The site for this plan is located at the foot of Mt. Unseo at Galcheon-ri, Changsu-myon, Youngdeok-gun. On the site stands Jangyutsa Temple, built by priest Naong in 1355 (in the 4th year of King Gongmin during Koryo Kingdom). The purpose of this plan is to widely publicize and commemorate priest Naong by designing a district centering around the temple. The basic directions of design can be summarized as follows 1) A special Buddhists'pilgrimage and sight-seeing district aimed at commemorating priest Naong will be developed to preserve the historic figure of priest Naong. To this end, a facility will be built to collect, preserve and exhibit materials related with the great priest in order to preserve his legacy and enhance the image of the space. 2) Special fractions which are rare in other districts will be introduced to create an image different from the conventional memorial districts or sight-seeing zones. To this end, the district will be divided into the Jangyuksa Temple area proper and a district memorial area, each of which will have its own unique characteristics with different functions. On the other hand, the two different areas will be related with each other and complemented by each other. Such planning techniques as articulation and superimposition will be used for a synergistic effect. 3) The plan will accommodate various programs centering around historical and cultural assets, and at the same time will allow tourists to have various experiences and access to the natural environment as well as to a variety of events. 4) In order to plan such landscapes as shown in the traditional mountain temples, the traditional tectonic forms will be used for the facilities. It is expected that the district surrounding Jangyuksa Temple will become a popular sight-seeing destination, and with new historical and cultural environments will become a valuable resource to widely publicize the culture of Youngdeok-gun.
This study is purposed to analyze the characteristics of different images of Hollywood movie costumes centering on the costumes of actresses who are the fashion leaders creating fashions especially focusing on those in 1930s. The scope of this study covers the movie costumes selected from the movies ranging from 1930 to 1939 centering on the Hollywood movies produced and released by large movie distributors and the movie costumes of heroins that exerted great influences on the culture and clothing history of 1930s were examined. As for the methods of study, visual data and image data including movies were collected through related dissertations, articles in journals, internet sites relating to movies and photos and we have analyzed each of the characteristics of the movie costumes appearing in each image. The result of this study is as follows. Firstly, ethnic images were the reflection of orientalism that was popular in the fashion of the age with the purpose of highlighting the exotic appearances of the actresses and were the cases where the characters of the actresses had to be expressed in ethnic styles due to the spatial backgrounds of movie works. Secondly, glamorous images were highlighting the appeals of plump breasts, shoulder lines and the bodies constricted in the middle and the Hollywood movie costumes in 1930s. The smooth and flowing silhouettes of the heroins of the age were mainly long and slim patterns and female's images were expressed by highlighting the beauty of leg lines or especially by halter neck evening dresses that exposed backs and covered breasts. Thirdly, mannish images reflected tough images of males in order to further highlight the reality of the characters of the heroins of the age pursuant to the emergence of the opinions advocating the equality between men and women.
This study examined that the black dress is the one of having aesthetic value as well as symbolism while delivering specific image, from the perspective of color, which is essential element in forming design of the Stage Costume. This study carried out the theoretical research of centering on the literature consideration and the empirical research of centering on a case side by side. It analyzed the works and design based on the clothing, which had been performed in Korea with a revival version of Musical 'Chicago'. Aesthetic characteristics in more than two are being shown in one dress. If so, the following are the results that considered on aesthetics characteristics in black, which were shown in Stage Costume of Musical 'Chicago', which is increasing the theme consciousness through Stage Costume, which is simple and sexy black. First, as emotion of coming to stay in agony and sadness on the basic fact called death, the Stage Costume in black led to being shown sorrow of implying death, fear and murder. Second, the dignity, which corresponds to noble beauty in the aesthetic category, expresses dignity and elegance with flat material in black, and is revealed the aspect of expressing fashion, which emphasized spirit rather than body. Third, as the aesthetic characteristic of causing sexual desire, the sensuality was shown, which has the aspect of being expressed through exposure, concealment and emphasis. Fourth, it was expressed with androgyny, which evokes androgynous image. Fifth, black in Musical 'Chicago' formed the whole mood with a sense of weight by arranging the whole feeling with color in similar tone, thereby having been indicated the harmony of being formed with theme, which is aimed to be indicated in drama.
As the Production technology Progresses, the necessity to consider consumers needs being complex and diverse in the phase of developing product is being more important. However, existing system of consumers needs being structured with the view of marketing is too abstractive and categorical to apply in the phase of developing product. So, the goal of this study is to establish method that structuralize customer's needs for applying practically in the phase of the product concept development and to suggest guidelines to needs structuralization with emphasis on the view of cognitive science/cognitive psychology. The major findings of this study is summerized as follows. First, to structuralize not only customer's needs category which being used as standard to assort needs in existing way but also practical needs features, it must contain the concept of emotion that is actual product's meaning to customers in its structure, and for this reason, the structuralized needs with emotions can be defined as emotional needs structure. Second, categorization of concept will be divided as essential concept and referential concept centering around symbolic concept, and from this supposition, emotional needs structure can be composed as benefit concept(essential concept), customer needs(referential concept) centering around emotion(symbolic concept).
The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of change in the composition of indoor spaces in Korean-style houses which have been repaired and improved extensively through the 'Bukchon Improvement Project' and are being utilized for public purposes. For this, we conducted a field survey through visiting the house sites from the 5th to the 26th of May, 2006. Conclusions drawn from this study are as follows. Bukchon Korean-style houses maintain centripetal space composition, in which the rooms surround the court. Centering on the court, the hierarchy of spaces is determined, and the hierarchy of spaces and the composition of internal layout are restructured centering on the court and the main hall without change in direction and position. The main hall is sometimes converted to a room, but it maintains an open space relation with other spaces centering on the court, and therefore, even after its use has been changed, it is still the most Korean-style space. In addition, with floor heating, the common sitting-style life is maintained continuously although the rooms have been converted and standing-style furniture is used. In this way, publicly promoted policies for Korean-style houses are allowed within the limit that the appearance is maintained and the internal spaces do not change the overall structure. However, in order to maintain the tradition of Korean-style houses and utilize them as various spaces, the following supplementations are necessary. First, the main hall and the inner court of a Koreanstyle house should be utilized actively. The court sometimes keeps individuals' privacy or expands the space by extending the view to outdoor spaces, and is sometimes used as an open space through interconnection between the inside and the outside of the house. Second, consideration should be given to vertical spaces. Horizontal expansion causes a change of floor plan. Thus, space should be secured using various cross-sectional changes, such as a kitchen and a loft over the kitchen. Third, structure should be changeable in order to adjust the size of spaces. Thus, through research on traditional windows, we need to develop changeable walls that can be installed and removed easily according to the use of spaces.

