초저비트율 동화상 압축을 위한 post-it 변환을 이용한 수리형태학적 상세부분(details)추출의 효율개선 (Efficiency Improvement of Morphological Details Extraction using Post-it Transformation for Very Low Bit-Rate Video Compression)

  • 영상 압축을 위한 방법으로서 수리형태학적 상세부분(details)의 추출을 위한 방법인 post-it 변환 과정 중에서 기존에는 상세부분(details)를 추출하는 단계의 참조영상을 일반 top-hat 결과로 취함으로서 상세부분(details)의 정보량이 많아 지고 밝고 어두운 상세부분(details)을 뺀 smoothed 영상이 평활화 되지 않고 오히려 공간주파수가 높아지는 단점이 있으므로 본 논문에서는 그러한 단점을 극복하기 위해 참조영상을 일반 top-hat이 아닌 재생 top-hatd의 사용을 제안함으로서 상세부분(details) 영상과 smoothed 영상의 압축효율 증대와 재생과정상의 반복연산수 감소 효과가 발생함을 보인다. 그러나 이러한 결과는 단독적으로 사용되는것이 아니라 동화상의 고효율 압축시 그 일부 과정으로 이용하며 이러한 변형 post-it 변환을 분할기반 부호화와 연계하여 동화상 비디오 시퀸스에 적용함으로서 본래 목적하였던 초저속 동화상 전송을 위한 고효율 압축을 실현하고자 한다.

  • Nowadays consumers have begun to have interest in eco-friendliness, and re-design is being highlighted as a fashion alternative for consumers with interest in ethical consumption. This study established the concept of re-design fashion as a way to practice eco-friendly design and analyzed various re-design fashions with four types. And it also analyzed decorative and structural details being often employed for re-design. This study intends to suggest new alternative fashion in order to develop re-design fashion design that can satisfy both eco-friendliness and practicality. The results of the research are as follows: First, according to the result of analyzing re-design fashion types, they can be divided into the types of developing new products through combination of decorative details, combination of structural details, development of new fabric through fabric reconstruction, and reconstruction to different products. Second, according to the result of examining the details that can be used to develop new re-design fashion products, pleats, shirring, tuck, peplum, or tab's decorative details and neck-line, collars, sleeves, cuffs, or pocket's structural details are utilized often. Third, total seven recycled clothes were used to design three works taking decorative and structural details. Through this, the study suggests re-design fashion products that can solve environmental pollution resulted from wastes of clothes.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of new hollow reinforced concrete (RC) bridge pier sections with triangular reinforcement details. The proposed triangular reinforcement details are economically feasible and rational and facilitate shorter construction periods. A model of pier sections with triangular reinforcement details was tested under quasi-static monotonic loading. As a result, proposed triangular reinforcement details was equal to existing reinforcement details in terms of required performance. In the companion paper, the parametric study for the performance assessment of new hollow RC bridge pier sections with triangular reinforcement details is performed.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of hollow reinforced concrete bridge column sections with reinforcement details for material quantity reduction. The proposed reinforcement details has have economic feasibility and rationality and makes construction periods shorter. A model of column sections with reinforcement details for material quantity reduction was tested under quasistatic monotonic loading. As a result, the proposed reinforcement details for material quantity reduction was were equal to existing reinforcement details in terms of the required performance. In the a subsequent paper, the an experimental and analytical study will be performed for the performance assessment of hollow reinforced concrete bridge column sections with reinforcement details for material quantity reduction will be performed.

예상치 못한 질문이 진술의 세부정보와 확인 가능한 사실의 양에 미치는 영향 (The effects of asking unexpected questions on general details and verifiable details)

  • 예상치 못한 질문을 통해 효과적인 거짓말 탐지가 가능하다고 알려져 있으나 최근 거짓말 판별에 사용되고 있는 확인 가능한 사실(verifiable details)에 있어 예상치 못한 질문의 효과를 검증한 연구는 많지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 예상치 못한 질문이 진실 진술자와 거짓 진술자가 언급하는 세부정보의 양과 확인 가능한 사실의 수에 미치는 효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 진실 조건의 참가자(40명)는 교내의 카페에 다녀왔고, 거짓 조건의 참가자(40명)는 정해진 장소에서 준비된 과제를 수행한 뒤 카페에 다녀왔다고 거짓말을 하였다. 모든 참가자는 면담에서 2개의 예상한 질문('자세히 말하기', '장소 묘사')과 2개의 예상치 못한 질문('거꾸로 말하기', '증명 요구')에 답하였다. 종속변인은 세부정보의 양과 확인 가능한 사실의 개수였다. 그 결과, 질문 유형과는 관계없이 진실 진술자가 거짓 진술자보다 유의미하게 더 많은 세부정보를 말하였다. 확인 가능한 사실의 개수에 있어서는 진실 진술자와 거짓 진술자 간의 유의미한 차이는 없었다. 그리고 세부정보의 양(71.3%)이 확인 가능한 사실의 수(53.8%)보다 더 정확하게 진실 진술자와 거짓 진술자를 판별하였다. 또한, 거짓 진술자들은 '자세히 말하기' 질문에 비해 '증명 요구' 질문을 받았을 때 더 많은 단어를 말하였으나 세부정보는 더 많이 언급하지 못하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계에 대해 논의하였으며 향후 연구 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

