노인종합복지관 급식업무 종사자들의 위생지식 및 수행 평가 (Evaluation of Foodservice Workers' Food Safety Knowledge and Practices at Senior Welfare Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate food safety practices and knowledge of foodservice workers at senior welfare centers. A self-administrated questionnaire was administered to 1200 foodservice workers at senior welfare centers in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi province. Two hundred five responses were returned, with 181 usable for analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS for Windows(ver.14.0). Volunteers of respondents comprised 64.1% while chefs and employees comprised 20.9%. Food safety practices were assessed using a 5-point scale(1: strongly disagree - 5: strongly agree), and the average score of food safety practices was 4.27. For specific practices, 'personal hygiene (4.46)' scored the highest, followed by 'cleaning and sanitizing(4.43)', 'separate handing(4.40)', 'cooking process(4.11)', and 'receiving and storing(4.05)'. There were significant differences in the practice average score by age(p<0.01) and experience of food safety education(p<0.01). The total score for food safety knowledge was 14.43 out of 20 points. In the category of food knowledge, 'equipment and facility(80.5%)' had the highest correct answer rate, followed by 'personnel hygiene(75.9%)', 'cooking process(70.4%)', and 'cleaning sanitizing(65.8%)'. There were significant differences in the knowledge total score by job type(p<0.05), age(p<0.05), working experience(p<0.05), chef certification (p<0.01), and frequency of food safety education(p<0.01). The knowledge and practice scores were significantly correlated(p<0.01). This study suggests that food safety education for foodservice workers should be conducted continuously and repetitively, and the development of proper education materials is needed to improve the effectiveness of food safety education for chefs, employees and volunteers at senior welfare centers.

  • Recently, due to the rapid development of multimedia technologies, as image data has been extensive and large-scaled, the problem of increasing the time needed to retrieve the desired image is gradually critical. Image retrieval system that allows users to quickly and accurately search for the desired image information has been researched for a long time. However, in the case of content-based image retrieval representative Color Histogram, Color Coherence Vectors (CCV), Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) used in sensitive to changes in brightness, rotation, there is a problem that can occur misrecognized division off the power. In this paper, in order to evaluate the video retrieval system proposed, no change in brightness, respectively 0°, 90°, 180°, 270° rotated brightness up based on the case of changing, when the brightness down the results were compared with the performance evaluation of the system is an average of about 2% to provide the difference in performance due to changes in brightness, color histogram is an average of about 12.5%, CCV is an average of about 12.25%, it appeared in the SIFT is an average of about 8.5%, Thus, the proposed system of the variation width of the smallest in average about 2%, was confirmed to be robust to changes in the brightness and rotation than the existing systems.

  • 태양, 파도, 바람 등 친환경 재생에너지원을 이용한 전력 생산 기술이 성숙함에 따라 재생에너지 전력의 경제성과 규모 측면에서 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 특히, 전기화학적인 방법으로 수소를 생산하는 기술은 이러한 재생에너지와 효율적으로 연계될 수 있는 방법 중 하나로 주목받고 있다. 수전해 기술은 작동 온도에 따라서 저온(100 ℃ 이하), 중온(300-700 ℃), 고온(700 ℃ 이상) 수전해로 나눌 수 있으며, 에너지 소비량 및 전압 효율 평가는 열역학 법칙에 따라 계산한다. 그러나 수전해 평가에서 열역학적 전압(thermodynamic voltage)과 열중성 전압(thermo-neutral voltage)의 개념이 혼용되어 사용되고 있다. 본 총설에서는 저온 PEM (proton exchange membrane) 수전해 기술을 바탕으로 작동 전압과 효율 평가에 대한 이해를 높이고, 열역학적 전압과 열중성 전압의 차이점을 명확히 하고자 한다.

Development and Color Evaluation of Working Clothes Designs for Integrated Environment Color Planning in Machinery Industry Sites

  • This study compared the work environment colors and the colors of working clothes by conducting a field survey of domestic machinery manufacturers who are playing a central role in Korean industries so as to develop and evaluate working clothes based on the safety of workers and environmental harmony. For the study method, after the color-related requirements were collected through interviews and field surveys, the fabrics for working clothes were woven and the colors were selected using the requirements. The designs of working clothes were developed with an emphasis on color design. The colors of the working clothes were also analyzed in their relationship to the working environment. The evaluations were separately performed for the appearance and the colors with workers of D machinery manufacturing company. The appearance and color satisfaction, safety, psychology, and harmony with environment were evaluated on a 5-point scale by workers and their safety managers. Furthermore, pictures of the workers in their existing working clothes and the newly developed working clothes were taken with a digital camera while they were working in the field. The RGB values of the pictures were extracted using Photoshop ver. 7.01, which were converted to HVC values using Munsell Conversion ver. 4.0.1. This study found that higher satisfaction levels were shown for the newly developed working clothes compared to the existing ones. The actual measurements also showed that the newly developed had higher brightness and clearer chromatic contrast than the existing ones, indicating higher explicitness and attention for safety of workers. These types of studies can contribute to the integrated working environment plan of machinery manufacturers.

