  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between hours of sleep and periodontal diseases among adolescents based on the raw materials of the 5th third-year(2012) national health and nutrition examination survey. The subjects in this study were 593 selected teens who were at the western ages of 12 to 18. SPSS 18.0 for Windows was used to analyze general characteristics, health behavior, oral health care, mental health, and relationship of sleep duration to periodontal disease. As a result, the groups of adolescents who were older and whose household income was larger slept for less hours, and higher toothbrushing frequencies led to more hours of sleep. There were 2.28-fold more periodontal diseases in the group that got five or less hours of sleep than in the group that got eight or more hours of sleep. The above-mentioned findings of the study illustrated that insufficient sleep is linked to periodontal health in adolescence.

Data were collected 147 caregivers who worked in long term care centers. The self-report questionnaire was used for data analysis. SPSS Win. 21.0 was used to analyze data via descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The mean score of dementia knowledge was $20.18{\pm}3.58$ out of 30, and the means of empathy was $82.12{\pm}9.68$ out of 105 and the means of dementia attitudes was $96.45{\pm}13.72$ out of 140. Attitudes toward dementia in caregivers differed significantly depending on their age, motivation of job. Attitudes also had a positive correlation with dementia knowledge and empathy. • Mobile's health care and diagnostic capabilities are accepted as the most innovative sectors, and the combination with wearable device is being predicted as the future's most promising industries. However, the level of consumer acceptance and utilization is still insufficient compared to the development of technology. This study explores the use intention of wearable device based on previous studies about health apps. In particular, health-related use efficacy of the app, app use intention and app satisfaction are analyzed through a structural equation model. The use of health-related apps revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship with the use of the wearable device. The results suggest that the importance of app use efficacy, satisfaction, apps use should be considered for the successful diffusion of wearable health devices.

We investigated the vessels contracted by concentrations and safety assessment carried out by the cell viability of Taraaci Herba, Cnidii Rhizoma, Citri Percarpium, and Ophiopoginis Radix composition and concentration. We found cell survival rate was higher than the control group, showing a beneficial trend in the growth of normal liver and kidney cells. As a result, this study will be the basis to develop the health tea differentiated in the future Chinese medicine resources. Medicinal resources will be health tea based on clinical trials utilizing herbal western and oriental medicine convergence principle and vascular relaxation mechanism. And this study tried to make health tea industrialization possible.

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out family member's perceptions of side rail use in geriatric hospital by Cavanagh's content analysis with in-depth interview. This finding of the study suggests that the six themes of these perceptions are precautionary safety supervision, movement convenience, ritualistic nursing, physical restraint, danger of wounds, and alternative methods in an older person ward, and that the cause of recognized perceptions is not based on actual events, but rather on relatives' perceived protective value. With the transition of medical industry environment, there is a significant emphasis on efficacy and effectiveness of practice, risk management and evidence-based practice. However, the issue of side rail use and physical restraints remains unsolved in care of older people. Nurses claim the necessity of regimented protocol and clarification from professional organization regarding the side rail use.
