  • To obtain a robustness which is one of important characteristics needed in servo drive, the sliding mode control method is used as a control strategy. However, the undesired phenomenon of chattering is a serious problem. In this paper, an adaptive chattering alleviation algorithm for variable structure system control is proposed to solve this serious problem. Digital controller using the theory of chattering alleviation control is applied to the position control problem of an induction motor system. Comparisons of this algorithm with other variable structure system control algorithms indicate that the chattering can be alleviated. This controller is implemented using IBM-PC(8088 CPU) which controls current controlled PWM inverter consisted of IGBT as a switching device to drive motor.

  • This paper presents a study of DFIG wind power generation system for real-time simulation. For real-time simulation, the real-time digital simulator (RTDS) and its user friendly interface simulation software (RSCAD) are used. 2.2MW grid-connected variable speed DFIG wind power generation system is modeled and analyzed in this study. Stator-flux oriented vector control scheme is applied to stator, rotor side converter control, and back-to-back PWM converters are implemented for the decoupled control. The real-wind speed signal extracted by an anemometer is used for realistic and accurate simulation analysis. Block diagrams for DFIG and control scheme of stator, rotor-side are introduced. Real-time simulation cases are carried out and analyzed for the validity of this work.

  • In this paper, the battery charger developed which is satisfy by the characteristics of the rapid control and reduce the cost of the charger. analog-digital mixed mode controller developed with dedicated IC for PWM control and low-performance micro-processor is using for the operation control of charger. The low-cost NEV charger developed to verify the performance and usability is verified with charging battery experiment by of using developed charger.

  • FPS(Filament Power Supply), one of the KSTAR NBI(Neutral Beam Injections) is implemented by full-bridge DC/DC converter. NBI heating device for KSTAR(1.5MW) is developed for heating an ion source of plasma in KSTAR tokmak. The full-bridge DC/DC converter is applied to FPS for isolation with input and output. And FPS is operated with PWM control method which is the most usual method. In this paper, NBI FPS of 4.8kW is simulated by using the PSIM 6.0. And the full-bridge DC/DC converter using IGBTs is fabricated to demonstrate it. The processor DSP 28335 is implemented for digital control.

  • This paper presents a SPMSM servo motor drive system using high performance TMS320 F281T DSP for the industrial application. This high performance DSP contains some special peripheral circuits such as PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) waveform generation circuit, Quadrature Encoder Pulse (QEP) generation circuit and Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) circuit. In this paper, a servo drive control system is constructed using high performance DPS for the overall system cost reduction and the size minimization.

  • In this paper, single phase boost converter with low current harmonic components and high power factor are proposed. A single-phase half-bridge rectifier based on a neutral point switch clamped scheme is proposed to draw a nearly unity power factor and regulate the DC link voltage. Three power switches are employed in the proposed rectifier. This rectifier is controlled to generate a bipolar or unipolar PWM voltage waveform on the AC side. The proposed converter is implemented by a digital signal processor.

  • 교류 전동기의 전류 제어 특성은 전동기의 재정 수의 특성, 전류 제어기의 구성 및 제어 주기, PWM기법 및 주파수에 의해 달라지며, 시스템의 동적 특성 및 효율에도 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문은 PMSM(Permanent magnet synchronous motor)의 동기좌표계에서 벡터 제어 시 전류 제어 특성을 분석할 수 있는 실제와 동일한 디지털 전류 제어기 및 SVPWM(Space Vector PW)을 포함한 시뮬레이터를 구현하였으며 고속 및 일반 PMSM을 대상으로 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 그 결과 전류 제어 특성의 예측 가능함을 보였다.

  • This paper introduces a method for design and implementation of a current controller for boost converter operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM) using a digital signal processor (DSP). A Proportional-Integral (PI) type current controller outputs an average voltage command for inductor, used in the input side of the boost converter, and the duty-ratio of PWM (pulse width modulation) signal for switching device is directly calculated from the average voltage command. The gains of the PI current controller are selected such that the current response characteristics are the same as those of a first-order low-pass filter. The proposed current control scheme is implemented using a DSP based on fixed-point math operations and an experimental study has been performed to validate the proposed method.

  • This paper presents the result of driving performance analysis of PMSM type AC servo motor based on control system using a microprocessor. The experiment using the microprocessor is tested with a 120[v], 200[w] PMSM type AC servo motor. The PWM signal generated in the microprocessor for the servo motor voltage is chapped by power transistor modules to change the AC servo motor speed. The torque of the AC servo motor with a permanent magnet can be easily controlled over a wide range by changing the AC servo motor current.

  • In order to establish the robust current controller design technique of series wound motor driver system. This paper proposes a method of compensated Bang-Bang current control using a series wound motor driver system under improperly variable load. To get minimum time torque control. A compensated Bang-Bang current controller structure is simpler than the structure of PID plus Bang-Bang controller. This paper shows that a general 8 bits microprocessor be used efficiently implementing such an algorithm. The calculation time of software is extremely small when compared with conventional PID plus Bang-Bang a controller. Both nonlinear operating characteristics of Digital switching elements and Describing Function methods are used for the analysis and synthesis. Real time implementation of compensated Bang-Bang current is achieved. Concept design strategy of the control and PWM waveform generation algorithms are presented in the paper.
