The purpose of this study is 1) to research how practitioners in fashion industry in South Korea perceive concepts of Technical Design/Designer, 2) to compare and analyze issues at work by occupation, 3) to research specific works in garment development process, and 4) to compare and analyze work involvement by occupation, type of a company and etc, and 5) to propose the role of Technical Designers in apparel companies in South Korea. There were two methods to conduct this study, which were in-depth interview and survey. Both methods were conducted to designers, merchandisers, pattern makers, technical designers, and production coordinators. Frequency analysis, ANOVA, Duncan test, and Factor analysis were performed to get results by using SPSS 18.0 program. The results are following. There were 50 works during garment development process from the result of in-depth interview, and 6 factors were obtained from the result of Factor analysis, which were 'Works about Sample in Sample Development Process', 'Works about Product's Pattern and Size Spec', 'Works about Development of Garment's Design', 'Works about Planning of Product Development and Management of Product in Stock', 'Works about Production Process', and 'Preparation Works for Sample Development'. In conclusion, technical designer in apparel companies in South Korea should be in charge of works about sample in sample development process and decision making of product' size spec, which is included in works about product's pattern and size spec. Also, they should complete technical package after product is developed by designers.

Collaboration between AI and fashion designers is becoming essential. Thus, this study explored (1) 321 consumer responses to fashion designers, comparing their capabilities and product quality across different designer types, (2) the relationship between designer capabilities and perceived product quality, and (3) the moderating role of AI knowledge in the effect of capabilities on perceived product quality. Data were analyzed using EFA, ANOVA, regression, and moderation analysis. The results indicated that subjects perceived human designers as having higher capabilities and perceived product quality than AI designers. All subjects' perceived creativity and empathy significantly impacted the perceived functionality, aesthetics, and symbolism-sociality of clothing. Additionally, the perceived creativity of AI and human+AI designers, and the perceived empathy of human and human+AI designers, significantly influenced the perceived functionality and symbolism-sociality, but the perceived creativity of human designers and empathy of AI designers did not directly impact perceived functionality and symbolism-sociality. Moreover, perceptions of the designers' capabilities significantly aesthetics in all subjects. Furthermore, low levels of perceived consumer AI knowledge enhanced the positive impact of perceived human+AI designers' creativity and empathy on perceived functionality and aesthetics. The study suggests that fashion companies should refrain from revealing AI designers at this time.

To develop enterprise architecture based distributed application needs consideration of various factors such as division of role between web-designer and software developer, defining entity and its usage, database connection and transaction processing. This paper presents DONSL(Data Server of Non SQL-Query) architecture that provides solution to above aspects through web-tier object modeling guaranteeing efficient transaction processing and performance between web-tier and 08MS through simplified usage of query logic property.

This study is to analyze mathematically gifted middle school students' characteristics of mathematical thinking and the teacher's role in teaching and learning about the central projection and perspective drawing. And it will help to develop teaching and learning materials for the mathematically gifted. The result of this study is as followings : mathematically gifted middle school students show the various characteristics of mathematical thinking like as intuitive insight, generalization, logical thinking & mathematical abstraction and so on, and the teacher plays roles as instructional designer, facilitator, technical assistant and counselor.

Larger and more sophisticated building construction requires more input resources such as worker, materials and devices. Growing resource volume brings risks at a construction site. The industry makes an effort to protect probable incidents at the site by organizing a safety management team. conducting a safety instruction and etc, but losses especially in the construction are higher than other industries. Major reason is that the safety management program is conducted only at the step of construction work and a root cause is not eliminated. Conventionally a concerned party shifts the blame to other parties such as constructor and site workers who are direct participants in the construction site. However, the whole causes of incidents go to the all subject of the construction not only the constructor but the client, designer and others related in the construction, and especially the clients are heavily involved in general concerns of the project. Therefore, this study is defined the role of the clients in nations and domestic condition of construction safety management is investigated. And it is analyzed surveys to prevent incidents at construction sites, and suggested the role of the clients which is classified pre and post construction, and in the middle of construction, and also categorized planning and design & construction schedule especially for the pre-construction level.