풍력예보를 위한 단순 앙상블예측시스템 - 태풍 볼라벤 사례를 통한 평가 - (A Simple Ensemble Prediction System for Wind Power Forecasting - Evaluation by Typhoon Bolaven Case -)

  • A simple but practical Ensemble Prediction System(EPS) for wind power forecasting was developed and evaluated using the measurement of the offshore meteorological tower, HeMOSU-1(Herald of Meteorological and Oceanographic Special Unite-1) installed at the Southwest Offshore in South Korea. The EPS developed by the Korea Institute of Energy Research is based on a simple ensemble mean of two Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP) models, WRF-NMM and WRF-ARW. In addition, the Kalman Filter is applied for real-time quality improvement of wind ensembles. All forecasts with EPS were analyzed in comparison with the HeMOSU-1 measurements at 97 m above sea level during Typhoon Bolaven episode in August 2012. The results indicate that EPS was in the best agreement with the in-situ measurement regarding (peak) wind speed and cut-out speed incidence. The RMSE of wind speed was 1.44 m/s while the incidence time lag of cut-out wind speed was 0 hour, which means that the EPS properly predicted a development and its movement. The duration of cut-out wind speed period by the EPS was also acceptable. This study is anticipated to provide a useful quantitative guide and information for a large-scale offshore wind farm operation in the decision making of wind turbine control especially during a typhoon episode.

경안천 유역 수질 및 이행평가 자료를 통한 임의적 오염총량관리제도 시행의 성과 분석 (Effects of the Voluntary Scheme of Total Maximum Daily Load based on Water Quality and Annual Evaluation data in the Gyeongan Watershed, South Korea)

  • This study presents the achievements and limitations of the voluntary-based Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) through statistical analysis of water quality monitoring data and performance assessments of TMDL plans implemented in the Gyeongan watershed. The results clearly showed that responsible local governments complied the allocated TMDL and the designated water quality goals were successfully achieved in the required period. This was possible because the Ministry of Environment provided innovative incentives, such as, relaxations of the existing tight land-use regulations and full-scale financial aids for constructing and operating public treatment facilities to draw local government voluntary participation. However, a couple of problems which decreased the effectiveness and efficiency of the voluntary TMDL were identified. The different TMDL implementation schedules between upstream (Yongin) and downstream (Gwangju) governments caused delay in water quality improvement and exaggerated TMDL allocation to the local development which made excessive investment in the treatment facilities. Although it is not directly related to the voluntary scheme, technical methods for establishing and assessing the water quality goals should be improved so that the effects of flow conditions on water quality are properly assessed. We expect that results of this case study contribute to developing a more effective voluntary-based scheme for the implementation of the so-called 'tributary TMDL' in the future.

효소 반응 예측을 위한 유사도 모델 분석 및 구현 (Similarity Model Analysis and Implementation for Enzyme Reaction Prediction)

  • 빅데이터에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 데이터로부터 의미 있는 정보의 추출 및 예측은 중요한 연구분야가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 신약개발과정에서 필요한 후보약물의 약리적인 활성을 분석하기 위한 데이터를 획득하고 이를 기반으로 의미 있는 예측 분석을 하고자 한다. 신약개발과정에서 대사반응 된 신약후보물질의 약리적인 활성 연구는 신약개발 성공률을 높이기 위해 필요한 단계이다. 본 연구에서, 약용 후보물질의 체내 효소 반응 유무를 예측하기 위해, 유사도 모델들을 적용 분석하였다. 유사도 모델의 군집별 특성을 반영하여 13개의 모델을 선택하여 효소 반응 예측을 수행하였다. 이들 모델들을 민감도와 AUC를 기반으로 비교 평가하였다. 평가 모델들 중, 효소 사이의 반응성을 예측하는데 있어서 Simpson coefficient 모델이 가장 좋은 성능을 보였다. 분석된 유사도 모델 전체를 웹 서비스로 구축하였다. 제안된 모델은 반응정보의 추가에 동적으로 대응 할 수 있으며 신약개발시간 단축 및 비용 절감에 기여할 것으로 여겨진다.

