Digital Control System for Induction Motor Drive Using DSP (DSP를 이용한 유도전동기 디지털 제어시스템)

  • This paper presents a implementation of digital motion control system for induction motor vector drives using the 16bit DSP TMS320F240. The DSP controller enable enhanced real time algorithm and cost-effective design of intelligent controllers for motors which can be yield enhanced operation, fewer system components, lower system cost, increased efficiency and high performance. The system presented are speed and current sensing, sine look-up table and generated SVPWM by fully integrated control software. The developed system in a implementation are shown a good speed response and motion control characteristic results, and high performance features in general purposed 2.2[kW] machine. The system can be adapted variform motor drive system.

  • In this paper, the optimal digital redesign is studied within the framework of fuzzy systems and dual-rate sampling control theory. An equivalent fast-rate discrete-time state-space model of the continuous-time system is constructed by using fuzzy inference systems. To obtain the optimal feedback gains developed in the continuous-time system, the constructed fuzzy system is converted into a continuous-time system. The developed continuous-time control law is converted into an equivalent slow-rate digital control law using the proposed digital redesign method. The digital redesign technique using a fuzzy model is employed to simulate the inverted pendulum dynamics.

  • EDMS systems have been a main alternative for enterprise content management (ECM), which provide valuable functions for the effective control and management of organization-level digital contents. However, it has not been effective frequently for the purpose of integrative control of overall contents in an organization. One of reasons for this problem is that individuals usually create and store files with their own personal computers and do not move them to the central storage and control device, EDMS. Many occasions show that this situation can cause undesirable results for better management of enterprise contents. This paper introduced an approach of virtual folder which can directly connect individual computers and EDMS storage device without users' inconvenience. Adding the capacity of restricting usage of individual computer, users unavoidably and conveniently store and retrieve digital contents using EDMS server system. Several modules and implementing architecture for the virtual folder system are shown and the results of utilizing the system are explained with a case of application.

  • In this paper, we propose a systematic method for intelligent digital redesign of a fuzzy-model-based controller for continuous-time nonlinear system which may also contain system uncertainties. The continuous-time uncertain TS fuzzy model is first contructed to represent the uncertain nonlinear system. A parallel distributed compensation(PDC) technique is then used to design a fuzzy-model-based controller for both stabilization. The designed continuous-time controller is then converted to an equivalent discrete-time controller by using a globally intelligent digital redesign method. This new technique is designed by a global matching of state variables between analog control system and digital control system. This new design technique provides a systematic and effective framework for integration of the fuzzy-model-based control theory and the advanced digital redesign technique for nonlinear systems with uncertainties. Finally, Chaotic Lorenz system is used as an illustrative example to show the effectiveness and the feasibility of the developed design method.

  • This paper presents the digital control of single-phase power factor correction(PFC) converter which has the variable gain according to the condition of inner control loop error. Generally the gain of inner current control loop in single-stage PFC converter has a constant magnitude. This has a bad influence on the power factor because current loop doesn't operate smoothly in the condition that input voltage is low In particular a digital controller has more time delay than an analog controller and degrades This drops the phase margin of the total digital PFC system,. It causes the problem that the gain of current control loop isn't increased enough. In addition the oscillation happens in the peak value of the input voltage open loop PFC system gain changes according to ac input voltage. These aspects make the design of the digital PFC controller difficult The digital PFC controller presented in this paper has a variable gain of current control loop according to input voltage. The 1kW converter was used to verify the efficiency of the digital PFC controller.

  • A digital state feedback control method for the current mode control of DC-DC converters is proposed in this paper. This approach can precisely achieve interleaved current sharing among the converter modules. As the controller design and system analysis are performed in the time domain, the proposed method can easily satisfy the required converter specification by using the pole placement technique. The digital state feedback controller in the continuous and discrete time domain is derived for the robust tracking control. For the verification of the proposed control scheme, a parallel module bi-directional converter in a prototype 42V/14V hybrid automotive power system, which is a design example in the continuous time domain, and a parallel module buck converter, which is a design example in the discrete time domain, are implemented using a TMS320F2812 digital signal processor (DSP).

  • We have designed the power control unit which belongs to the power cabinet and controls the power supplied to Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM) as a digital system based on Digital Signal Processor(DSP). The power control unit dualized as the form of Master/Slave has had its increased reality. The Central Process Unit(CPU) board of a power control unit possesses two Digital Signal Processors(DSPs) of the control DSP for performing the tasks of power control and system monitoring and the communication of the Control DSP and the Communication DSP. To accomplish the functions requested in the power control unit effectively, we have installed Field Programmable Gate Arrays(FPGAS) on the CPU board and have FPGAs perform the memory mapping, the generation of each chip selection signal, the giving and receiving of the signals between the power controllers dualized, the fault detection and the generation of the firing signals.

Robust Digital Nonlinear Friction Compensation (견실한 비선형 마찰보상 이산제어)

  • This report suggests a new non-linear friction compensation for digital control systems. This control adopts a hysteric nonlinear clement which can introduce the phase lead of the control system to compensate the phase delay comes from the inherent time delay of a digital control. The Lyapunov direct method is used to prove the asymtotic stability of the suggested control, and the stability and the effectiveness are verified analytically and experimentally on a single axis servo driving system.

  • The excitation control system of an emergency diesel generator is classified as a kind of safety-related system. Compared with other control systems in a power plant, this system is required to be more reliable and have better performance. In this paper, the digital multi-redundant excitation system for a diesel generator was proposed. The signal processing system of the proposed system makes high speed signal processing and arithmetic in excitation control possible. The improved soft start algorithm and multiple PI parameters adaptation considering the diesel generator characteristics were implemented in the proposed system. The developed system was applied to a nuclear power plant successfully.

  • This paper presents an algorithm to design a robust digital model following servo control system in which optimal linear quadratic regulator problem is used to design the control system that make the step/ramp response of the plant kept close to a specified ideal step/ramp response of the model. The quadratic criterion function for a continuous system is used to design the robust digital servo control system. The feasibility of the design technique is shown by the simulation and the proposed method is applied to the speed control of DC servo motor.
