  • The Healthcare supply chain management has recently attracted attention as a critical tool to improve service quality and reduce healthcare operational cost. Improving large hospital supply chain performance has become increasingly important as healthcare organizations strive to improve the service quality, while reducing the ever-increasing healthcare cost. This paper explores the strategic areas where the traditional supply chain management may enhance the overall performance of the large hospitals. Based on the literature review and relevant case analysis, this paper argues that the visibility, information sharing and standardization are the critical factors for deploying the supply chain principles, and also proposes the supply chain framework for efficient planning and execution, the use of RFID-enabled system for the end-to-end traceability of medical products, and cross-docking system for minimizing the inventory level in the hospital supply chain. Implications of the study findings are discussed.

  • As global competition is more intensive, SCM is becoming more and more important in order to achieve competitiveness. It is necessary for firms to understand weak points among the integrated supply chain through supply chain assessment in order to implement SCM successfully and cost-effectively. In this paper, we review previous studies of SCM performance measurements and propose a supply chain assessment framework for shipbuilding industry, which is one of the major ETO industry. Based on 3 supply chain domains which are demand, supply, and product management, we decompose the whole supply chain process into 3 level lower processes and propose capability measurement matric for shipbuilding firms. A case study has been conducted to validate the proposed framework and results are presented at the end.

  • The supply chain without digitization is just a series of discrete, siloed steps taken through marketing, product development, manufacturing, and logistics, and finally into the hands of the customer. Digitization brings down those walls, and the chain becomes a completely integrated network fully transparent to all the parties involved. The ulitimate goals of digitizatized supply chain management are velocity and visibility. This network will depend on a number of key technologies including integrated planning and execution systems, supply chain analytics, autonomous logistics, smart warehousing and factory, etc, enabling companies to react to disruptions in the supply chain, and even anticipate them, by fully modeling the network, creating "what-if" scenarios, and adjusting the supply chain in real time as conditions change. This paper presents a number of studies on digitalization of supply chains and provides a discussion on issues raised in the process of technology adoption. Implications of the study findings are also provided.

  • Supply chain management for complex project focuses on planning acquisitions, identifying and choosing the right suppliers and subcontractors, planning and negotiating appropriate contracts, and administering and closing contracts. Working with suppliers and subcontractors requires continuous integration activities during project execution. This article examines the concept and issues concerning supply chain management in plant engineering Project, of which has not been taken seriously by industry. We propose the technological infra, social infra and information system connecting all participants in supply chain, as the major fields of research requiring industry attentions, and give a brief summary of research in each proposed areas.

  • Facing the counterfeiting acts towards various products, many manufacturers implement ePedigree system to secure their supply chain. Using ePedigree, a distribution history including a valid product identifier from the manufacturer until the final retailer is recorded. And this ePedigree is signed by each involved supply chain party using digital signature. With this digital signature, any unauthorized alteration to the ePedigree document would generate a failed verification process. If there is a counterfeit product using a fake ePedigree document, it wouldn't be able to pass the verification process either. Hence, there wouldn't be any counterfeit product that could enter the legal supply chain and bought by the consumer. We are proposing to use ECDSA instead of RSA since it has faster performance and shorter key size. At a certain same security level, ECDSA only needs 163 bits, while RSA needs 1024 bits.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify and design a model for the integration between marketing and supply chain management (SCM) of technopreneurship-based souvenirs MSMEs to fulfil customer value creation. Research design, data and methodology: This research method uses the system development life cycle method. This study draws its insights and conclusions from a literature review in several fields followed by an interactive research approach that helps identify, validate, and implement a theoretical framework so that the modelling results can be adopted in applicative manner for souvenir MSMEs. Result: Implementing the "G-ASPOO-L" supply chain management integration model based on technopreneruship to fulfil value creation in the 5.0 society era created three perspectives: an inter-functional perspective, a process perspective, and an integrated business concept perspective. The supply chain management involves enterprise integration, strategic customer integration, strategic supplier integration, and marketing strategy integration. Conclusion: The proposed model framework leads to managerial problems of supply chain management strategy, which urgently requires an interaction approach that challenges the traditional view of demand creation and implementation of supply chain management to fulfil value creation. This research leverages existing knowledge and advances our understanding of the strategic integration issues companies face in digital-based competition.

  • We consider supply chain which consist of one manufacturer, one distributor and N retailers for a single product. This paper determines inventory replenishment period of supply chain using houristic method and propose order policy through re-coordination of inventory replenishment. Also, We develops inventory management model to calculate total cost of supply chain under assumptions of constant demand. The computational results show that the proposed inventory replenishment period and inventory management model is efficient.

  • Agriculture has always been the foundation of Vietnam's economy, accounting for a significant portion of GDP. However, like many traditional industries, Vietnamese agriculture faces many challenges, from inefficient supply chains to unpredictable weather developments. In recent years, Vietnam's agricultural sector has been looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency by applying modern technology. Among these technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a potential solution to address the challenges farmers and other stakeholders face in the agricultural supply chain. AI can analyze large amounts of data, optimize resource allocation, and predict market trends, which can significantly improve decision-making in agriculture. However, despite the promising prospects of AI in agriculture, there are still challenges to the widespread application of AI in Vietnam. These include the need for more awareness, technical expertise, and Infrastructure to support AI implementation. In this study, we analyze the current state of AI applications in Vietnam's agricultural supply chain, identify key challenges, and propose strategies to facilitate the integration of AI technology in agriculture supply chains in Vietnam in the digital age.
