  • In contemporary architectural practice, flat sections and plan drawings are no longer a primary means of representation and communication with participants. A typical building design has an ornamental exterior wall system and a roof system that should have water-proof quality and drainage function. By comparison, distinction between exterior wall and roof are unclear in freeform buildings, and they are integrated into a concept of a building envelope. This study is to propose 3D coordinate control technology for freeform structure by CNC curved tube method in order to develop a BIM-based envelope design and construction method for freeform building. Because a much wider freeform building construction can be achieved with correct 3D data and easy-to-implement in construction field, the proposed 3D coordinate control technology is highly recommended for practical use instead of the conventional CAD system.

  • The concept of time-space to be seen in the modem society has complex features at the points of scientific, philosophical, artistic, religious point of view. It has been brought up at a points of neo centric religious, philosophical view and then after, phenomenal approach and scientific approach were rendered through Newton and Einstein and so many scholar approaches affected the artistic field significantly. With such visual expression, it has affected the paintings for a long time till the 19th century, and then has affected various fields such as photography, film, video, computer, architecture and has currently affected the various space expressive of our daily lives and virtual space of digital. This study is to extract a visual and expressionistic characteristic through historical examination and multi-scholar analysis of time-space concept. Especially, by expanding the previous time and space concept, experimental cases and expressionistic characteristics has come up on the media art that offers various experience and by analyzing the expressionistic characteristics of the time-space concept expressed in media art, it is to extract the basic factors for the diversity of space experience.

면적 절약형 고속 FIR 필터의 설계 및 응용 (An Area Efficient High Speed FIR Filter Design and Its Applications)

  • FIR 디지털 필터는 DSP에서 사용되는 중요한 회로 중에 하나이며, 보다 효율적인 연산을 위한 여러 가지 구조가 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 필터 연산을 고속으로 수행하면서도 면적을 줄일 수 있는 필터 구조를 제안한다. Transposed 구조를 적용하여, 고속의 연산이 가능토록 하는 기본 구조를 사용하였다. 여기에, 이중 경로 레지스터 라인이라는 두 개의 연산 패스가 존재하여 다양한 종류의 필터 연산이 가능하며, 이 필터를 연속적으로 이어 사용할 수 있는 cascade 구조도 지원한다. Truncated Booth 곱셈기라는 면적 절약형 곱셈기를 사용하여 회로 크기를 줄일 수 있었다. 이중 경로 레지스터 라인과 truncated 곱셈기를 사용하여 주어진 조건에 최적화된 필터를 설계할 경우에 회로의 크기가 더 줄어 들수 있음을 확인하였다.

광통신 수신기용 클럭/데이타 복구회로 설계 (Design of clock/data recovery circuit for optical communication receiver)

  • In the following paper, new architectural algorithm of clock and data recovery circuit is proposed for 622.08 Mbps optical communication receiver. New algorithm makes use of charge pump PLL using voltage controlled ring oscillator and extracts 8-channel 77.76 MHz clock signals, which are delayed by i/8 (i=1,2, ...8), to convert and recover 8-channel parallel data from 662.08 Mbps MRZ serial data. This circuit includes clock genration block to produce clock signals continuously even if input data doesn't exist. And synchronization of data and clock is doen by the method which compares 1/2 bit delayed onput data and decided dta by extracted clock signals. Thus, we can stabilize frequency and phase of clock signal even if input data is distorted or doesn't exist and simplify receiver architecture compared to traditional receiver's. Also it is possible ot realize clock extraction, data decision and conversion simulataneously. Verification of this algorithm is executed by DESIGN CENTER (version 6.1) using test models which are modelized by analog behavior modeling and digital circuit model, modified to process input frequency sufficiently, in SPICE.

  • 의료산업 분야가 정보화되고 원격진료와 같은 네트웍에 기반한 차세대 의료서비스 시대가 가능하게 되면서 병원간의 진료 정보 공유 및 교환이 중요해졌다. 그럼에도 불구하고 대부분의 심전도 장비 업체들은 디지털 장비를 생산하고 자사 장비를 위한 관리 시스템을 제공하고 있지만, 소수의 자사 장비용으로 국한하며 범용적인 표준 ECC 데이터 표준의 부재로 데이터 및 임상 정보의 호환이 불가능한 상태에 놓여있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 심장병학 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있는 심전도 데이터 및 판독지를 전자적으로 교환하기 위해 의료정보 표준의 양대 산맥인 HL7의 CDA와 DICOM을 기반으로 한 심전도 데이터를 획득, 지장, 조회, 전승이 가능한 심전도관리시스템을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다.