기념성을 구현하기 위한 조경디테일의 특성 (The Characteristics of Landscape Details for Memorialization)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of landscape details in representing symbolic images in memorials on the themes of war, tragedy, and the democratization movement. In considering the characteristics of memorial landscapes, the researcher divided the characteristics of landscape details into 3 analysis categories. They are the symbolic application of landscape elements, the embodiment of landscape details, and the organization of landscape details to represent symbolic images, for example, memory, mourning, reflection, healing, glory, and identity. Among details in 24 memorials designed in or after 1970. 133 symbolic details were selected including 64 items in Korea. The analysis revealed that among 30 elements used by designers for memorialization, walls, ponds, sculptures were used more often than other elements in representing the meaning of mourning, reflection, and healing that are the basic function of memorial. In regard to detail form, the designers used basic shapes like circles, squares and rectangles, horizontal and vertical lines to heighten the symbolic effect of shapes in confined form. Stone and water utilized from nature were also used as main materials because of their materiality meaning of death, eternity, life, and healing. The techniques of using lighting, fire, and sound were introduced to make details more effective. Details were organized in harmony and repetition to represent the flew of time and space in symbolic images. The study identified the following characteristics of memorial landscapes in Korea that were different from other country first, in designing memorials, most designers in Korea have been more focused on the organization of space than the details in memorials, and so, they have been neglecting to deliver symbolic image through detail design, while depending mainly on the introduction of art works. Lastly, because they introduced traditional elements which have little relation with the symbolic image needed, there have been many details which inaccurately represent symbolic meanings.

A model of hollow reinforced concrete bridge columns was tested under a constant axial load and a quasi-static cyclically reversed horizontal load. As a result, proposed reinforcement details for material quantity reduction were equal to existing reinforcement details in terms of required performance. The companion paper presents the experimental and analytical study for the performance assessment of hollow reinforced concrete bridge column systems with reinforcement details for material quantity reduction.

강교량의 표준적 구조상세에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of the Fatigue Specimen for the Typical Structural Details of the Steel Bridge)

  • 이 연구에서는 국내 피로설계규정상의 응력범주 C, D, E 및 E'에 해당하는 표준적인 구조인 십자 연결형, 면외거셋 부착형, 면내거셋 부착형 및 덮개판형을 모형화한 소형 시험편에 대한 피로실험을 실시하여 실험결과에 따라 각 시험편에 해당하는 국내 피로설계규정을 검증하며, 실험결과와 외국의 공개 데이터와의 비교 검토를 통해 국내 제작 강구조상세의 평가기준을 검토하였다. 실험 결과, AASHTO 및 JSSC, Eurocode의 관련 규정 값을 대부분 만족하는 것으로 확인되었다. 그러나, 십자연결형 접착부에 있어 모재가 파단된 하중전달형의 경우는 하중비전달형 보다 피로강도가 작으며, AASHTO 설계기준을 만족시키지 못하므로 설계기준에 대한 재검토가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 한편, 요접부 길이의 영향은 면외거셋 에서 부착부 길이 80mm 시험편보다 150mm 시험편의 피로강도가 낮게 나타나 용접구조부 길이의 영향이 있음을 확인하였다. 실험결과들을 종합해보면, AASHTO 규정에 입각한 국내 시방서상의 피로규정을 대부분 만족하고 있으나, 보다 세분된 범주로 규정하고 있는 JSSC 및 Eurocode의 설계기준이 본 연구의 실험결과와 비교할 때 보다 합리적인 것으로 생각된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the behavior characteristics of new hollow reinforced concrete (RC) bridge pier sections with triangular reinforcement details and to provide the details and reference data. Among the numerous parameters, this study concentrates on the shape of the section, the reinforcement details and the spacing of the transverse reinforcement. Additional eight column section specimens were tested under quasi-static monotonic loading. In this study, the computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), was used. A innovative confining effect model was adopted for new hollow bridge pier sections. This study documents the testing of new hollow RC bridge pier sections with triangular reinforcement details and presents conclusions based on the experimental and analytical findings.

  • This study investigates the seismic performance of solid reinforced concrete columns with triangular reinforcement details using nonlinear seismic analysis. The developed reinforcement details are economically feasible and rational, and facilitate shorter construction periods. By using a sophisticated nonlinear finite element analysis program, the accuracy and objectivity of the assessment process can be enhanced. Solution of the equations of motion is obtained by numerical integration using Hilber-Hughes-Taylor (HHT) algorithm. The proposed numerical method gives a realistic prediction of seismic performance throughout the input ground motions for several column specimens. As a result, developed triangular reinforcement details were designed to be superior to the existing reinforcement details in terms of required performance.