국내 휴대폰 브랜드의 감성 이미지 비교 (The comparison of emotional brand image of the domestic mobile phones)

  • 새로운 기술의 발달과 소비자들의 다양한 요구로 인해 기업들은 소비자들의 시선을 끌기 위해 다양한 차별화 전략을 고심하고 있다. 제품의 아이덴티티나 브랜드 이미지 또한 이러한 차별화 전략 중의 하나로 제품에 새로운 가치를 부여하는 주요한 수단이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 소비자에게 형성된 브랜드 이미지 중에서 제품을 사용하면서 형성된 감성적인 이미지를 브랜드 감성 이미지라고 정의하고, 사용자가 제품을 사용하면서 느끼는 여섯 가지 대표감성을 평가하여 국내 대표 휴대폰 브랜드 세 개(A브랜드, C브랜드, S브랜드)의 감성 이미지를 비교해 보았다. 휴대폰을 실제 사용하고 있는 사용자들이 휴대폰을 사용하면서 느꼈던 감성을 평가해 봄으로써 국내 휴대폰 브랜드의 이미지, 특히 감성적인 측면에서의 이미지를 평가해 볼 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과만으로 성급하게 국내 휴대폰 브랜드의 감성 이미지를 규명하기에는 다소 미흡하지만 향후 연령대, 직업, 성비 등 다양한 인구통계학적 변수를 고려하여 연구를 진행한다면 보다 명확한 브랜드 감성 이미지를 추출할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

Development and Evaluation of a Hospice and Palliative Care Music Therapy Education Program

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a hospice music therapist training program and to evaluate its effects. Methods: The educational program consisted of training on the theory of hospice and the theory and practice of hospice music therapy. The course lasted for 4 weeks, with 8 hours of training per week, and 33 music therapists completed the course. In order to assess the effectiveness of the course, participants' knowledge and confidence regarding hospice music therapy and readiness for hospice music therapy before and after education were measured. The statistical analysis was done using SPSS version 18.0 and the paired t-test was used to assess the effectiveness of the program. Results: The trainees showed significant improvements in knowledge (P<0.001) and confidence (P<0.001) in all areas of this course, as well as in readiness for hospice music therapy (P<0.001). Participants' satisfaction with the lectures was assessed using a 5-point Likert scale. The average score for all lecture areas exceeded 4 (yes), and the satisfaction level was mostly high. Students were most satisfied with the lectures on music therapy theory, followed in order by those on music therapy practice and hospice theory. Conclusion: This hospice music therapist training program is considered to be suitable because of its positive educational effects and the high satisfaction of participants with the lectures. In order to provide high-quality music therapy services to patients and their families, this training course should be regularly offered to cultivate competent music therapists, and the content of the education should be standardized and applied in various clinical settings.

원위치 X-ray CT 촬영이 가능한 암석의 수리-역학 실험용 삼축셀 개발 (Development of Triaxial Cells Operable with In Situ X-ray CT for Hydro-Mechanical Laboratory Testing of Rocks)

  • X-ray CT는 암석시편의 공극 및 균열과 같은 내부 미세구조와 손상들의 정량적 분석에 활용되어 왔다. 원위치 CT는 외력 등 다양한 외적 요인에 영향을 받고 있는 암석 시편의 내외부 변화 과정을 관찰할 수 있게 해준다. 이의 확인을 위해, 암반/지반재료 특성분석에 활용한 원위치 X-ray CT 기술에 관한 최신 연구동향을 파악하였으며, 원위치 CT이미징이 가능한 암석의 수리-역학적 실험용 삼축셀을 개발하였다. 직경 25~50 mm 화강암 및 사암 코아시편의 원위치 CT이미징이 성공적으로 진행되었으며, 34~105 ㎛ 범위의 픽셀피치의 해상도를 취득할 수 있었다. 본 사전검토 촬영 실험을 통해 마이크로미터 스케일에서 암석의 내부구조 변화의 원위치 CT관찰이 가능한 것을 파악하였다. 요오드화 칼륨 용액은 CT이미지의 대비를 증가시키고 암석의 수리-역학 실험에서 주입유체로 사용할 수 있다.
