  • Recently, Embedded systems are different with the past as loading of a simple application program that executed specific functions according to the use and are evolved in the digital convergence integrated multimedia functions and then the complication of the application program is remarkably increased. This application program is combined and evolved with many application program in accordance with the demand of the age. For develope and manage this developing application is necessary standardized interface between developer and manager. POSIX was developed as the standard of the operating system in the standard interface which has the open system structure in computing system, and there is a posix.4 to standard for the system demands the loading of real-time operating system like a digital convergence devices. In this paper, we present the contents of designing and implementing the real-time operating system UbiFOSTM to wrapper for supporting the POSIX.4. Also, Experimental results show that implemented wrapper to application program standardizing POSIX.4 in linux and UbiFOSTM is slight only $3{\sim}9{\mu}s$.

  • Forecasting cash flow is very important but is difficult and complicated to analysis in high-rise development projects. And An expected value which was forecasted on the early stage is likely to fluctuate due to uncertainties around such complicated huge project to consider the probable uncertainty. There are not objectified method which are able to cope with uncertainty of project, and feasibility study based on selected financial analysis does not include liquidity of cash flow. Through such a stochastic method, developer can cope with cash flow fluctuation and set up a financial plan. Also this study is meaningful for laying the foundation for high-rise development project and feasibility study as well as the suitability and accuracy of feasibility study. Analysis showed that NPV and IRR include residential apartments shows surplus revenue as return of apartments offset deficit of hotel and office. Factors influencing the project feasibility for high-rise development project are sales account of $1^{st}$ year and annual vacancy rate of office.

  • Although Korean domestic production of flat panel displays totalled more than 48 trillion KRW in 2007, most of the flat panel display wastes have been land-filled or incinerated, which greatly overshadows Korean national prestige as a world leading producer and developer of flat panel display devices. Countries such as Japan or EU possess quite limited land-fill capability and have sought ways to dispose of WEEEs from environment-friendly perspective rather than recovery of valuable materials from the wastes. Considering relatively short cycle of about 5 years for flat panel display devices, it is estimated that more than 5 million units will be accumulated as wastes by 2015. Urban mining is a most suitable countermeasures against China's monopoly of rare and rare earth metals, which are contained in flat panel display wastes. Therefore, materials recycling of waste LCD units has to be developed and commercialized soon enough for economic and environment-friendly recovery of valuable resources hidden in LCD wastes.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze inquiry activities in high school chemistry II textbooks on the revised 2009 curriculum. It also compared them to the textbooks based on the 7th curriculum, which were published by the same companies. The results in this study turned out to be as follows: First, the number of the activities and rate of inquiry activities per total pages were quite different from each publisher, and all of them decreased. Second, there were too many activities for specific inquiry process elements. Third, the types of inquiry activities differ slightly between each publisher. Experimenting and thinking were the most used while practicing was the least. Fourth, in the inquiry context, activities in scientific context were prevalent and activities in usual context were the second most common. Comparing to the text book on the 7th curriculum, the use of technical-social context increased, however, the technical-social context as well as the natural-environmental context were not used enough, as they constitute less than 10% of the activities. From these results, chemistry teachers should introduce a variety inquiry activities in chemistry curriculum for resolving those problems. Also, textbook developer should accommodate the results of research about science textbooks.

  • This paper aims to analyze the process of the evolution of Gumi electronics industrial cluster and to understand the role of governments for local industrial dynamics. Gumi was a typical satellite platform type new industrial district up to mid-1990s. At that time, Gumi industrial park was the agglomeration of branch plants headquartered in Capital Region with weak local linkages. During the last two decades, however, Gumi has evolved to an electronics industrial cluster with considerable local interfirm linkages and innovation activities of SMEs. Recognizing government industrial policies is critical in understanding the process of the evolution of Gumi electronics cluster. At the early stage, the state was the developer and locator of business activities within the confines of the Gumi industrial park. In recent years, central government's innovative cluster policy contributed to strengthening networks among firms, universities, and research centers to form local innovation networks as well as networks between large branch plants and SMEs. Gumi city and Gyungsangbuk-do promoted innovative activities of SMEs through the supports of cooperative networks between universities and SMEs. The increasing roles of SMEs and local governments in addition to the large branch plants and the central government have become the basis of the evolution of industrial cluster in Gumi.

