Adaptive Control of Industrial Robot Using Neural Network (신경회로망을 이용한 산업용 로봇의 적응제어)

  • This paper presents a new scheme of neural network controller to improve the robustuous of robot manipulator using digital signal processors. Digital signal processors, DSPs, are micro-processors that are particularly developed for fast numerical computations involving sums and products of variables. Digital version of most advanced control algorithms can be defined as sums and products of measured variables, thus it can be programmed and executed through DSPs. In addition, DSPs are as fast in computation as most 32-bit micro-processors and yet at a fraction of their prices. These features make DSPs a viable computational tool in digital implementation of sophisticated controllers. During past decade it was proposed the well-established theorys for the adaptive control of linear systems, but there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Perforating of the proposed controller is illustrated. This paper describes a new approach to the design of adaptive controller and implementation of real-time control for assembling robotic manipulator using digital signal processor.   • This paper presents a multiple gain controlled digital phase and frequency detector with a fast lock-time. Lock-time of the digital PLL can be significantly reduced by applying proposed adaptive gain control technique. A loop gain of the proposed digital PLL is controlled by three conditions that are very large phase difference between reference and feedback signal, small phase difference and before lock-state, and after lock-state. The simulation result shows that lock-time of the proposed multiple gain controlled digital PLL is 100 times faster than that of the conventional structure with unit gain mode.

  • A very fast algorithm, using fast Haar transformation with half a cycle dc-offset free data, to extract the power frequency components and to detect faults in power systems is proposed. For the speed-up, two important techniques are used. First, according to the symmetric characteristics of sine and cosine functions, fundamental frequency components are calculated with only half a cycle sample data. For using these characteristics, post-fault de-offset components must be removed beforehand. Therefore, secondly, a newly designed digital filter is used to remove exponentially decaying dc-offset from the post-fault signal. In accordance with series simulations, transmission line faults can be detected in around half a cycle after faults.

  • In this paper, we propose a robust and fast digital image stabilization algorithm based on edge detection. The proposed algorithm exploits sobel operator to obtain edge image and fast detects irregular conditions with analyzing an edge information of the image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can gain better performance in the sense of speed and precision comparing with full-block search method.

  • The fast charging photoflash capacitor charger with wide range current limiter is presented. By using proposed control logic block and wide range current limiter, the photoflash capacitor charger can reduce charging time and control life of battery for user convenience. The proposed photoflash capacitor charger has 3s charging time at 3.3V battery voltage, 1.2A current limit condition. It is well-suited for portable device application like digital camera, digital video camera, and mobile phone with camera.

A method on Digital Elevation Model Extraction Using Satellite Images

  • The purpose of this paper is to extract fast DEM (Digital Elevation Model) using satellite images. DEM extraction consists of three parts. First part is the modeling of satellite position and attitude, second part is the matching of two images to find corresponding poults of them and third part is to calculate the elevation of each point by using the result of the first and second part. The position and attitude modeling of satellite is processed by using GCPs. A area based matching method is used to find corresponding points between the stereo satellite images. In the DEM generation system, this procedure holds most of a processing time, therefore a new fast matching algorithm is proposed to reduce the time for matching. The elevation of each point is calculated using the exterior orientation obtained from modeling and disparity from matching. In this paper, the SPOT satellite images, level IA 6000 $\times$6000 panchromatic images are used to extract DEM. The experiment result shows the possibility of fast DEM. extraction with the satellite images.

  • In this paper, we develop a TMS320C31 (60MHz) digital signal processor (DSP) board to synthesize gradient waveforms for Spiral Scan Imaging (SSI), which is one of the ultra fast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods widely used. In SSI, accurate gradient waveforms are very essential to high quality magnetic resonance images. For this purpose, sampling rate for synthesizing the gradient waveforms is set twice as high as the data sampling rate. With the developed DSP boards accurate gradient waveforms are obtained. Ultra fast spiral scan imaging with the developed with the developed DSP board is currently under development.

  • From the viewpoint of the cost effective design of power conversion systems, it is very important to fully u utilize the CillTent capacity of power devices over all circumstances. Therefore this paper deals with the l practical design of digital CillTent controller to meet the requirements of fast and overshoot free control r response over the varying control voltage bOlmds, the accompanied computational delay, and the system U W1certainties. The proposed controller consists of high gain PI control schemes using both the conditional i integrator and the modified delay compensator. The simulation and experimental results show the validity of t the proposed controller.
