Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the improvement of a patient who had a postpartum disease treated with herb medication based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions', the patient was diagnosed with TaeYang-byung, number 12 provision, and was administered herb medication for 4 months. Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) was used to estimate the patient's status. Results : The VAS changed 10 to 0. These results suggest that cold pain and weakness in the legs have improved. Conclusions : The patient had an experience of miscarriage 3 times and finally got a baby but with postpartum disease. She treated with the herb medication for 4 months and the outcome was found effective and economical due to the diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions.

Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the effect of Daehamhyung-tang(DHHT) on tinnitus with panic disorder from the disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to a disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was diagnosed with 'Taeyang-byung Gyeolhyung'. He took DHHT for 82 days. This paper evaluated the results of treatment on tinnitus by Tinnitus Handicap Inventory(THI) and Verbal Numercial Rating Scale(VNRS). To assess the mental state of anxiety, this paper used Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale(HAM-A) Results : The THI score was declined from 58 to 6 And the VNRS score was declined from 6 to 1. HAM-A score was declined from 28 to 3. Conclusions : This case study suggests that DHHT has effectiveness on a patient suffers from tinnitus with panic disorder and diagnosed with 'Taeyang-byung Gyeolhyung'.

Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the effect of Danggwihweyeokgaohsuyu-saenggang-tang(DHGOST) on primary dysmenorrhea from the disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to a disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, the patient was diagnosed with 'Reverting Yin Disease'. She took DHGOST for 75 days. This paper evaluated the results of treatment by Measure of Menstrual Pain(MMP) and Menstrual Symptom Severity List(MMSL) Results : The MMP score was declined from 8.3 to 3.5. And the MMSL score was declined from 46 to 38. Conclusions : This case study suggests that DHGOST has effectiveness on primary dysmenorrhea who is diagnosed with 'Reverting Yin Disease'.

Objective : This case report presents the effect of Soshiho-tang on Atopic Dermatitis. The patient was diagnosed with Yangmyung-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to Shanghanlun six meridian patterns diagnostic system, we dianosed the patient as Yangmyung-byung and he had trouble getting out of bed and nighttime itch. The patient was treated with Soshiho-tang. We evaluated the results of treatment by Objective SCORAD Index and pictures. Results : After the treatment, Objective SCORAD Index decreased from 61 to 21.5. And he became to have no trouble in getting up and also nighttime itch vanished. Conclusions : This case report sowed and effectiveness of using Soshiho-tang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on Atopic Dermatitis.

Objective : This study is to report four cases complaining of neck pain that diagnosed by Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system and treated with the Shanghanlun Shaozhen(燒針) provision herbal medicine. Methods : Based on the Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system, we analyzed four cases treated with Shanghanlun Shaozhen(燒針) provision herbal medicine. Results : In all cases, the NDI and NRS score improved. Conclusions : In Shanghanlun, Shaozhen(燒針) may indicate neck pain. And neck pain can be relieved by administering Shanghanlun Shaozhen(燒針) provision herbal medicine.

Objective: The purpose of this paper is to report the improvement in a patient with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) treated with herbal medication based on the Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods: According to the 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions,'the patient was diagnosed with Guorem-byung number 350 provision, and took Baekho-tang herbal medication for 15 days. The result of administration was evaluated using the Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Results: After administration of Baekho-tang for 15 days, based on the 350 provision of Baekho-tang diagnosed according to the Shanghanlun provisions, the DHI score decreased from 74 to 16 and the VAS score decreased from 10 to 1. Conclusions: The patient recovered from symptoms of BPPV. This case report suggests that the words '滑,''厥,''裏'on the 350 provision of Shanghanlun mean physical and psychological causes of BPPV in this case.

Objective : This study reports the effect of Bekhogainsam-tang on psoriasis. Methods : This is a case report on a patient who has been suffering from psorasis. According to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, Bekhogainsam-tang was provided for 47 days. The severity of psoriasis was evaluated by PASI score and pictures. Results : After taking Bekhogainsam-tang for 47 days, PASI score decreased $1.4{\rightarrow}0.2$ Conclusions : This case report showed an effectiveness of using Bekhogainsam-tang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on psoriasis.

Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the improvement of patient with pitting edema treated by herb medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : According to 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions', the patient was diagnosed with Taeyang-byung, number 96 provision, and took Soshiho-tang herb medication 30days. The changing symptom of pitting edema is reported depended on the edema scale and the statement of patient during treatment. Results : The pitting edema of patient disappeared by 96 provision of Soshiho-tang seclected according to Shanghanlun provisions. Conclusions : This case report suggests that two words on the 96 provision of Shanghanlun, '或 心下悸, 小便不利'(palpitations below the heart, inhibited urination) indcate close relationship between palpitation and decrease of genital secretions, which affected the edema in this case.

Objective : This study aimed to report the improvement of two patients with headache not otherwise classified treated using Saengkangsasim-tang based on the disease pattern identification diagnostic system (DPIDS) based on the Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : Two patients with headache not otherwise classified were treated using Saengkangsasim-tang according to Shanghanlun provisions, and the effect was also compared with Soshiho-tang. The results were evaluated using a numerical rating scale (NRS) and the Korea Headache Impact Test-6 (KHIT-6). In addition, new clinical implications for the interpretation of Shanghanlun provision 157 were reviewed. Results : As a result of analyzing the results of the two cases, treatment with Sosiho-tang was ineffective but improved when using Saengkangsasim-tang. After administration of Saengkangsasim-tang, all headaches decreased to the point where they were not uncomfortable in everyday life. Conclusions : The administration of Saengkangsasim-tang to patients with headache diagnosed according to Shanghanlun provision 157, suggesting that it is clinically effective when applied according to the definitions provided by the Shanghanlun provisions.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the improvement of patient with Dyshidrotic Eczema treated by herbal medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : According to 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions', the patient diagnosed as 'Jueyinbing Huoluan' number 388 provision and took herbal medication Hoiyeok-tang for 28days. The changing symptom progress of Dyshidrotic Eczema was evaluated by DLQI(Dermatology Life Quality Index) and VAS(Visual Analogue Scale). Results : The DLQI score changed 24 to 0 and VAS changed 8 to 0. Conclusions : Patient who suffered from Dyshidrotic Eczema caused by concentrating on sophisticated work using her eyes and hands was treated by Hoiyeok-tang in Shanghanlun. Skin disease on hands or feet can be closely related to conception of 手足厥 in Shanghanlun. Further studies are needed to validate the conception of 手足厥 and the effects of Hoiyeok-tang.