Glasses industry has great growth potential from the future-oriented perspective in Korea. In consideration of the fact that the ratio of aging population increases in this aging society, people have more and more interest in health. Also, their recognition on the cycle to change glasses is changing, and the utility of them as fashion items is increasing day by day, it is expected that the demand for glasses will be even more extended afterwards. Of course, presently it suffers from the gap between cheaper items and expensive ones provided by overseas prominent brands due to the bi-polarization of the market. However, they are pursuing the 2nd growth as export-leading items in the past through international glass exhibitions based on knowhow accumulated for a long time. Therefore, this study aims to examine the current status of glasses design industry in Korea reflecting the actual situations we have now and also understand the problems and limitations internalized in our glass design industry through the research process. As a result, the study has drawn the following conclusions. This paper intends to point out first, the phenomenon of bi-polarization of the glass market in Korea. Second, unequal distribution by region centering around Daegu. Third, the limitations of brand identity. Fourth, the limitations of information, planning, and marketing power. Fifth, passive conduction of international events and their insufficient effects. This study concludes that all these problems can be solved through 'planning and design, and marketing power'.

This study deals with apartments, the representative form of residence in Korea, and analyzes the residential plane of 30-pyong apartments that are constructed by the 5 construction companies within in the past three years. It is discovered that these apartments show a certain form and that developing the frame work of interior elements according to the characteristics of family types of 30-pyong apartment residents and the process for such a frame work are needed. Therefore, by analyzing the differences of residential forms according to resident types, this investigation tries to approach the design centering around users. To summarize the steps and contents of this study, first, it draws the understanding and the study field of common residential space, second, it shows the characteristics of family types within residential space, third, it analyzes and verifies the differences of characteristics according to family types within the representative size and form of plane. This investigation is aimed to provide the reasons for developing different planes according to family types despite they may be of the same size, to show the frame of the study method for developing the plane design and the interior element design for users and to suggest the way of designing residence in a conditional approach applying the conditions of users within common residential space.

A catadioptric optical system produces images by refraction and reflection. To improve the image quality, the shape of the secondary mirror supporters should be determined to ensure that the centering error and tilt of secondary mirror are very small, and the main mirror receives the maximum amount of light. Furthermore, random acceleration vibration has a severe effect on the optical system for observation reconnaissance. In order to obtain the best design under these circumstances, the volume of the secondary mirror supporter must be minimized while satisfying the constraints expressed in standard deviations of the centering error and tilt. It is difficult to analytically calculate the design sensitivities of the standard deviations, because they are statistically defined. Hence, after their second-order regression equations were determined using a response surface methodology, an optimal geometric design was obtained. As a result, it was found that the method proposed in this paper, which included a random vibration analysis, was effective in obtaining the optimal design for a secondary mirror supporter with robustness.

This paper focuses on the spatial changes that create a three-dimensional or deep feeling on the surface of a scarf centering on the cube shape. Through this, consumers with various tastes were able to satisfy their image presentation. The cube form has simplicity and order and is likely to be used as a formative object. The cube shapes can be expressed in various forms through visual and perceptual spatial changes by presenting various shape changes based on the viewpoint of the two-dimensional silk surface, that is, by changing the eyes' position and orientation. Various visual theorists' discussions about cube-shaped visual changes were discussed. In addition, the three-dimensional spatial illusion caused by the shape and color of Victor Bazaarelli's cube was examined. The cube shape was printed silk surfaces to give a three-dimensional sense of space on a two-dimensional scarf design using the size change, the difference in the length of the line, and the color change. As such, the cube shape has infinite possibilities as a method that can express three-dimensional depth and space on the flat surface of a scarf. Therefore, it is hoped that this study will be applied to various aspects as the basic data for the scarf design that expresses the spatial changes in the form of cubes.
This paper shows the more improved design of MRI receiver compared to conventional one based on Elscint Spectrometer. At first, the low-cost ADC is 16 bits, 3MHz sampling A/D converter Comparing to conventional one with signal bits of 14 bits, this device with those of 16 bits helps getting Improved the image resolution improved. If frequency is designed centering around 7.6 MHz to be satisfied in 10 MHz of maximum input bandwidth of ADC. For 1st demodulation, fixed IF is used for the purpose of the implementing multi nuclei system. Control parts & partial digital parts are integrated on one chip(FPGA). In DDC(Digital Down Converter), we got required bandwidth of LPF by controlling its decimation rate. With above considerations, we designed optimal receiver for high resolution imaging to be implemented through PC interface & experimental test of receiver of MRI after receiver's fabrication.
