최근 추천 시스템은 패션, 동영상, 음악 등을 중심으로 맞춤형 추천 서비스가 제공되어 사용자들의 관심을 모으고 있다. 그러나 이러한 서비스들은 실시간으로 발생하는 상황 정보를 사용하지 않아 여러 상황에 따른 적합한 서비스를 사용자에게 제공하기가 어렵다. 또한 적용되는 상황 정보가 차원을 확장시킬 경우, 데이터 희소성(Data Sparsity)을 증가시켜 사용자들에게 적합한 음악들을 추천할 수 없는 문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해소시키기 위해 연관규칙(Association Rules)을 적용하여 사용자의 현재 위치 정보와 시간 정보에 대한 관계성 및 규칙들을 이용하여 실시간 상황에서 적합한 음악을 추천하는 시스템을 제안하였다. 수집된 상황 정보를 바탕으로 5-fold Cross Validation을 진행하여 위치와 시간 정보에 따른 추천 시스템의 정확도를 측정하였다. 그 결과 상황 정보가 누적됨에 따라 추천 시스템의 정확도가 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

A 4+12+16 amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) modulation outperforms other 32-APSK modulations in a nonlinear additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel because of its intrinsic robustness against AM/AM and AM/PM distortions caused by the nonlinear characteristics of a high-power amplifier. Thus, this modulation scheme has been adopted in the digital video broadcasting-satellite2 European standard. And it has been considered for high rate transmission of telemetry data on deep space communications in consultative committee for space data systems which provides a forum for discussion of common problems in the development and operation of space data systems. In this paper, we present an improved bits-to-symbol mapping scheme with a better bit error rate for a 4+12+16 APSK signal in a nonlinear AWGN channel and propose a simple signal detection algorithm for the 4+12+16 APSK from the presented bit mapping.

Purpose: The study examines the effect of TechTubers' unboxing videos on consumer buying behavior by highlighting the role of product touch, visual and verbal sensory cues. The study integrates the vicarious touch and the dual coding theory to analyze the Smartphone purchase behavior of Generation Z. Research design, data and methodology: The study collected data from 349 respondents who were viewers of YouTube unboxing videos. A structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale was employed as a survey instrument. Convenience sampling technique was utilized to select the samples. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: Results reveal that vicarious touch and verbal description have a statistically significant positive effect on Generation Z's purchase intention of Smartphone. Moreover, purchase intention positively affects Generation Z's actual purchase behavior of Smartphone. However, the visual images did not significantly affect purchase intention. Conclusions: The study offers significant theoretical and practical implications. The study adds new knowledge to the extant literary field by highlighting the impact of digital product presentation in the form of Unboxing videos on purchase intention for technology products. Moreover, the study suggests content sponsorship and advertising opportunities for marketers in collaboration with the TechTubers on YouTube unboxing video platform.

The era of convergence is being applied to all areas of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The convergence of broadcasting service and communication service almost occurs on smart devices including smartphone. The smart hybrid Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) is a typical example of the convergence of broadcasting and wireless communication service. The hybrid mobile broadcasting service can support seamless video, 3D, high quality, and additional data services based on network connection between the broadcasting and wireless network. The gateway and terminal (including apps on the smartphone) take the role of the main components on the hybrid service. This paper presents the service concept, main components structure, the implementation of gateway and terminals, and field test to the urban areas for the mobile hybrid system.

Digital image and video libraries require new algorithms for the automated extraction and indexing of salient image features. Eigen values of an image provide one important cue for the discrimination of image content. In this paper we propose a new approach for automated content extraction that allows efficient database searching using eigen values. The algorithm automatically extracts eigen values from the image matrix represented by the covariance matrix for the image. We demonstrate that the eigen values representing shape information and the skewness of its distribution representing complexity provide good performance in image query response time while providing effective discriminability. We present the eigen value extraction and indexing techniques. We test the proposed algorithm of searching by eigen value and its skewness on a database of 100 images.

Recently in telecommunication, BISDN ( Broadband Integrated Service Digital Network ) has received considerable attention for its capability of providing a common interface for future communication needs including voice, data and video. Since all information in BISDN are statistically multiplexed and are transported in high speed by means of discrete units of 53-octet ATM ( asynchronous Transfer Mode ) cells, appropriate traffic control needs. For traffic shaping of voice, the output cell discarding scheme has been proposed. We analyze the scheme with a MMPP/$D_1$, $D_2$/1/B queueing system to obtain performance measures such as loss probability and waiting time distribution.

이 논문에서는 비디오게임에서의 세이브와 로드(Save and Load)의 반복이 스토리의 생성에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고, 게임 세이브로 인한 게임 플레이 변화의 양상을 연구하였다. 게임 플레이어의 활동은 적극적으로 스토리를 창조해나가는 과정이며, 비디오게임의 플레이어는 세이브와 로드를 통해 스토리를 생성해나가게 된다. 이 과정에서 게임 시간의 조작이 일어나며, 기존 서사물과는 다른 시간 진행 양상을 보이게 된다.

The idea of displaying hologram electronically has been existed since mid $1960^{th}$. But it is still in the beginning stage due to the lacks of proper means of displaying and recording, which will bear the large amount of data contained in the hologram though holographic video and digital holography have demonstrated the possibility of displaying and photographing hologram electronically. It is expected that holography based 3 dimensional imaging system will be introduced much later than that on multiview 3 dimensional imaging methods which are being developed to generate more realistic and natural image than high definition plane images.

We introduce an advanced terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (AT-DMB) system that overcomes the limitation of data transmission rates of T-DMB by doubling it with the same frequency bandwidth. In this letter, we propose an efficient algorithm which generates a scalable transport stream in AT-DMB by multiplexing certain types of elementary streams encoded using scalable video coding and an MPEG-surround audio coder for high-quality multimedia services.

본 논문에서는 효과적인 홀로그래픽 비디오 서비스를 다양한 재생환경에서 제공하기 위한 스케일러블 코딩 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 홀로그램과 광원의 차영상을 사용하여 압축을 하는 방식으로 구성된다. 즉, 기존의 스케일러블 코딩방식인 홀로그램 해상도 스케일러블 코딩과 광원의 화질 스케일러블 코딩 방식을 조합하여 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. $1,024{\times}1,024$ 크기의 홀로그램의 차영상에 대해서는 손실압축, 광원의 차영상은 무손실 압축을 이용하여 스케일러블 코딩을 수행함으로써 적응적인 서비스가 가능하도록 한다.
