Impact of Digital Technology on the Art Museum Industry's Business Model

  • Digital technology has now pervaded and become an inseparable part of our daily life. The art museum sector is evolving into a business model that adapts to the new digital format due to the requirement for survival and development. This study examines the development state of China's art museum industry and investigates the current business model innovation trend in the art museum industry from three perspectives: reorganization and development of the art museum industry's business model theory; reconstruction of the art museum industry's display and marketing logic; and innovation of the art museum industry's operation mechanism, based on a systematic assessment of domestic and international research. This research can provide reference value for digital technology to drive the innovation of business model in art museum industry. Moreover, the study has important reference significance for the development strategy of art museum industry.

The Semiconductor Industry and High-Quality Economic Development: An International Perspective

  • Purpose - This paper is an empirical investigation of the mediation effect of innovation activity in industry transformation considering the relationship between the semiconductor industry and high-quality economic development. The research questions are whether the semiconductor industry drives high-quality economic development and if so, what is the semiconductor industry's role in high-quality development? We found that the semiconductor industry has clearly improved the quality of economic development, and its comparative advantage has significantly increased per capita national incomes. Furthermore, innovation activity proved to be an intermediary factor for the semiconductor industry to promote high-quality economic development. The world economy should aim to reasonably develop the international semiconductor industry and cultivate innovation markets. Design/methodology - Our empirical model considers the relationship between the semiconductor industry, innovation activity, and high-quality economic development. We constructed an analysis framework based on data from 199 World Bank economies between 1995 and 2019, and we used a mediation effect method to calculate the total effect of the semiconductor industry on promoting high-quality economic development, the indirect effect of the semiconductor industry on promoting innovation activity, and the mediation effect of these innovation activities on the promotion of high-quality economic development. Findings - The results show that the semiconductor industry has significantly promoted high-quality economic development. This is true even after the robustness test of grouping and alternative variables was applied. An analysis of the mechanism shows that promoting patents, scientific research, efficient government, and urban management innovation are important mechanisms for the semiconductor industry to release high-quality development dividends. Originality/value - Although it has been shown that specific industries like semiconductors can affect high-quality economic development through industrial upgrading, few researchers have attempted to empirically test the impact of the semiconductor industry on high-quality economic development. In this paper, we use a mediation effect model, alternative variables and a grouping test to find the internal mechanisms of the comparative advantage of the semiconductor industry in high-quality economic development from the perspective of innovation activity.

Research and Development of Korea B(Benefit)-impact Model for Sustainable Development - in Case of Construction Sector -

  • The purpose of this study is to research and development of 'Korea B(Benefit)-impact Model' for Sustainable Development. A concept evaluation model is 'B(Benefit)-impact model' in U.S.A. We use the results of surveys that examined the importance of social value issues to stakeholders in Korea to implement the benefit-impact model in Korea. In particular, in this paper, we use the KSI(Korean Sustainability Index) survey data conducted by the Korea Standards Association to evaluate the social value of the construction industry for representative stakeholders in the construction industry. The social value pool and the activity indicator pool used for the survey are created based on relevant International Standards; ISO 26000, ISO 14001, ISO 37001. As a result, Korea B-impact model for construction industry included the following five core social value issues; Strengthen transparency of corporate management, Ensure fair employment and employment relations, Efforts to prevent corruption, Conduct fair competition, Efforts to prevent environmental pollution. In addition, the US B-impact model has three limitations. First, it is unclear whether the key indicators have been derived while considering all issues of social value. Second, US B-impact model indicators are developed by the social responsibility experts, so it is necessary to review by stakeholders in each industry. Finally, it would be more effective for companies to use the B-impact model index as a more detailed activity indicator. When developing a Korea B-impact model, the following methods are used to supplement it. First, we reviewed all social value issues using international standards. Secondly, we used the KSI(Korean Sustainability index) survey results to derive the importance of the social value issue of construction industry in Korea. Finally, we have clearly matched the activity indicators by social value core issues based on the GRI Standard so that companies can actually use the Korea B-impact model for the construction sector. The History of the Auto Industry in South Korea based on Double Helix Model

  • The South Korean automotive industry has been the major producer for both domestic and international market. This rises of the South Korean automotive industry has resulted in combination various factors ranging from government policies and the foreign investment. The Double Helix model provides a comprehensive and useful framework to understand how these factors have interacted to shape the history of the auto industry of South Korea. This research aims to provide the history of the Auto Industry in Korea based on the Double Helix Model. To collect textual literature dataset, the present author tried to screen and select adequate prior studies in the past and current literature to achieve the purpose of the study. According to the literature analysis, the history of the automotive industry in South Korea is an interesting case in the successful implementation of the Double Helix model. The model emphasizes the collaboration between the government and the private sector in achieving common goals. This research founded the four historical events of the development of the South Korean automotive industry based on the Double Helix Models. In sum, the research concludes that the Double Helix Model is an essential tool for understanding the historical development of the auto industry in South Korea.

