Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between buccal bone thickness and gingival thickness by means of a noninvasive and relatively accurate digital registration method. Methods: In 20 periodontally healthy subjects, cone-beam computed tomographic images and intraoral scanned files were obtained. Measurements of buccal bone thickness and gingival thickness at the central incisors, lateral incisors, and canines were performed at points 0-5 mm from the alveolar crest on the superimposed images. The Friedman test was used to compare buccal bone and gingival thickness for each depth between the 3 tooth types. Spearman's correlation coefficient was calculated to assess the correlation between buccal bone thickness and gingival thickness. Results: Of the central incisors, 77% of all sites had a buccal thickness of 0.5-1.0 mm, and 23% had a thickness of 1.0-1.5 mm. Of the lateral incisors, 71% of sites demonstrated a buccal bone thickness <1.0 mm, as did 63% of the canine sites. For gingival thickness, the proportion of sites <1.0 mm was 88%, 82%, and 91% for the central incisors, lateral incisors, and canines, respectively. Significant differences were observed in gingival thickness at the alveolar crest level (G0) between the central incisors and canines (P=0.032) and between the central incisors and lateral incisors (P=0.013). At 1 mm inferior to the alveolar crest, a difference was found between the central incisors and canines (P=0.025). The lateral incisors and canines showed a significant difference for buccal bone thickness 5 mm under the alveolar crest (P=0.025). Conclusions: The gingiva and buccal bone of the anterior maxillary teeth were found to be relatively thin (<1 mm) overall. A tendency was found for gingival thickness to increase and bone thickness to decrease toward the root apex. Differences were found between teeth at some positions, although the correlation between buccal bone thickness and soft tissue thickness was generally not significant.

18-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography-computed tomography ($^{18}F$-FDG PET/CT) scans are commonly used for the staging and restaging of various malignancies, such as head and neck, breast, colorectal and gynecological cancers. However, the value of FDG PET/CT for detecting prostate cancer is unknown. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical value of incidental prostate $^{18}F$-FDG uptake on PET/CT scans. We reviewed $^{18}F$-FDG PET/CT scan reports from September 2009 to September 2013, and selected cases that reported focal/diffuse FDG uptake in the prostate. We analyzed the correlation between $^{18}F$-FDG PET/CT scan findings and data collected during evaluations such as serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, digital rectal examination (DRE), transrectal ultrasound (TRUS), and/or biopsy to confirm prostate cancer. Of a total of 18,393 cases, 106 (0.6%) exhibited abnormal hypermetabolism in the prostate. Additional evaluations were performed in 66 patients. Serum PSA levels were not significantly correlated with maximum standardized uptake values (SUVmax) in all patients (rho 0.483, p=0.132). Prostate biopsies were performed in 15 patients, and prostate cancer was confirmed in 11. The median serum PSA level was 4.8 (0.55-7.06) ng/mL and 127.4 (1.06-495) ng/mL in the benign and prostate cancer groups, respectively. The median SUVmax was higher in the prostate cancer group (mean 10.1, range 3.8-24.5) than in the benign group (mean 4.3, range 3.1-8.8), but the difference was not statistically significant (p=0.078). There was no significant correlation between SUVmax and serum PSA, prostatic volume, or Gleason score. $^{18}F$-FDG PET/CT scans did not reliably differentiate malignant or benign from abnormal uptake lesions in the prostate, and routine prostate biopsy was not usually recommended in patients with abnormal FDG uptake. Nevertheless, patients with incidental prostate uptake on $^{18}F$-FDG PET/CT scans should not be ignored and should be undergo further clinical evaluations, such as PSA and DRE.
In order to measure the parameters of consumers' preferred image quality, this research suggests image quality assessment factors; dynamic range, color, and contrast. They have both physical image quality factors and psychological characteristics from the previous researches. We found out the specific ranges of preferred image quality metrics. As a result, Digital Zone System meant for dynamic range generally shows 6~10 stop ranges in portrait, nightscape, and landscape. Total RGB mean values represent in portrait (67.2~215.2), nightscape (46~142), and landscape (52~185). Portrait total RGB averages have the widest range, landscape, and nightscape, respectively. Total scene contrast ranges show in portrait (196~589), nightscape (131~575), and landscape (104~767). Especially in portrait, skin tone RGB mean values are in ZONE V as the exposure standard, but practically image consumers' preferred skin tone level is in ZONE IV. Also, total scene versus main subject contrast ratio represents 1:1.2; therefore, we conclude that image consumers prefer the out-of-focus effect in portrait. Throughout this research, we can measure the preferred image quality metrics ranges. Also, we expect the practical and specific dynamic range, color, and contrast information of preferred image quality to positively influence product development.
