This study used a virtual wearing system equipped with body shape data with a 3D scanner, based on a female basic bodice, to develop a modified Hanbok Jeogori with high fitness capabilities to provide basic data for the development of the modified Hanbok Jeogori pattern for the academic and industrial fields. In this study, the representative modified Hanbok design which most frequently appeared in broadcasting ads and on line was selected. The wearing test was conducted by six professionals, and three times wearing tests were implemented based on 17 evaluation items. The data for this study was processed statistically using SAS 9.0. We conducted, the F-test for significance verification, the Duncan-test for a post test, and a correlation analysis of Cronbach's alpha coefficient for a reliability test of dressing test results were implemented for each of the three tests. The pattern of the developed modified Hanbok Jeogori overcame the defects of the short length of the conventional modified hanbok, and could fix the length issue. The developed Hanbok pattern solved the overlapping problem of the shoulder, back neck point-sleeve length(Whajang), and armhole, displayed in a straight line from the Godae point of the previous modified Hanbok; it suggested the position of the Seop and neck line in the basic bodice. Based on this, the Seop width, Git form, Goreum and the width, length, and position of the string whose dimensions can differ in accordance with the trend can be applied in various forms.
This work dealt with the design and manufacturing of composite blades of a vertical axis wind turbine system. In this work, aerodynamic and structural designs of sandwich composite blades for a vertical axis wind turbine system were performed. First, the aerodynamic and structural design requirements of the composite blades were investigated. After the structural design was complete, a structural analysis of the wind turbine blades was performed using the finite element analysis method. It was performed with the stress and displacement analysis at the applied load condition. A design modification for the structurally weak part was proposed as a result of the structural analysis. Through another structural analysis, it was confirmed that the final designed blade structure is safe.
As the mobile electronic product is getting slimmer and smaller, the necessity of keypad is being increased. But the possibility of mis-typing keypad is increased rapidly due to the integrated keypad in the small mobile product. The business division has not considered the methodology of keypad design essentially. In this paper, analysis method and design evaluation standard to reduce the mis-typing of UMPC(Ultra Mobile Personal Computer) is suggested. First, the finite element analysis model and the biomechanical human body model are implemented in order to simulate the exact contact characteristic between finger and keypad. The reliability of analysis model is guaranteed by the comparison of the contact pressure between analysis result and experiment result of the pressure sensor. The design optimization of key shape and layout is derived through the response surface method. The prototype model is produced with the optimized design of keypad, and then it verified the advanced function with user mis-typing detection test. The optimized keypad design reduced the mis-typing ratio from 35% of existing model to 75 of proposed model. If this paper is widely applied to not only UMPC but also the other electronic products, the emotional quality of all products could be improved considerably.

The rise of the machine culture in the last 20th century has rapidly changed the world into a high-tech civilized society but at the same time, it also caused environmental estrangements such as damage in the environment and the loss of humanity in the human society due to materialism. As a reaction to the absence of humanity in such environment, in these modern days design which acts as the product of public art, escaped from the previous physical functional satisfaction and stood out as the culture industry that satisfies human's sensibility. This study is focusing on the method of how such sensitive designs are expressed in the interior space of retail shops and such methods are researched through the image evaluation test conducted to the 10 brands of overseas' jewelery shops. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning and effects of designs that took consideration of sensibility in a retail shop and to establish efficient marketing strategy using sensitive design and to utilize it into the interior space.
In this paper we designed the motor control IP Core and evaluate its quality from the viewpoint of IP reuse. The most attractive merit of this methodology, so called IP-based hardware design, is hardware reuse. Although various vendors designed hardware with the same specification and got the same functional results, all that IPs is not the same quality in the reuse aspect. As tremendous calls for SoC have been increased, associated research about IP quality standard, VSIA(Virtual Socket Interface Alliance) and STARC(Semiconductor Technology Academic Research Center), has been doing best to make the IP quality evaluation system. And they made what conforms to objective IP design standard. We suggest the methodology to evaluate our own designed motor control IP quality with this standard. To attain our goal, we designed motor control IP that could control the motor velocity and position with feedback compensation algorithm. This controller has some IP blocks : digital filter, quadrature decoder, position counter, motion compensator, and PWM generator. Each block's functionality was verified by simulator ModelSim and then its quality was evaluated. To evaluate the core, We use Vnavigator for lint test and ModelSim for coverage check. During lint process, We adapted the OpenMORE's rule based on RMM (Reuse Methodology Manual) and it could tell us our IP's quality in a manner of the scored value form. If it is high, its quality is also high, and vice versa. During coverage check ModelSim-SE is used for verifying how our test circuits cover designs. This objective methods using well-defined commercial coverage metrics could perform a quantitative analysis of simulation completeness. In this manner, We evaluated the designed motor control IP's quality from the viewpoint of reuse. This methodology will save the time and cost in designing SoC that should integrate various IPs. In addition to this, It can be the guide for comparing the equally specified IP's quality. After all, we are continuously looking forward to enhancing our motor control IP in the aspect of not only functional perfection but also IP reuse to prepare for the SoC-Compliant motor control IP design.