Raoul Dufy devoted and was involved in textile design between 1910 and 1928. It was a transitional period in fashion. especially Poiret took an important role as a fashion designer at that time. After meeting Poiret, he won the fame as a textile designer rather than a painter, in his early stages, He had been deeply involved in fashion design. For instance Dufy and Poiret shared their world of art, collaborated to mount exhibitions, the Print textile fabrics by Dufy was used for dresses by Poiret and so on. The textile design which showed Dufy's artistic abilities was used as a method of expression of an exchange and a communication between art and fashion in the same period, through collaborations with Poiret. For instance, Dufy as a fauvist created and produced textile designs using his magnificent and cheerful colors and lines. He brought about a revolution in the textile design due to his participation in fashion design, as well as encouraging fashion designers. Textile design by Dufy, which grafted onto his world of art impressed Poiret greatly. It proposed the new direction of the fashion and influenced modern costume. The positive collaborate between Dufy and Poiret provided a momentum to a costume for being a part of art. Textile design as one of the important area in modern fashion needs a design originality for creating a high value-added products.

In the history of fashion, few designers have interpreted the background of the time more accurately and energetically than did Elsa Schiaparelli. She understood the new role of women and believed clothes should suit one's life style. Schiaparelli begun with sportswear, later included suits and dresses. She produced them of great elegance and extreme chic. Simplicity of line was the key to her distinctive and elegant silhouette. Even her simplest designs had elegance. Her concept of clothes was architectual : the more the plane of the body were respected, the more the garment acquired vitality. Schiaparelli combined her knowledge, timing, and sense of daring in the presentation of her designs, colors, fabrics, and embroideries. For V, the garment was not only the medium for the couturier's craft but also the place for artistic expression. Her self-conscious equation of designer's objectives with that of artist is at the heart of her work. Schiaparelli's work is an expression of desire, not merely of design.

Automatically deriving only individual don't-care minterms that can effectively reduce a Boolean logic expressions are being investigated. Don't-care conditions play an important role in optimizing logic design. The type of unknown don't-care minterms that can always reduce the number of product terms in Boolean expression are referred as single hypothetical don't-care (S-HDC) minterms. This paper describes the Quasi Quine-McCluskey method that systematically derives S-HDC minterms. For the most part, this method is similar to the original Quine-McCluskey method in deriving the prime implicants. However, the Quasi Quine-McCluskey method further derives S-HDC minterms by applying so-called a combinatorial comparison operation. Upon completion of the procedure, the designer can review generated S-HDC minterms to test its appropriateness for a particular application.

Dries Van Noten, one of the Antwerp Six, focused on recreating traditional attire from each region to complex contemporary attire and has shown designs that interpreted ethnic image in contemporary perspective from his very first collection. He has positioned himself as a designer with creative expression of ethnic image through broad use of various patterns. This paper analyze the use of pattern in Dries Van Noten's designs by season and item, and reflects on the characteristics of pattern use and influence on fashion image. Total of 887 clothing items were collected from Noten's collections on the Internet. Through analysis of frequency and percentage and cross tab of expression techniques, types, patterns of each motif, and classifications of print combinations, it was shown that Noten has applied six aesthetic rules in the use of pattern design. Pattern played the most significant role in his design. It was possible to achieve the balance of ethnic image and modern image with the mix of flower and abstract motives. Overall pattern was mostly used for practical purpose: border patterns and spaced patterns played a vital role in rendering uniqueness. Noten exhibited unity and variation in combining prints. He expressed the beauty of Oriental style by inserting solid color blocks in between patterns and decorations along trim lines.

In machining large screws such as those of extruders, it takes long time to machine them on conventional machines which usually use single-tipped fixed tools. And it is also difficult to use an existing CAD/CAM coftware when trying to get over the problems of conventional machines and making use of CNC machines. In this paper, generation of machining program using rotational tools for large screws defined by longitudinal-section profile is descrebed. Use of rotational tools in machining plays an important role in saving machining time. In the sort of extruder screws, it is easy to define a screw shape by longitudinal-section profile, and by which improvement of dimensional accuracy can be expected. The CAM software developed in this paper is based on user's and designer's friendliness.