The vehicle simulation (flight simulator) in 1920's was the first in the virtual reality. With the development of precise optical and electromagnetic equipment, the virtual reality widened its application for other purposes than military one. Based on the realistic display technology, it is more and more common in the various areas such as entertainment, medical profession, learning, film, architectural design, tourism and etc. In 1989, Jaron Ranier was the first to use the terminology 'Virtual Reality'. With this term, all virtual projects could be classified in a single item. But even before the term was used, the virtual reality has been studied up to now. As a part of virtual reality, the human thirst for the impossible thing has led to the development of ride film. The ride film consists of the special technical elements as well as the psychological analysis of human being. The ultimate purpose of virtual reality is engrossment through interaction. Even though the real interaction requires interface, input sensor and reaction ability, the ride film is not an element of the typical interaction. The virtual reality is mostly defined in technical terms now. But in this study, we will analyze the concepts worked out by Professor Michael Haim who is called a philosopher in the cyberspace in aspect of experience-oriented definition. We will analyze the adaptability of virtual reality based on his concepts such as artificial reality/ interaction/ engrossment/ networked world/ remote display/ simulation/ onmon engrossment. And also, we aim to suggest the directions of developing the ride films for perfect engrossment and to draw optimized conclusion thereon. In this viewpoint, we consider that the study of ride film on which there were few case studies will contribute to level up the basic frameworks of IT technology and the digital image.
This study was implemented to select the suitable site for Palustrine Wetland at habitat restoration for Oriental stork, red species and top-level predator in ecosystem. The evaluation items was fitted by review the antecedent studies on the suitable site selection model and evaluation items of wetland. The study sites were setted in $5,884,800m^2$ area including Yesan-gun Dae-ree, in which Oriental stork' park will be located, through DEM(Digital Elevation Model) watershed analysis. The thematic map by valuation items with secure of water resource, soil, topography, distance between roads, houses, etc., land using, wildlife corridor, and type of water resource was prepared using GIS program. The sites with high evaluation score were selected as suitable creation sites for wetland through overlapping those maps. Total 8 sites with over 18 point were selected. The characteristics of selected sites show that the soil are consisted of clay, the connectivity is valued high with surface water, the slope are gentle, and the connectivity is good with surroundings ecosystem. The result of water quality analysis, which was implement to survey available water resources and develop the solution of problem of water environment, showed that water quality at Salmok reservoir and Bogang reservoir is generally good, but the water quality at stagnant water body rising out from groundwater is not good. This study has limit to select the suitable sites of wetland only by analyzing physiotherapy environment in study area. Hereafter, the study is need to examine closely enhancement effects of biological diversity through investigation of biotic environment.
In this article, the excavation and research of cultural assets were set as a process and the improvement measures were considered. To this end, we examined the process of excavating cultural assets to diagnose problems, suggested changes in the format of reports and the establishment of a database, and drew up improvement models for Silla's ancient tombs and research. The problems of the current process of excavating cultural assets are as follows. First, investigation and research fail to integrate and merely comprise 'examination as an administrative procedure' or 'investigation for the sake of investigation', which ultimately hamper research and achievement. Second, there are differences in the composition or description of the report by surveyors or excavation agencies, which make it difficult to integrate data at a higher level. Third, the current form of reporting remains in analog format such as books and PDFs, which not only reduces continuity and efficiency to the research phase, but also lags behind the rapidly changing times. We believe that the improvement of these problems should be achieved by computerizing reports, converting them into digital formats, and establishing them in a database. First, regarding the transition to report format, it was pointed out that the form of excavation data, the final stage of the excavation process, remains analog and the improvement model was presented from the perspective of linking it to excavation and research, and the justification was emphasized through comparison with other cases. Second, the database reviewed the build model for Silla tombs. To this end, the purpose and expected effects, targets, progress, attributes, categories, and interfaces were examined.