This study introduced food waste into re-vegetation base materials for surface loss recovery of carry-away highway cut slope. The object of this study is to derive the mixing ratio of food waste by conducting a test installation, monitoring, analysis and evaluation for recovery of carry-away highway cut slope. The following items were investigated and analyzed each experimental zone to draw mixing ratio of re-vegetation base materials and food waste : the physical and chemical properties of the vegetation base materials, soil-hardness, soil-humidity, left out and the collapsed point, established number of trees, species richness of grass species and tree species, coverage, pest status, and invasion of disturbance species. The re-vegetation method was evaluated by each experiment zone which has different mixing ratio. As a result, experiment zone A was rated 45 points out of 60 rating points as the best re-vegetation method. However, this study result has been derived from one construction and short-term monitoring. In order to derive the suitable and dependable mixing ratio, conducting an objective re-vegetation method evaluation and long-term experiment and monitoring is required.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the visual effects and images according to changes in the line and length of the connecting lines of the neck, center front, and hem line from analyzing the bolero style shown in 2005 S/S domestic fashion. The basic lines of the bolero were classified into three different categories according to the connecting lines of the neck, center front line, and hem line. We altered the length of the bolero in three categories with changes in the waistline-5cm, waistline-8cm, and waistline-11cm. For the visual evaluation, 9 stimuli were placed in mannequins, and were estimated by the experts in the fashion design. For the visual evaluation according to changes in the line and length of the bolero, we used 12 pairs of items to find the visual effects, and 13 pairs of adjectives to measure the visual images. The stimuli and adjectives were randomly given to the evaluators and were evaluated by the 7-Point Likert Type Scale. The data have analyzed by frequency, factor analysis, anova, scheffe's test. According to the result of factor analysis of the visual effects of the Bolero, the result was classified into 4 factors: the whole silhouette, neck line, breasts and shoulders. According to the result of factor analysis of the visual image of the Bolero, the result was classified into 3 factor: maturity, tenderness, neatness. The visual effects by variations in the line and length of the bolero had significant differences in all factors. The visual images by variations in the line and length of the bolero had significant differences in the maturity, tenderness, but they didn't show significant differences in neatness.

The purpose of this study is to recognize the differences of visual evaluation by variations in pattern and silhouette of the block dresses. The stimuli are 9 samples: 3 variations of the silhouette and 3 variations of the size of pattern. The data has been obtained from 55 fashion students and has been analyzed by using Factor Analysis, Anova, Scheffe's Test and the MCA method. The results of this study are as follows; 1) The visual evaluation by pattern and silhouette of block dresses are composed of 4 factors: lovable personality, physical characteristics, boldness, and simplicity. 2) Block dresses were evaluated to display the figure more efficiently, such as looking slimmer or taller, in the order of 2nd stage, 1st stage, and 3rd stage in every silhouette. As the patterns became bigger, straight silhouette dresses were judged to have bolder, more dignified images. 3) Block dresses were evaluated to have cute and lively images in order of hourglass silhouette, straight silhouette, and fitted silhouette in every pattern. They were evaluated to appear slimmer and taller in order of hourglass silhouette, fitted silhouette, and straight silhouette in every pattern. 1st stage and 2nd stage dresses were evaluated to have a bolder, more dignified image in order of fitted silhouette, hourglass silhouette, and straight silhouette. 4) The pattern and the silhouette of the block dresses interacted with boldness. These were the boldest, most dignified image in the fitted silhouette and 1st stage, while they were not judged so in the case of the straight silhouette and 1st stage. 5) According to the MCA regarding lovable personality and physical characteristics, the silhouette affected the visual image of the block dresses more than the pattern did. According to the MCA on simplicity, the pattern affected the visual image of the block dresses more than the silhouette.

When enjoying sports activities with friends or others, sportswear has symbolic meanings to express and expect self-concept. Sports players sometimes have trouble when they feel embarrassed by their low skills or care about other people too much. Therefore, researchers tried to find out which feature of sports players affects dependence on brand sportswear along with the effect of wearing conspicuous sportswear on wearer when sports players have a conflict based on Solomon's symbolic interactionism. We proposed that role knowledge and attention to social comparison information (ATSCI) influenced people to depend on and use brand sportswear that influences a reflexive evaluation. Finally, we suggested that a changed self-concept would exert influence commitment to sports. A quantitative study was conducted employing an online survey of 121 people by convenient sampling. In this process, Google Docs was to create the online survey and to collect responses by participants. In data processing, via SPSS 21.0 version for Windows, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, ANOVA, t-test, discriminant and regression analysis were conducted to study the relationship between variables. The finding provided evidence that low role knowledge and high ATSCI create high dependence on brand sportswear and influence people to buy sportswear. When people bought and wore a brand sportswear, they evaluated themselves as professional sports players who were more committed to sports. This study confirmed that brand sportswear was useful for sport players to change self-evaluation and enjoy sports.

This study aims to evaluate the differences in visual images due to the variations in the silhouette and jacket type of men's suits. Six samples were used for this study: 3 examples had variations in the silhouette while 2 variations were in the jacket type. They were evaluated using a 7-point rating scale and a survey was conducted among 80 fashion students. The data was analyzed by Factor Analysis, ANOVA, Scheffé Test, and the MCA method. This study's results are as follows: 1) According to Factor Analysis, the components of visual evaluation by the silhouette and the jacket type of men's suit were classified into: attractiveness, masculinity, practicality, and naturalness. Among these factors, attractiveness and masculinity were evaluated to be the most important factors. 2) Men's suits with a single-breasted jacket had a simple and practical images in fitted and boxy silhouettes. Double-breasted jacket suits showed sexy, refined, and chic images in the fitted and slim silhouettes, and expressed an adult, profound, and conservative images in the boxy and fitted silhouettes. 3) The silhouette and the jacket type of men's suit interacted with masculinity and the practicality. Fitted and slim silhouette suits had different images that looked adult, profound, and conservative depending on the jacket type, but the boxy silhouette suit did not show the same effect. 4) According to the MCA on the attractiveness and the naturalness, the jacket type affected the visual image of men's suit more than the silhouette. Double-breasted jacket suits had more sexy, refined, and chic image than the single-breasted jacket suits. Men's suits with a single-breasted jacket had a more comfortable and natural image than those with a double breasted jacket.