  • The risk of project failure has increased recently as ERP systems have been transformed into Web environments and task complexity has increased. Although low-code platform development tools are being used as a way to solve this problem, limitations exist as they are centered on UI. To overcome this, back-end development tools are required that can be developed quickly and easily, not only from the front development but also from a variety of development sources produced from the ERP development process, including back-end business services. In addition, the development tools included within existing ERP products require a lot of learning time from the perspective of beginner and intermediate developers due to high entry barriers. To address these shortcomings, this paper seeks to study ways to overcome the limitations of existing development tools within the ERP by providing customized development tool functions by enhancing the usability of ERP development tools suitable for each developer's skills and roles based on the requirements required by ERP development tools, such as reducing the time required for querying, automatic binding of data for testing for service-based units, and checking of source code quality.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the effect of using analogies in high school earth science classes. According to the usage of TWA model, three types of teaching strategies were developed: text developer-generated, teacher-generated, and student-generated analogies. The model described in this paper began with a task analysis of highschool science textbooks for grade 10 to identify how the textbook authors used analogies to explain plate tectonics concepts. In this study, 210 students were sampled from first graders of high school. After 7 classes, the consciousness of students was investigated with questionnaires. The results are as follows: 1. Many plate-tectonics analogies are used in high school science textbooks (total 25). Teachers and authors construct effective analogies to help students build on their relevant knowledge by applying it to new knowledge acquired from textbooks. 2. Analysis of the data indicate that instruction using student-generated analogies was more effective than others. But in the class in conveying complicated concepts (ex. transform fault), teacher-generated instruction was effective. Teachers need to be aware of the weakness of using analogies in order to select the most appropriate analogies. 3. Making analogies in general, as well as using analogies have systematic steps. Analogies should be used after considering student's preconception, teacher's consciousness and text author's intention to use analogies as powerful instructional tools.

  • Recently, a lot of local autonomous entities are promoting Ubiquitous City(U-City) Construction by integrating Information Communication Technology(ICT) with city development, and also internationally, a lot of cities are making efforts to develop U-City to intensify a city's competitive strength and improve life quality of city dwellers. In keeping with such a stream of the times, each local autonomous entity and project developer are developing a lot of methodologies to establish optimal U-City in corresponding cities and also inquiring into a variety of development procedures, such as connecting existing urban development methods with information establishment methods. The method used usually is to establish Information strategy Plan(ISP) for a city which will be developed through consulting in the stage of city development planning. ISP is to establish vision & strategy for building the ubiquitous city and is a methodology including city vision, strategy, goal, and implementation method, etc. However, due to a lot of variables, such as a variety of city environment, establishment period, budget, information technology, and etc., it is difficult to contain establishment plans for every occasion in a similar method, in reality. Therefore, it is naturally necessary to suggest plans for city vision & strategy, and selection of element technology/service. Thus, this paper suggests models for vision & strategy establishment of U-City and suggests Top-Down Approach and Bottom-Up Approach method as a plan for U-City establishment. In addition, this paper analyzes general promotion methodologies for constructing U-City and analyzes how these two strategic methods [Top-Down Approach and Bottom-Up Approach] for city vision establishment are composed in such a methodology, to define and analyze its constituent plan.

  • In recent years, hoping the interaction of individuals and rather than software development process and tools, and customers want software that works first, rather than a comprehensive document, in cooperation with the customer, rather than the developer negotiate a contract, to each other stick to the plan I think even more so than the value that corresponds to the change. In view of this, software development is given the autonomy and motivation to project team rather than process-oriented and have a passion and vision and human relations oriented management approach is required. In recent years, increasing the productivity benefits of agile development processes, improved quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction as is demonstrated in the methodology selected to promote the project, attention was given to the experts. Contemporary demands with regard to the methodology chosen to meet your needs, in this paper in the organization, and to solve the problems of product-based Cross functional team proposed methodology Feature Team model, this model is an organizational Cross functional team and the team is not the outcome (product) basis, were examined for the model that points to progress the development across multiple product as a functional unit, value-plan through the driven agile technique-based model and proposed a difference. And the domain analysis, required extraction by conventional JAD (joint application development) meeting the targets for the object-oriented modeling, in modeling and organize, review, aware in advance and the UML Structure and Behavior Diagrams and proposed to proceed with the project.

  • Dumbbell is the most basic topology that can be used in almost all kind of network experiment within it or just by little expansion. While Transmission Control Protocol TCP is the basic protocol that is used for the connectivity among networks and stations. TCP major and basic goal is to provide path and services to different applications for communication. For that reason TCP has to transfer a lot of data through a communication medium that cause serious congestion problem. To calculate the congestion problem, different kind of pre-cure solutions are developer which are Loss Based Variant and Delay Based Variant. While LBV keep track of the data that is going to be passed through TCP protocol, if the data packets start dropping that means congestion occurrence which notify as a symptom, TCP CUBIC use LBV for notifying the loss. Similarly the DBV work with the acknowledgment procedure that is used in when data ACK get late with respect to its set data rate time, TCP COMPOUND/VAGAS are examples of DBV. Many algorithms have been purposed to control the congestion in different TCP variants but the loss of data packets did not completely controlled. In this paper, the congestion control algorithms are implemented and corresponding results are analyzed in Dumbbell topology, it is typically used to analyze the TCP traffic flows. Fairness of throughput is evaluated for different TCP variants using network simulator (NS-2).
