of Student Discourse)

  • 본 연구는 과학 수업에서 공유 문서의 활용이 학생의 담화 패턴과 학습에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 학생들의 담화를 인식 네트워크 분석(Epistemic Network Analysis) 방법으로 분석하였다. 49명의 중학교 2학년 학생을 대상으로 과학 교사인 연구자 본인이 Google Docs를 기반으로 제작된 활동지를 활용한 공유 문서와 동일 내용의 종이 활동지를 활용한 일반 수업을 실시하고, 각 수업에서 수집된 담화를 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 공유 문서 활용 수업에서는 일반 수업에 비해 과제 수행과 관련된 발언의 비율이 더 높았으며, 특히 사진 촬영과 업로드에 대한 담화가 두드러졌다. 그러나 이러한 담화가 교사가 의도한 동료 학습으로 이어지지는 않았다. 성취 수준에 따른 분석 결과에서는 공유 문서 활용 수업에서 하위 수준 학생의 발언 비율이 상대적으로 더 높았으며, 상위 학생과 하위 학생 간의 발언 유형 및 연결 구조에서 차이가 나타났다. 또한 상위 수준 학생이 의견과 설명 제시를 주도하면 하위 학생이 이를 받아 적는 역할 분담이 관찰되었으며, 공유 문서 활용 수업에서 그러한 경향이 더 뚜렷하였다. 마지막으로 인식 네트워크 분석으로 정전기의 원인에 대한 학생의 인식 변화를 시각화하였다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 공유 문서를 활용하여 협력 학습을 촉진하기 위해 다양한 의견과 산출물의 공유가 가능한 개방적 문제를 포함하는 전략과 인식 네트워크 분석을 활용한 개념 학습 효과 확인 가능성을 제언하였다.

한국 간호지식체의 생산과정과 담론분석적 전망 (A Producing Process for Korean Nursing Knowledge and Discourse on Analytic Prospects)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the producing process for Korean nursing knowledge as applied by Foucault's discourse analytic method. By Foucault's discourse analytic method, the problem is not what is knowledge but what sort of knowledge is made up through specific level of practice. A Korean body of nursing knowledge has been discussed since 1980. At the end of 19th century, missionaries transplanted western nursing knowledge and method to Korea. Western nursing knowledge and methods have been developed continuously with both merits and demerits to Korean society. Recently our world has be come a global community via advances in transportation and correspondence. Although each person is different in skin color and shape. there is a clear line between Oriental people and Western people. Nursing science is only one in our world. but western humanistic nursing practice based on western worldview and human life has limits. It is natural that the Koreans as Oriental people have a systemic nursing science to reveal the specific experiential and concrete body of nursing knowledge rooted in the Korean worldview and human life. Nursing science is to understand human beings, to promote health. to prevent illness. to restore health. to alleviate suffering and to search for principles needed throughout all of human life. In Korea, now is the quickening period to shape a Korean body of nursing knowledge because of a shortage of nursing language in matters of intellectual recognition, and unfamiliar practical nursing field where there is no familiarity in the system of nursing research methodology. In reviewing articles from the Journal of the Nurses' Academic Society on Korean body of nursing knowledge, it was found that there are two common features. The first, human body and mind are inseperable that is one unit in this world and health is keeping a harmonious relationship between human body and mind. The second, Korean nursing practice is based on human nature and family ties. Accordingly discourse analysis has a good future prospect to produce a Korean body of nursing knowledge for analytic research on body and mind monism and family centered care based on human nature and family ties.
