  • Digital models for a cable-stayed bridge are defined considering data-driven engineering from design to construction. Algorithms for digital object generation of each component of the cable-stayed bridge were developed. Using these algorithms, Level-3 BIM practices can be realized from design stages. Based on previous practices, digital object library can be accumulated. Basic digital models are modified according to given design conditions by a designer. Once design models are planned, various applications using the models are linked the models such as estimation, drawings and mechanical properties. Federated bridge models are delivered to construction stages. In construction stage, the models can be efficiently revised according to the changed situations during construction phases. In this paper, measured coordinates are imported to the model generation algorithms and revised models are obtained. Augmented reality devices and their applications are proposed. AR simulations in construction site and in office condition are tested. From this pilot test of digital models, it can be said that Level-3 BIM practices can be realized by using in-house modeling algorithms according to different purposes.

The purpose of this research is to examine the spatial distribution characteristics of China's digital economy from 2016 to 2019. Moran's I analysis was performed to see if China's digital economy has spatial self-correlation. The Getis-Ord General G test was used to determine the clustering type of China's digital economy. In addition, we used OLS and GWR methodologies to figure out what drives China's digital economy level. The findings show that the digital economy is rapidly expanding throughout China; yet, there is a significant regional imbalance in the digital economy level in China, and the agglomeration of the digital economy is increasing over time. Furthermore, the findings reveal that human capital, information staff, telegram income, and Internet access are vital factors in the development of the digital economy. To close the digital economy gap, policymakers must invest in human capital and technology innovation. Simultaneously, the government must speed up the development and implementation of electronic information services.

  • As the untact culture spreads, the digital divide, which is a problem of access to digital information for the vulnerable, can appear as information inequality in various fields, including the social and cultural field. This study identified the digital divide level for the vulnerable population and analyzed the effects of information accessibility, demographic and social characteristics, and physical and mental health characteristics on the information level. As a result, the higher the accessibility of information, the smaller the digital divide and the greater the digital utilization, so it is necessary to increase the accessibility of information devices and increase the ability to utilize them. In addition, the higher the age, the more women than men, and the lower the income level, the greater the digital divide, so it is necessary to increase digital capabilities through detailed class-specific programs for the vulnerable. Finally, it was found that the digital divide and the level of digital literacy had a significant effect on the life satisfaction and daily life satisfaction of the vulnerable. The expansion of competency-building education programs to enhance information utilization capabilities by changing the paradigm to a digital inclusion policy should be continuously operated.

  • We propose a new technique for the optical encryption of gray-level optical images digitized into 8-bits binary data by ASCII encoding followed by QPSK modulation. We made an encrypted digital hologram with a security key by using 2-step phase-shifting digital holography, and the encrypted digital hologram is recorded on a CCD camera with 256 gray-level quantized intensities. With these encrypted digital holograms, the phase values are reconstructed by the same security key and are decrypted into the original gray-level optical image by demodulation and decoding. Simulation results show that the proposed method can be used for cryptosystems and security systems.
