PDP cell 구조에 따른 방전전류 파형 계측 (A Measurement of Discharge Current of Plasma Display Panel as a cell structure)

  • The surface discharge type ac plasma display panel(ac PDP) is a flat display devices using gas discharge. In ac PDP, parallel electrodes covered with dielectric layer are on a substrates. The discharge current characteristics are affected by cell structure. In this study, the relationship between the principal design factor and discharge characteristics is discussed, based on experiment, and the current waveform is measured by voltage detector and storage O.S.C. as a parameter of design factor, e.g., electrode gap and width.

1 안테나 법에 의한 미소 간극의 방전 전류파형 추정 (Estimation of Discharge Current Waveshapes in Short Gap Discharge by One Antennal Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 미소 간극에서 방전이 일어날 때 발생하는 방사 전자파를 측정하여 이로부터 방전전류의 파형을 추정하는 방법에 관하여 검토하고 있다. 한 개의 시간영역 전자계 측정용 안테나를 사용하여 주어진 위취에서 관측한 측정 전계 또는 측정 자계로부터 방전전류를 추정하는 1 안테나 법(단일 전자계 법)의 이론을 확립하고, Wilson & Ma 가 측정한 전계를 이용하여 1 안테나 법에 의한 방정전류의 파형을 추정(복원)하고 있다. 추정된 방전전류의 파형은 방전전류의 측정 결과와도 비교하여 1 안테나 법에 의한 추정법 이론이 타당함을 확인하고 있다.

  • In this study, a new concept of a flow sensor is developed using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). Current of DBD generated between two electrodes is changed with varying flow rates. Therefore, it is possible to measure the flow rate by correlating generated DBD current with flow rates. The effects of flow rate, frequency, channel height, diameter of electrodes and distance between electrodes on the performance of the flow sensor using DBD are experimentally investigated.

  • To establish measuring method for minimum ignition energy of explosive powders caused by electrostatic discharge, A measuring method(Hartman) using a very small quantity of pine tree testing powder was proposed, and the influence of discharge current limiting resistance connected in series into a capacitive discharge circuit on ignition energies of explosive powders was investigated. As a result the minimum ignition energy was 42.25mJ when discharge current limiting resistance 300 $k\Omega$.

  • We measured the optogalvanic signal and discharge voltage-current(V-I) curve under the two different discharge conditions with different buffer gases, Ar, and Ne. When the Gd was used as a cathode material at low discharge current less than 10mA, a significant change was observed in the current-voltage curve. Time resolved optogalvanic signal measurement were measured by the diode laser of which wavelengths correspond to metastable transition line of these gases (Ar, Ne). From these measurements, we found that the characteristics of the V-I curve strongly depend on the Penning ionization process.

  • This paper will arrange and classify the earthing system by the latest developed technique tendency, and suggest how to solve the problem of a current earthing system. The 3rd generation earthing system is environment-friendly and designed to use discharge electrodes, catalysts and heat rays. A discharge current has increased by 31 [A] in the 3rd generation of earthing system compared to the 2nd one and it is 25 times faster. This system is not buried under but built on the ground. It solves the problems that the current system has; expenses, time, area and pollutions followed by the construction.

  • This paper deals with the relationships between discharge current wave form and the structure of AC PDP cells. The Paschen minimum can be found in the range of $200{\sim}300\;torr$ under the condition of electrode width of $300{\mu}m$ and $100{\mu}m$ electrode gap. Furthermore, the charge current does not vary with the gas pressure, whereas the time delay in the discharge inception voltage decreased both peak and r.m.s discharge current increase with gas pressure and electrode width.

  • The tidal current power is the power plant by installing the turbine or rotor where the tidal speed is fast. This system converting the horizontal movement to rotating energy. Tidal power turbine is needed for the dam to utilize the pressure difference. However, tidal current power using the only flow. The tidal current power was evaluated as the impact on the marine environment surrounding was less and the development of eco-friendly way. In this article, we calculated the effect of tidal current turbine on the tidal power generating by mean of CFD. With these calculated results, we checked the possibility of tidal current power using tidal power plant the discharge gate.

Autonomie에 적용 가능한 NiMH 배터리 모델 실험 및 구현 (Experiment and Implementation of NiMH Battery Model for Autonomie Environment)

  • This paper proposes a battery model applicable to Autonomie environment. Also, a various of experiment is implemented for validation. The proposed battery model modifies Randles equivalent circuit and battery parameters are extracted from pulsed current tests. The parameters are two-dimensional function of current and SOC(State of Charge). The battery model is developed in the Matlab/Simulink and is implemented for NiMH Panasonic HHR650D and compared with pulsed current discharge curves. The simulation results validate the accuracy of the proposed model and the model is also tested by adding it on Autonomie for HEV application. Constant current charge/discharge, pulsed current test that can be used to extract battery parameter are performed and test results are used to build up the proposed battery model for Autonomie.
