Recently smartphone has propagated all age groups rapidly due to the fact that the advance of media and the increase of smartphone penetration. In South Korea, high-school students' smartphone retention rate is 90.2%. This study proceed an analysis of high school students' smartphone usage by a feasibility study, and also by recording the log data of actual usage patterns of smartphone applications. The feasibility study investigates subject's smartphone usage, and the log data analysis measures the accurate usage recorded for about three months. We compared the feasibility study and the log data for the daily smartphone usage, and investigated the change of usage pattern during the weekdays, weekends, and the before, during and after exams. High-school students are unique group in capital area. As a result, we found that high-school students' smartphone usage pattern in capital area has not affected by weekday or weekend but has affected by the before, during and after exams.

The reality which cannot protect existing tangible intangible modern cultural heritage in Daejeon is makes historical value and identity of a city weakened and then, this leads to absence of the foundation of urban regeneration based on the history. References as recording inheritance indicates characteristics or identity of the area and they represent the physical mental symbol of the area; images of diverse structures or sceneries with historical or cultural characteristics are contents of urban regeneration based on history and culture, which can be utilized as historical sources to verify realness of disappearing modern cultural heritage. Therefore, understanding and utilization of modern cultural heritage through this study on regional archiving can be deemed to be the first stage to bring community spirit, affection and pride to local residents. In this connection, this study intends to suggest a policy direction not only to maintain realness of modern cultural heritage through preservation and utilization but also to expect formation of settling and fellowship as well as cultural economical effect from the viewpoint of urban regeneration.

UCI (Universal Content Identifier) as a national digital content identification system for identifying digital content and ICN (Integrated Copyright Number) for copyright management are operated by Korea copyright commission. However, They are not interoperable with international standard identification system such as ISRC (International Standard Recording Code), ISWC (International Standard Works Code), and ISAN (International Standard Audiovisual Number) due to lack of linkage system. Hence, extra works with international standard identification system are needed for international market entry and integrated management of statistical information including content settlement in international market is impossible. In this paper, the domestic/international identification systems are surveyed, and by metadata analysis of identification systems, linkage method with UCI/ICN is proposed. And also by developing the prototype model, research direction to UCI/ICN with international standard identification system is proposed.

As studies on ubiquitous computing are actively conducted, desire for various services, including image transmission storage, search and remote monitoring. has been expanding into mobile environment as well as to PCs. while CCTV (closed circuit TV) and un DVR (Digital video Recording) are used in places where security service such as intrusion detection system is required, these are high-end equipment. So it is not easy for ordinary users or household and small-sized companies to use them. Besides, they are difficult to be carried and camera solution for mobile device does not support high-quality function and provides low-definition of QVGA for picture quality. Therefore, in this study, design and implementation of embedded system of high-definition image transmission for ubiquitous mobile device which is not inferior to PC or DVR are described. To this end, usage of dedicated CPU for mobile device and design and implementation of MPEG-4 H/W CODEC also are examined. The implemented system showed excellent performance in mobile environment, in terms of speed, picture quality.

Digital devices that apply Ubiquitous-IT Convergence in ship manufacture are used as ship automation device. Need sailing data recording of ship black box that equip integrity and consecutiveness as legal confesser fare that inquire responsibility whereabouts of disaster such as fire of ship. It is research that create Forensic data from ship black box using Multidimensional networking that use ZigBee radio short distance communications division Wireless LAN with short distance RFID sensor that is used in ship in this treatise, UWB communication, GPS and artificial satellite. Sailing recording of shipping that is recorded to black box is transmited, and stores doubly by real time on ship insurance company and ship administration recording membrane using SHA-1 hash function and secure consecutiveness and integrity as Forensic data through artificial satellite encoding by 3DES 1024bit.

Air Data Recording System (ADRS) is the flight data recorder for the SmartUAV development. ADRS of the low cost designed for the SmartUAV has been developed and tested through the ground test. ADRS is the reconstructing data acquisition system and can be programmed automation controller. This paper focuses on the design aspects of the hardware and software. The hardware aspects of the ADRS include details about the hardware configurations for the interfaces with the Digital Flight Control Computer(DFCC) and sensors, components modifications. The software section describes the ADRS Operating System(OS) and data flow for archived files. Finally, ADRS-based results of the SmartUAV that include the Iron-bird test, system interface test and ground test are presented.

In this paper, The UBI(: Usage Based Insurance) insurance products for existing and analyze a variety of data pertaining to the operation or disposition or utilization of advanced telematics devices, such as digital recording device operates as a means to identify the insured or the insurer operates in real time recording (monitoring). Therefore, this study performs a city in wireless communication infrastructure functions Traffic Information System : leverage(UTIS : Urban Traffic Information System) and to develop a system that linked insurance products, such as PAYD, PHYD and MHYD. Utilizing the UTIS systems and analyze the driver's vehicle driving recorder tendencies.

In this paper we propose a Wavelet- based compression algorithm of HDTV video signals for the purpose of recording HDTV signals in the digital VTR. Comparing to the DCT- based compression method, which only yields unrecognizable DCT coefficients, the low frequency components of Wavelet coefficients maintain recognizable spatial domain information. So, it is more suitable for various VTR operations such as editing and multi-speed mode operations. Also, the adopted Wavelet filter can be Implemented with simple shift operations, which can reduce the computational complexities substantially. The quality of reconstructed HDTV signals with a 4:1 compression ratio turns out to be good enough for the studio use.

In this paper, we propose a design of the metadata engine of the video recording system to minimize the retrieval time. For this purpose, the proposed metadata engine stores the XML metadata as a separated fragment and construct a hierarchical indexing scheme based on the contextual and structural properties of metadata. The hierarchical indexing scheme is consisted of a node index for basic searching and a group index for advanced searching. In this way our approach can minimize the number of indexes and thus the retrieval time. Our simulation results show that the response time of our proposed system is shorter than that of the previous works.

Reading and writing in the past make noble significance in 'narration', in other words, in 'the creation of narration', through the process of 'recording'; but in the modern times, it engenders controversies over narration and linearity. In other words, reading/writing in digital era, is devalued as the simple arrangement of test or the connection of vast information without narration nor linearity. However, the reading/writing through text and hypertext reading is not the phenomenon which should be criticized because of the lack of narration or linearity-not only the lack of narration and linearity -, a process of social and cultural transition; it should be revalued as a result. The change of reading and writing methods will inevitably accompany the layers, status, significance and value of the contents; thus it makes more sense, when the reading and writing methods in digital contents are approached as new pop culture phenomenon. This is the "The prose of everyday life", based on pop culture and "The society of Conversation", based on communication; proposed 'Digitelling' ; this is the reason why we should pay attention to the digital contents, created infinitely by the citizens of the world, as new mass-culture phenomenon.