  • 단일 드럼형 보일러를 갖는 발전 플랜트의 동특성 해석을 위한 프로세스 모델이 모듈 개념을 기반으로 묘사된다. 현재의 프로세스 모델은 플랜트 전체 구성 요소 및 고부하에서의 부하 변동을 포함하며 lumped parameter에 의해 물리적으로 접근된다. 플랜트 성분을 의미하는 모듈은 필수적으로 성분 특성을 잘 묘사하며 사용자에 의해 결정된 배열에 대해 압력점 방식에 의해 상호 연결된다. 프로세스 모델의 발전 플랜트 시스템에 대한 적용성 여부를 조사하기 위해 100MW발전 플랜트의 실제 운전 LOG-IC을 갖는 제어 시스템에 연결하여 3MW/min 부하 변동율로 75MW에서 95MW, 95MW에서 75MW조건에 대해 조사된다.

Research on Development Strategy of China Ice-Snow Sports Tourism Industry Based on SWOT-AHP Model-Case Study on Zhangjiakou

  • Industrial integration is the innovative embodiment of regional economic theory. The promotion of industrial integration is conducive to improving the scale effect and spillover effect of the industry. Also, it has the power to radiate, drive, and lead the innovation and development of the whole industrial cluster. The purpose of this paper was to identify the most suitable development pattern of the ice-snow sports tourism industry in Zhangjiakou, one of the host cities of the 2022 Winter Olympics. This study combs the characteristics of the development of the ice-snow sports industry, and analyzes the current situation of the industry in Zhangjiakou based on the SWOT-AHP method. This paper argues that the integrated industry is the most suitable development pattern for the promotion of the ice-snow culture industry in Zhangjiakou. The following content will present effective countermeasures to accelerate the development of the ice-snow culture industry integration in Zhangjiakou from three aspects: industrial resource integration, industrial chain layout, and scientific and technological innovation. The IT live simulation technique facilitates identifying some vital elements during the data collection.

Importance of Clusters in Industry Development: A Case of Singapore's Petrochemical Industry

  • This paper rejuvenates the existing discussion on the importance of cluster approach to industry development strategies. Current evidences suggest that the shape of economic policy and practice is changing significantly around the world. Governments continually search for new tools and policy formulas to improve economic performance and create economic prosperity for all citizens. In this context a more proactive and strategic role for government in support of the cluster-based economic development model has emerged. This paper uses Singapore's petrochemical industry as an example to study the cluster approach to industry development. In doing so, there is much optimism to the importance of state and its institutions to play a significant role on industry development. Nevertheless, the study also raises doubts on whether the cluster-based strategy is due to the concept itself or due to other important factors.

Construction Industry Maturity Model

  • Construction industry is one of the most significant sector in national economic, but the portion of construction has been falling regularly with the regional development. In spite of decrease in economic portion, role of construction industry does not changed irrespective of development, as the foundation of development. To distinguish each state of the maturity, countries are grouped on GDP per capita, than compared with variance of GVA in construction and GFCF per GDP as level of construction industry. GVAc% and GFCF% shows corn-shaped plotting in increase of GDP per capita, and each value converge to around 20% and 5% as GDP per capita increase. The definition of maturity is consist of 4 stages; pre-developing, ascending, stabilization, and maturement. Maturity of construction industry is a term of broad sense of construction industry that is easily to figure current state of regional construction and shows what normal condition of construction is in regional economy.

인터넷미디어산업의 발전요인 분석 (An Analysis on the Development Factor of Internet Media Industry)

  • 본 논문은 인터넷미디어산업의 발전요인을 분석한 연구로, 이 산업의 발전요인을 포괄적으로 설명할 수 있는 이론적 모형을 제시하고 이를 설문분석을 통해 확인한 것이다. 설문은 정책/기술/시장/기업/수익 요인 등 5개 분야에 걸쳐 촉진요인과 장애요인으로 구분하여 이루어졌다. 한편 각 요인과 이에 속한 항목들의 객관성을 확인하기 위해 응답에 근거해 인자분석을 시도하였고, 본 논문에서 제시한 5개 요인이 유용한 것으로 확인되었다. 이 산업의 발전은 기업요인과 수익요인 등 기업내적인 요인(41.3%), 기술/정책요인(37.6%)과 시장요인(21.0%)에 의해 영향 받는 것으로 파악되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 미래 전파산업의 활성화를 위한 정책 방향을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현재 진행되고 있는 전파 기술과 응용서비스의 발전에 따라 변화하는 전파산업의 개념과 구조를 제시하였다. 또한, 신 성장산업으로서 전파산업의 성장모형을 제시하고, 산업 활성화에 영향을 미치는 정책 요소로서 기술 개발, 서비스 개발, 법제도 개선, 비즈니스 모델 개발, 산업생산/이용지원, 홍보 강화 등을 도출하였다. 이 결과를 이용하여 전파산업의 구조적 특성에 따른 정책 방향에 대한 판단을 위하여 전파산업 활성화를 위한 정책사항에 관한 전문가 인터뷰 조사를 실시하였다. 이들 결과로부터 미래 전파산업 활성화를 위하여 필요한 정책 방향을 제시하였다