리좀과 하이퍼텍스트 관점에서 본 도서관 공간구조의 이해 (A Study on the Transition of Spatial Structure in Libraries with Special Reference to Rhizome and Hypertext)

  • The spatial property of contemporary library is now rapidly changing through the spatial expansion of knowledge and information, the reduction of information storing facility, the variation of approaching methods by digital shift and the transition of social recognition as a cultural facility. Also the spatial characteristics with referring characters have developed such as, decentralization, de-construction, de-boundary, individual space, erasing of boundary, flow of space which extends infinitely. The main process of library origination, the systematic classification, and the storage system concluding with the demand and value of the information by changing social demands and the role of the widest ranged facility. And 5 themes, such as, hierarchy, center, storage, boundary, and symbol, as a changed spatial concept and analyzed in the case of library plans and libraries which are actually built. The significant purpose of this research is to propose that rhizomatous intellectuality and hypertext could be a theoretical background of the contemporary architecture and could be a viewpoint of the transition of spatial structure in libraries. A future library should have spatial property embracing various social changes and needs and for this respect, it is necessary to approach and analyze through the architectural explication from diverging points of view.

AOA망 환경에서 ATS 애플리케이션 구현을 위한 VDL Mode 2 데이터링크 프로토콜 설계 (Design of VDL Mode 2 Protocol under AOA Network for the Implementation of Bit-oriented ATS Applications)

  • As one of YHF digital data link technologies, VDL Mode 2 is designed to be an air-to-ground subnetwork of the Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) based on the Open System Interconnection (OSI) architecture. VDL Mode 2 can be used in ATS Applications especially for CPDLC and ADS. And it is also expected to replace ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) which has broadly been used in AOC for over 20 years. This paper presents the design result of VDL Mode 2 system under AOA (ACARS Over AVLC) environment for the implementation of bit-oriented ATS applications. The system is composed of airborne and ground subsystem. Airborne subsystem consists of VDR, CMU and an aircraft test equipment with CPDLC/ADS client applications for operational test and ground system consists of Ground Station which includes ground VDR and ground communication controller, simple DSP (Datalink Service Processor) and a ground test equipment with CPDLC/ADS server applications.

  • The subsystems of two channel correlation radiometer such as RF front-end, IF and LF unit, LO unit, software based I/Q demodulator and complex correlator are characterized and their performance is analyzed in this paper. The limited hardware calibration method and receiver design consideration are discussed. The receiver architecture of 37GHz correlation radiometer is integrated. The designed radiometer employs a single-sideband superheterodyne receiver. The center frequency of the radiometer is 37 GHz and IF center frequency is 1.95 GHz with the equivalent noise bandwidth of 79.6 MHz. The receiver has less than 4.2 dB noise figure which is calculated by the Y-factor method and its gain can be adjusted from 60 dB to 80 dB.

Study on cognitive load of OM interface and eye movement experiment for nuclear power system

  • The operation and monitoring (OM) interface is the digital medium between nuclear power system and operators. The cognitive load of OM interface has an important effect on the operation errors made by operator during OM task between operator and computer. The cognitive load model of OM interface is constructed for analysing the composition and influencing factors of OM interface cognitive load. And to study the coping strategies and methods for cognitive load of nuclear power system. An experiment method based on eye movement is proposed to measure the cognitive load of OM interface. Experiment case is carried out with 20 subjects and typical OM interface of a nuclear power system simulator. The OM interface is optimized based on the experiment results. And the results comparison between the original OM interface and the optimized OM interface shows that the cognitive load model and proposed method is valuable contributions in reducing the cognitive load and improving the interaction efficiency of OM tasks.

다중모드 센서 신호 처리 프로세서의 FPGA 기반 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Multi-mode Sensor Signal Processor on FPGA Device)

  • Internet of Things (IoT) systems process signals from various sensors using signal processing algorithms suitable for the signal characteristics. To analyze complex signals, these systems usually use signal processing algorithms in the frequency domain, such as fast Fourier transform (FFT), filtering, and short-time Fourier transform (STFT). In this study, we propose a multi-mode sensor signal processor (SSP) accelerator with an FFT-based hardware design. The FFT processor in the proposed SSP is designed with a radix-2 single-path delay feedback (R2SDF) pipeline architecture for high-speed operation. Moreover, based on this FFT processor, the proposed SSP can perform filtering and STFT operation. The proposed SSP is implemented on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). By sharing the FFT processor for each algorithm, the required hardware resources are significantly reduced. The proposed SSP is implemented and verified on Xilinxh's Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC ZCU104 with 53,591 look-up tables (LUTs), 71,451 flip-flops (FFs), and 44 digital signal processors (DSPs). The FFT, filtering, and STFT algorithm implementations on the proposed SSP achieve 185x average acceleration.
