Graphite intercalation compounds (GIC) were prepared by direct reaction of $SO_3$ gas with flake graphite. The intercalated $SO_3$ molecules were ejected by rapid heating to $950^{\circ}C$ under an oxidizing atmosphere for about 1 minute, resulting in surprisingly high expansion in the direction of c-axis. The characteristics of the micro-structure and pore size distribution were examined with a SEM and mercury intrusion porosimetry. The XRD analysis and spectroscopic analysis were used for the identification of the graphite and surface chemistry state. The pore size distribution of the exfoliated graphite (EG) was a range of $1{\sim}170{\mu}m$. The higher expanding temperature the higher expanded volume, so oil sorption capacities were 58.8 g of bunker-C oil and 34.7 g of diesel oil per 1 g of the the EG. The sorption equilibrium was achieved very rapidly within several minutes. As the treatment temperature increases, bulk density decreases.

This research is to establish a theme-type organic edu-farm model and provide ways to practically apply it so as to vitalize urban-rural exchange through the emerging concept of green tourism. This research also traces the practical development of organic edu-farm programs. Organic edu-farm(OEF) should be some of the ideas to develop organic agriculture resources according to the local features, and learn by direct and actual experience a life of organic farm. A few policy suggestions to put OEF model in practical use are proposed. What the state needs to do through direct involvement are to put efforts at demand expansion on organic farm products, to clean and beautify the green rural environmental settings, to build more urban-rural exchange facilities. What is more important, however, is financial support, to create the network and to develop program contents for each OEF operation unit. The OEF model proposed in this research will be applied as a relevant reference in planning and realizing sustainable green tourism at the village level.

In this paper, a DDFS(Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis)chip has been designed focusing on the reduction of ROM size and implemented using FPGA. When calculating the sine value for the input phase value, we used the Taylor series expansion approximation method to reduce the number of addresses of ROM. We also used the piecewise straight line approximation method, ie, the stored value int the ROM is the difference of the sine value and the straight line approximation. Using this method, we could reduce four bits for each ROM data.

The problem of generalized thermoelasticity of two-temperature for finite piezoelectric rod will be modified by applying three different types of heating applications namely, thermal shock, ramp-type heating and harmonically vary heating. The solutions will be derived with direct approach by the application of Laplace transform and the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional order derivative. The inverse Laplace transforms are numerically evaluated with the help of a method formulated on Fourier series expansion. The results obtained for the conductive temperature, the dynamical temperature, the displacement, the stress and the strain distributions have represented graphically using MATLAB.

The degradation due to channel distortion in a quadrature modulation system from the ideal constant values over the bandwidth of a direct sequence spread spectrum signal are considered. Through using series expansion for the channel gain and phase response, the degradation in the correlator output at the receiver is found as a function of the parameters involved , including phase error, delay error, linear gin variation, quadratic gain variation, and quadratic phase variation.

Quasars at cosmological distances can be gravitationally lensed by galaxies into two or more images. The probability of this lensing and the angular separation between the images depend on the geometry and the expansion history of the universe as well as the lensing galaxies. The time delay between lensed images is also a direct indicator of the size of the universe. I review these cosmological applications of multiple-image gravitationally lensed quasars to determine or constrain the cosmological parameters.

In comparison to the conventional brazing, laser welding of ceramics has advantages of direct bonding without filler material, which causes the thermal stress due to the differences of thermal expansion coefficients. In pulse-mode, laser welding of dispersion ceramic having high thermal resistance is possible at relatively low preheating temperature of $1300^{\circ}C$ In CW-mode, alumina can be welded at high preheating temperature $1500^{\circ}C$ under the condition of low feed rate of 500 mm/min, respectively. Further studies on developing mechanism of pores in the bead during laser welding of ceramics is required.

The government announced to launch tours to the Mt.Baekdu that use a direct air route through the 2007 South-North Korean leader joint declaration. The Mt.Baekdu tourism is large symbolism to the Korean people. Government and Hyundai Asan speak that propel Mt.Baekdu tourism using existent Samjiyeon airport in early time. But, air traffic and airport operation must consider safety preferentially. Present condition investigation and facility improvement of the Samjlyeon airport should be enforced first. And need facility expansion by increased demand hereafter. Compose South-North Air traffic network system to this opportunity and basis research and phase investment may have to be propelled.

Generally there are three methods to derive an approximation formula: 1) approching standard normal distribution by appropriate changing variable 2) using standardization variable for expansion 3) deriving approximation formula by direct method. This paper present correction terms having the form of $C_{1/v^{n/2}}/{\;}+{\;}C_2{\;}(n=1,2)$ with respect to $x^2_{\alpha}(v)$ distribution (${\nu}{\;}{\leq}{\;}30$), which minimize the error by EDA method and least square method.

Supercharging system was adopted to investigate the influence of boost pressure on operating range and exhaust emissions by using a supercharger at low temperature diesel combustion (LTC) condition in a 5-cylinder 2.7 L direct injection diesel engine. The experimental parameters such as injection quantity, injection timing, injection pressure and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) rate were varied to find maximum operating range in LTC condition. As a result of adopting increased boost pressure in LTC, wider operating range was achieved compared with naturally aspirated condition due to increased mixing intensity. Increased boost pressure resulted in lower hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions due to increased swirl rate and mixing intensity, which induced complete combustion. Moreover, increased boost pressure in LTC resulted in much lower soot emissions compared with high speed direct injection (HSDI) condition.
