  • To investigate SPICE noise model and the behavior of its parameters, 1/f noise of NMOS devices fabricated by BiCMOS process is measured and compared to the various noise models and measured results. For the long channel devices, bias dependence of the drain current noise power spectral density $S_{Id}$ of NMOS is similar to the previous results. Equivalent gate noise power spectral density $S_{Vg}$ shows weak dependence on the gate and drain voltages in long channel NMOS as the previous results. However, it is shown that most of published noise models are difficult to apply to short channel devices. Therefore, in this study, with comparison of our experimental results, we have tried to find the model of 1/f noise, appropriate for our NMOS device fabricated by BiCMOS process.

  • In the future Network Centric Warfare(NCW), changing to IPv6 based network environment is required to enable various future technologies such as the Internet of Things(IoT) and cloud technology which are expected to be introduced to the tactical network evolution. With the change to the IPv6 network, an ID/LOC(Identifier/Location) separation protocol that decomposes context of the IP address to location and identifier can enhance network capacity of increasing number of device and provide efficient mobility management in the tactical network that changes topology dynamically. In this paper, we choose ILNP(Identifier-Locator Network Protocol) as an ID/LOC separation for tactical network environment. In addition to ILNP-based tactical network design, this paper proposes a network-based mobility management scheme for providing efficient mobility management. Through numerical performance analysis, we show that the proposed scheme can reduce network loads more effectively than the conventional IP-based mobility management scheme and common handover procedure in ILNP.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of gum elastic bougies for intubation in comparison to stylet according to airway type using a manikin. Methods: The study subjects were 52 paramedic students who intubated using a Macintosh laryngoscope and compared stylet and gum elastic bougie use in a 7.5 mmID endotracheal tube, on a manikin with either normal or difficult airway. Difficult airway was made Philadelphia neck collar. Collected data included intubation time, accuracy and ease of intubation, later analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, independent t-test, chi square test, paired t-test, and McNemar test using SPSS Statistics 18.0. Results: There was a significant difference in intubation time according to intubation device and airway type (p=.000). There was no significant difference in accuracy of intubation according to intubation device or airway type (normal airway p=1.000, difficult airway p=.052). There was a significant difference in ease of intubation scale according to intubation device and airway type (p=.000, p=.000). Conclusion: Based on the speed and ease of intubation, gum elastic bougie is recommended for intubation in patients with difficult airways such as those with cervical injury.

  • In modern society, as the rapid development of IT technology combined with the computer-based high-speed communication networks makes it possible to provide a wide spectrum of services and devices, we have been confronting a new cultural transformation era, referred to as the information society. However, the requirements to be considered in security aspect have became more complicated and diversified, and there remains the same security weaknesses as in the existing media or protocol. Particularly, the office network device with roaming is susceptible to the different kinds of attacks such as terminal hacking, virus attacks, and information leakage because the computing capacity is relatively low and the loading of already developed security functions is difficult. Although developed as one solution to this problems, PKI security authentication technology isn't suitable for multi-domain environments providing uonments proffice network service, and so the development of a novel authentication system is needed. Therefore, in this paper researched the roaming and device authentication/auth for multitechnology using an ID-based public key, authorization ticket, and Sub-device ticket with a purpose to contribute to the development of the secured and efficient technology.

  • Characteristics of NMOS transistors with phosphorus source/drain junctions formed by two-step rapid thermal diffusion (RTD) process using a solid diffusion source have been investigated. Phosphorus profiles after RTD were measured by SIMS analysis. In the case of 1100\ulcorner, 10sec RTD of, P, the specific contact resistance of n+ Si-Al was 2.4x10**-7 \ulcorner-cm\ulcorner which is 1/5 of the As junction The comparison fo P junction devices formed by RTD and conventional As junction devices shows that both short channel effect and hot carrier effect of P junction devices are smaller than those of As junction devices when the devices have same junction depths. P junction device had maximum of 0.4 times lower Isub/Id than As junction device. Characteristics of P junction formed by several different RTD conditions have been compared and 1000\ulcorner RTD sample had the smaller hot carrier generation. Also, it has been shown that the hot carrier generation can be futher reduced by forming the P junctions by 3-step RTD which has RTO-driven-in process additionally.

  • Today many companies introduce new mobile office environments evolved from the recent rapid development in mobile device technologies. Most of the recent mobile office systems use a simple authentication scheme such as ID/Password. This method is easy to use, but it does not consider the user's context. Thus it cannot provide appropriate security service required by the user's proper contexts. Therefore, this paper proposes a context based authentication system which applies security level verification and uses fuzzy algorithm based on the importance of access authority control.

  • This paper proposes a message transfer application using smartphone with NFC(Near Field Communication) and GCM(Goolge Cloud Messaging) technology for prevention of personal information leakage. In implementing for the proposed system, we design a NFC-based vehicle status alerts service which make it possible to communicate with smartpone message without phone-number between a car driver and an unspecified person. The application provides message communication mechanism without exposing the real phone number, using the NFC tag written with the driver's smartphone device ID and GCM push messages. Through the evaluation result of the actual implemented application, the proposed system can be efficient technology in protection for leakage of personal information such as personal phone- number in daily life.

  • This paper proposes a nonlinear impedance circuit composed by diodes and inductors or capacitors. This circuit needs no control circuits and switches, and the impedance .value is changed by the polarity of current or voltage. and this paper presents one of these applications to improve the input current of capacitor input diode rectifiers. The rectifier using the nonlinear impedance circuit id constructed with four diodes and four capacitors in addition to the conventional rectifiers, that is, it has eight diodes and five capacitors, including a DC link capacitor. It makes harmonic components of the input current reduce and the power factor improve. A circuit design method is shown by experimentation and confirmed simulation. It explained that compared conventional pulse width modulated (PWM) inverter with half pulse-width modulated (HPWM) inverter. Proposed HPWM inverter eliminated dead-time by lowering switching loss and holding over-shooting.