Many users actively create and share digital contents in a variety of social media platforms. Social media users have become accustomed to posting or uploading their daily routines, and generating their contents by imitating others' contents or by creating their own unique contents on the basis of their creativity. Thus, this paper explores the relationship between individual creativity, imitation and creative behavior in using social media. In addition, the study demonstrates the moderating effect of individual characteristics such as age and educational level on the relationship between creativity and imitation. We conducted a three-month survey of 564 individuals using social media services and the results were used for hypotheses testing. The study results are summarized as follows. Firstly, creativity has a significant and positive impact on imitation, but not a direct impact on creative behavior. Secondly, the moderating effect of individual characteristics between creativity and imitation is not statistically significant. Based on these findings, this study presents practical and academic implications of the research.
The global success of PSY's Gangnam Style was mediated through combination of YouTube and SNS. PSY's success led into some communication scholars' consideration of new international circulation of Korean pop culture (Korean Trend 2.0). In terms of global circulation of pop culture, it is noticeable how users appropriate YouTube channel beyond mere watching music videos and mere international circulation of Korean pop culture. The mode of fan's activity and appropriation contributes to the expansion of the width and amplification of the volume of Korean popular culture as well. The circulation of pop culture was considered in the level of exchange of tangible commodities such as CD, DVD, and so on until the adoption of digital media and Internet. YouTube has brought new mode in which the international circulation of pop culture is mediated without exchange of tangible commodities but was amplified with the diffusion of network. This study grasps how the mode of users' appropriation contributes to international circulation of pop culture through case studies of some K-pop music videos and international K-pop fans' tribute activities. In terms of theoretical perspective, fandom studies will be examined. In terms of research method, the researcher adopts netnography, a participatory observation on network, to find the feature of fandom and its contribution to the international circulation of pop cultures.

A load effect by vehicles running on a road and an increase of traffic is distinguished as a serious issue in the level of bridges' maintenance and management since it causes a quick damage of bridges. The expansion joint is the most important since it makes vehicles' traveling amicable and stress or additional load harmful to molding patterns minimized. However, it is very difficult to measure its expansion length since vehicles continue to pass on the expansion joint. Therefore, the study could see that it was possible to carry out a qualitative and quantitative maintenance and management if its expansion length is extracted with images. The study could acquire three dimensional coordinates of expansion joints with images. As the results of calculating RMSE of check point residual at 32 points in A area and at 28 points in B area, both A and B areas had very good results of RMSEsms 0.829mm~1.680mm. As the results of analyzing expansion length and immediate value extracted by images, the study analyzed that RMSE of A area was 0.64mm and RMSE of B area was 0.28. The average residual of A area was 0.60% and the average rresidual of B area was 0.27%. Therefore, it is judged that it is more scientific and efficient than the past to measure expansion length with images at the time of repairing and managing bridges in the future.
Electrogastrography(EGG) is a noninvasive method for measuring gastric electrical activity on the abdomen resulting from gastric muscle. EGG signals have a very low frequency range (0.0083 ~0.15 Hz) and extremely low amplitude(10~100 uV). Consequently, EGG signal is easily influenced by other noises. Both finite impulse response(FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) filters need high orders or have phase distortions for passing very narrow bandwidth of the EGG signal. In this study, we decomposed EGG signals using a wavelet multiresolution method with Daubechies mother wavelet. The EGG signals were decomposed to seven levels. We reconstructed signal by summing the decomposed signals from level four to seven. To evaluate the performance of the wavelet multiresolution filter(WMF) with simulated EGG signal using two kinds of FIR and four kinds of IIR filters., we used two indices; signal to noise ratio(SNR) and reconstruction squared error(RSE). The SNR of WMF had 9.5, 6.9, and 4.7 dB bigger than that of the other filters at different noise levels, respectively. Also, The RSE of WMF had $1.22{\times}10^6, 1.16{\times}10^6, 1.02{\times}10^6$ smaller than that of the other filters at different noise levels, respectively. The WMF performed better in the SNR and RSE than two kinds of FIR and four kinds of IIR filters.
