  • GAN (Generative Adversarial Networks) creates highly sophisticated counterfeit products by learning real images or text and inferring commonalities. Therefore, it can be useful in fields that require the creation of large-scale images or graphics. In this paper, we implement GAN-based game character creation AI that can dramatically reduce illustration design work costs by providing expansion and automation of game character image creation. This is very efficient in game development as it allows mass production of various character images at low cost.

  • The purpose of this study is to implement game content within the generative artificial intelligence module Chat-GPTs, grounded in the humanistic discourse of self-reflection. This content aims to empower the dignity of the silver generation, which has been marginalized by digital technology. Simultaneously, we intend to prototype a digital psychotherapeutic tool. The development of a flexible device that adapts to the silver generation's living environment and temporal constraints is also part of our plan. However, there are still few commercially available products, and digital therapeutics developed in the form of content are virtually nonexistent. The goal is to implement game content that allows the elderly, who have been marginalized by digital technology, to find their true dignity. Simultaneously, we plan to commercialize a prototype of digital psychotherapy that can flexibly adapt to the range of living environments and time constraints of the elderly. This study has been extended based on the game content 'Daily Run' created by Hyein Kwon, an undergraduate student at Kyungil University.

  • A Human Computation Game(HCG) is designed to solve difficult problems that cannot be dealt with computers with a large number of individuals' voluntary participations. Most existing relative studies focus on building more efficient system for problem solving, or the individual cases on the development of certain HCGs. However, a game is fully completed by the players who play it. Therefore, additional research is needed to annalize the ludic elements of HCGs, which induce people to play them voluntarily. We studied the purposes, tasks, and the game mechanics of 31 HCGs, then suggested how to design more enjoyable HCGs.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the game dynamics of 'Battle Royale' genre and how these dynamics create dramatic tension, focused on . Battle Royale games maintain the dramatic tension through the intersection of uncertainty and inevitability. Uncertainty is reinforced by randomness of the game world and hidden information of player statement. Inevitability is emerged from the level design with choke point, and restriction of playable field over time. From this mechanism, Battle Royale genre establishes the gameness which derives player's meaningful choice and maintains player's tension until the end of the game.

  • Recently, the Go game has been performed between the 'AlphaGo' of the DeepMind and Lee Sedol, a famous professional Go-player of Korea, which leads to arise a lot of interests in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) research area. Based on the Fuzzy logic of the AI, we have also developed another game's AI, .i.e., the Yutnori game, one of Korean traditional board games. However, it is not easy and simple to consider all the cases of the Yutnori game since it is a non-perfect information game in terms of the AI. Thus, we have developed the Fuzzy-logic-based AI which tries to simulate humans' selections, meaning that the suggested AI has focused on the humans' choices depending on diverse situations in the Yutnori. With our extensive simulations using the suggested Yutnori AI, we have analyzed its performances with respect to 10 Yutnori situations among various scenarios. In conclusion, our suggested AI have demonstrated that 6 out of 10 situations are exactly same with the humans' choices and the rest 4 cases are also similar to that of human's, which reveals that our Fuzz-logic-based Yutnori AI can effectively simulate human's choices.

  • The purposes of this research are to identify causalities among flow and customer loyalty In Chinese online games, and to identify the factors by which flow are influenced. This research tests the model with Chinese on-line game users and compare this result with Korea and Japanese results which were conducted by Lee's research. These implications are thought to be helpful for Korean online game companies to understand the Chinese online game user and to develop the penetration strategies. The results indicated that significant Path coefficients to flow were the convenience of operator, the provision of information, the reality of design. The results indicated that significant path coefficients to customer loyalty were the involvement of virtual community and flow. The involvement of virtual community to flow was not significant but to customer loyalty was significant. The provision of information was negatively influenced on flow. The result of comparison indicated that the path coefficients were different among nations. Korea online game companies need to develop the indigenized online game and to Provide the information to their Chinese partner correctly and quickly.

  • This article attempts to analyze story of computer game by structuralistic storytelling model. The storytelling model is mainly used in traditional media. But the model is made not only by analyzing the text of story but also chasing the human psychological instinct, so I thought that it is applicable to computer games. Tetris, one of classical game was the object of analysis in this article. As a result, the 7 archetype and 12 journey of hero storytelling model were also available in tetris. The characteristic that the game user becomes protagonist itself must have been taken into account while analyzing game.

  • The growth of a game character is represented by the addition and subtraction of the status value. The status factors are variously defined and used depending on the kind of games. In this paper, we propose how character 's status elements are defined and used. We also propose a method for assigning a status value when generating a character considering growth. This method is designed using genetic algorithms to link the growth of a character with an element of time and to generate a character with the appropriate status value according to the change of time. The proposed method is verified through experiments based on time variation.

  • Purpose - This study examines the changes in the mobile MMORPG market in recent years and the factors affecting the performance of mobile games through flow experience according to the characteristics of game content. Research design, data, and methodology - This study focuses on the fact that the cause of game use behavior changes is the flow experience which influences the duration of mobile game continuation. The flow experience and the influencing factors are divided into the relationship between first, second-leading factors, and lagged factors. Results - The user's sense of challenge, skillfulness, concentration, and reality influenced the flow experience as a leading factor influencing the performance of MMORPG games. On the other hand, fun and preference were found to be the outcomes of the flow experience. This is because the game content is experienced not through passive enjoyment but by intentionally enjoying the game content. The flow experience has a positive effect on the intention of continuous use as in the previous study. Conclusions - This study found that the flow experience of game users is necessary for continuous use by organizing relationships of flow experience in mobile MMORPG users' gaming behavior.
