Circular Polarization Dielectric Resonator Antenna Excited by Single Loop Feed

  • A new feeding method for the circular polarization (CP) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is proposed in this letter. Two orthogonal modes (${TE^x}_{{\delta}11}$, ${TE^y}_{1{\delta}1$) of the rectangular DRA are excited by a $90^{\circ}$ phase difference of the differential and common modes currents of the proposed feeding structure. To demonstrate the good CP performance of the proposed method, a right-hand CP DRA for a global positioning system was designed. The impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna for $S_{11}$ < -10 dB and 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth are about 5.4% and 1.95% at 1.57 GHz, respectively.

Combined GPS/GLONASS Relative Receiver DCB Estimation Using the LSQ Method and Ionospheric TEC Changes over South Korea

  • The use of dual-frequency measurements from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) enables us to observe precise ionospheric total electron content (TEC). Currently, many GNSS reference stations in South Korea provide both GPS and GLONASS data. In the present study, we estimated the grid-based TEC values and relative receiver differential code biases (DCB) from a GNSS network operated by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute. In addition, we compared the diurnal variations in a TEC time series from solutions of the GPS only, the GLONASS only, and combined GPS/GLONASS processing. A significant difference between the GPS only TEC and combined GPS/GLONASS TEC at a specific grid point over South Korea appeared near the solar terminator. It is noted that GLONASS measurements can contribute to observing a variation in ionospheric TEC over high latitude regions.

정밀항법 시스템 설계 및 알고리즘 검증 (Design and Algorithm Verification of Precision Navigation System)

  • As GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) is used in various filed, many countries establish GNSS system independently. But GNSS system has the limitation of accuracy and stability in stand-alone mode, because this system has error elements which are ionospheric delay, tropospheric delay, orbit ephemeris error, satellite clock error, and etc. For overcome of accuracy limitation, the DGPS(Differential GPS) and RTK(Real-Time Kinematic) systems are proposed. These systems perform relative positioning using the reference and user receivers. ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) is developing precision navigation system in point of extension of GNSS usage. The precision navigation system is for providing the precision navigation solution to common users. If this technology is developed, GNSS system can be used in the fields which require precision positioning and control. In this paper, we introduce the precision navigation system and perform design and algorithm verification.

현대 패션의 일본적 디자인 특성과 이미지 구성요인 (A Study on the Characteristic and Composition Factor of Contemporary Japanese Costume Design)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristic and composition factor of Japanese costume design. The stimulus were 25 contemporary costume design which represented the traditional image of Japanese. The main survey of questionary consisted of their evaluation of the Japanese costume image by 26 semantic differential bipolar scales and the subjects were 99 female students majoring in clothing and textiles. The data were analyzed by Factor analysis, Multidimensional Scaling Method and Regression Analysis. The major findings were as follows. As a result of design analysis, contemporary Japanese costume design which represented the traditional image had traditional form, color, texture, pattern, etc. Through factor analysis about Japanese costume image 7 factors were identified; Attractiveness, Attention, Cool and warm, Neatness, Activeness, Maturity, Classics. According to image positioning, Japanese costume design was classified by simple-decorative, soft-hard. As the result of regression analysis, The preference of Japanese costume image was related to attractive factor.

다중빔을 이용한 광 저장 장치에 관한 연구 (Study on a Optical Storage Device Based on Multi-beam)

  • A new multi-beam optical system is presented on the grounds of tri-positioning systems in this paper. The system has been developed to improve the data transfer rate for the optical disk system. The actuating system is composed of a tracking and focusing actuating system basically and a newly developed beam rotating actuator. The beam rotating actuator is employed in a multi-beam optical system to trace more than one track simultaneously. The multi-beam optics is established through the optical simulation and several experimental trials. The differential phase tracking method is used in the tracking error signal detection based on the only one beam spot. We also analyze the characteristics of multi-beam optical system. The experimental result shows that the multi-beam positioning system has performance adequate to the multi-beam optical disk system.

Measurement and Analysis of the Korean NDGPS Radiation Spectrum

  • The Korean nationwide differential global positioning system (NDGPS) reference station transmits a global positioning system (GPS) enhancement signal using minimum shift keying modulation with a 200 bps data rate. The ocean-based DGPS covers the service area of 100 NM with 300 W output power; on the other hand, the land-based DGPS transmits the output power of 500 W, which covers the service area of 100 km. The DGPS reference stations with high output power can radiate spurious signals, which may act as interference sources affecting the other DGPS reference stations or the wireless ground stations that utilize the medium frequency band. In this paper, the radiation spectrums of the DGPS reference stations are measured and analyzed in the spurious domain. The DGPS radiation spectrums are evaluated from the perspective of the interference effect.

  • DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System) and RTK(RealTime Kinematic) is in one of today's most widely used surveying techniques. But It's use is restricted by the distance between reference station and rover station and it is difficult to process data in realtime by it's own orgnizational limitation in precise measurement of positioning. To meet these new demands, In This paper, new DGPS and RTK correction data services through Internet and PSTN(Public Switched Telephony Network) have been proposed. For this purpose, we implemented performance a DGPS and RTK error correction data transmission system for long-distance using the internet and PSTN network which allows a mobile user to increase the distance at which the rover receiver is located from the reference in realtime. and we analyzed and compared DGPS and RTK performance by experiments through the Internet and PSTN network with the distance and the time.

  • GPS의 이동측량 방법을 사용하여 위치정보와 속성정보를 취득하는 경우, 대상지의 지형학적 위치와 여러가지 오차요인에 의해 이상점이 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 절사평균 방법과 1차 미분을 이용한 이상점 검출 알고리즘을 작성하고, 선형보간법과 다항식보간법을 사용하여 이상점 보간을 하였다. 또한 정확하게 보간된 데이터를 이용하여 국도 30 km구간에 대해 수치지도를 제작하였으며 수치지도를 제작하는 과정에서 발생될 수 있는 문제점들을 고찰하고 문제점들의 해결을 통해 정확한 GIS 커버리지 맵을 작성하였다.

DGPS를 이용한 VMS 메시지 판독거리 모형개발 (Development of Legibility Distance Model for VMS Messages using In-Vehicle DGPS Data)

  • 도로전광표지(VMS: Variable Message Signs)는 지능형교통체계(ITS: Intelligent Transport Systems)를 구성하는 주요 서브시스템 중의 하나로서, 불특정 다수를 대상으로 실시간 교통소통 및 돌발상황 정보를 제공해 주는 유용한 기능을 수행한다. VMS에서 표출되는 교통정보는 운전자가 보다 쉽게 이해하고, 눈에 잘 띄고, 적정거리 내에서 판독하기 쉬워야 하는 조건을 만족 시켜야 한다. VMS 판독거리 (Legibility Distance)는 운전자가 VMS 메시지의 문자를 읽기 시작할 수 있는 지점에서 해당 VMS의 설치지점간의 거리를 의미하는데, 도로 및 교통여건, 운전자 특성 등을 고려한 적정 판독거리의 산정은 차량의 주행속도, VMS 메시지 정보량 등과 함께 효과적인 VMS 메시지의 설계 및 운영을 위한 필수조건이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 실제 도로교통환경에 노출된 운전자의 작업부하를 고려한 보다 현실적인 판독거리 추정모형을 개발하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울시 도시고속도로, 영동 및 경부고속도로에 설치된 27개 VMS에 대한 운전자의 판독거리, VMS 메시지 특성, 운전자 특성, 도로기하구조 및 교통특성 등의 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 실제 주행환경에서 운전자의 판독위치 수집을 위해서는 DGPS(Differential Global Positioning System)장비를 이용하였다. 본 연구의 결과물인 판독거리 모형은 VMS 메시지 설계 및 운영을 위한 기본도구로서 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • A dead reckoning navigation system is developed for autonomous mobile robot localization. The navigation system was implemented by novel sensor fusion using a Kalman filter. A differential encoder and the gyroscope error models are developed for the filter. An indirect Kalman filter scheme is adopted to reduce the computational burden and to enhance the navigation system reliability. The filter mutually compensates the encoder errors and the gyroscope errors. The experimental results show that the proposed mobile . robot navigation algorithm provides the reliable position and heading angle of the mobile robot without any help of the external positioning systems.
