Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze service occupation types and to develop training programs for the aged. Methods: This study used descriptive study design. The research process consisted of three stages: first, identified the demand of service manpower for the aged; second, investigated present jobs and education programs in Korea and Japan; and last, developed service jobs and education programs for the aged. Results: Potential users considered "health management" to be the most important area. They thought "providing job" as second most important. According to the result of analyzing Korean policies, there were 9 service occupations in 5domains. So, we derived 10 occupations such as 'daily living manager', 'care manager', 'care worker', 'health manager', 'education specialist', 'leisure manager', 'good manager', 'housing manager', 'financial specialist' and 'retirement consultant' in 5domains as healthcare, leisure, goods, housing and finance. Finally, we developed their tailored training programs. Conclusion: According to this study, there should be various occupations qualified by the government, and training programs should be settled. And healthcare providers must included in developing standardized training programs.

주얼리 상품의 디자인을 개발하려고 산학협동하여 수출상품을 개발하였다. 문화상품 전문제조업체인 (주)현대공방과 협약을 체결하여 한국의 특징적, 문화적 이미지를 표현하는 차별화된 디자인으로서 기업에 부가가치이익을 줄 수 있는 경쟁력 있는 상품이 되는데 디자인 방향을 정하였다. 국내의 첨단장비인 주얼 캐드와 R/P 시스템을 활용한 디자인의 고급화와 분업화, 전문성 확보, 아웃소싱의 제도적 정착을 기하고자 하였으며, 이러한 시도를 업계에 확산시킴으로서 경비절감과 협업화, 계열화, 조직화의 목적을 달성하여 수출산업에 기여하고자 하였다.

세계 강대국으로 자리매김하는 중국을 경제적 측면뿐 아니라 정치, 사회, 문화 등을 통합한 통찰력과 전문 지식을 요구하는 지역학적 입장에서 광범위하게 연구할 필요가 있다. 지역학 연구자의 범위 또한 산 관 학계를 포함하여 중국에 관심을 가진 일반 대중까지도 그 범위를 확대해볼 수 있다. 이때, 정보의 정확성, 다양성, 심층성을 두루 갖춘 중국 전문정보 포털사이트는 지역연구의 핵심 정보원이다. 중국 지역전문정보 포털사이트인 (China Specialist Forum: 이하 CSF)의 분석을 통해 중국지역연구의 콘텐츠 이용현황을 분석한다. CSF는 주요 콘텐츠의 활용현황, 인기자료, 회원직종별 방문비율, 페이지뷰를 통해 사이트 활용도, 사이트 유입방법, 방문국가, 사이트 충성도 등으로 분석한 결과 지난 10년간 운영된 단일주제의 전문정보 웹사이트로써 비교적 높은 이용자의 충성도를 보이고 있었다. 본 연구를 통해서 국가적인 차원에서 설계 구축된 CSF가 전문지식정보포털사이트로써 보다 효율적으로 이용되어 질 기획방안 구축에 기초가 되며, 더 나아가 중국정보의 효과적인 활용을 통해 한 중 경제발전에 토대를 마련하고 지역연구정보 체계확립에 이바지할 것으로 생각한다.

This study investigated the current curricula for the training of textile design specialists. In-depth interviews were conducted with 6 practitioners working in the textile design industry; subsequently, the curricula offered by 20 textile design-related departments at 4-year and 2-year colleges in Korea were used for the data analysis. The results of this study were: First, the problems of textile design education were (1) a limited understanding of commercial designs, (2) an education system concentrated on pattern designs, (3) limited creativity and design expression capacity, (4) limited practical ability and the analysis of collection. Second, most textile design departments at Korean colleges were located in the Seoul/Gyeonggi district and Gyeongbuk/Gyeongnam district. Third, textile material and imagination/expression subjects were a limited part of the curricula; subsequently, a long-term and systematic education system (by college year) was required for the use of basic education subjects. Fourth, there was a shortage of practical subjects in college education despite the perception of commercial designs; in addition, a professional design education (by material and use) were an important part of practical business.

If the collection of exhibit objects as well as exhibit planning are not in accord with the overall purpose of the exhibit, it will be difficult to attain satisfactory results. The present study focuses on the exhibit evaluation. The exhibit evaluation is very important because it allows the whole process of exhibit development to be reviewed, and it can point a way towards improving the exhibit. Research was conducted by literature review for the museum evaluation methods and by survey for the status of Korean exhibit evaluation. Several Korean History Museum Exhibitions were targeted as cases for this study. Structured and open-ended interviews with 70 museum specialists including curators and exhibit designers were conducted. In conclusion, museum evaluation methods were timely arranged first; front end analysis, second; formative evaluation, third; summative evaluation. Through the survey, one forth of museum specialist didn't have the concept of the exhibit evaluation. However they felt the importance of it.

Subway is a major transportation in the city that is allied to the daily life of people. As a public space, subway station must satisfy the citizens with convenience, safety and esthetic factors. The bench which is one of the major street furniture on the subway platform has a lot of physical contact. Therefore the design of benches must be considered in the aspects of not only aesthetic design but also ergonomic design. The goal of this study is to find out the current conditions and problems of benches and at the same time suggest how to arrange, design, and manage them at the proper manners at subway platform. The result of the study is as follows. First, the problems of design are that the benches at a same platform have various design, the saturation of color is too high, and the design is unfashionable. The second, at the management part there is no such a total management system and specialist for the street furniture section and lack of rational management regulations. The third, results of a new survey suggest that citizens think negatively about present bench's conditions such as design and administration.

Considering the impact of buildings beyond their outline to our environment is the first step towards sustainable architecture. As we are still in the early days of sustainable design and its technology, we should make predictions about the design options. architecture activities in project is needed to predict more locally, nationally, globally not only present but future energy demand. The role of the architects who pioneered sustainable design is significantly important, that is to say architects should become a team leader rather than the sole form-giver and come up with the integrated idea related to each field such as the structural, mechanical and electrical engineers includes an energy specialist, in some cases, an independent Design Facilitator. In other words architects have to suggest goals and alternatives for human-being and biodiversity to sustainable life as well as vision of architecture.

On-machine automatic measuring software from 3-D solid modeler is generally applied to assess the functional performance of a final produce for computer numerical control (CNC) machine. Automatic measuring software may also be performed on individual components of CNC machine in which some functional aspect of the component must be examined and cannot be implicity determined by means of a mechanical inspection. The manufacturing specialist, combined with the appropriate software simulation, can not only create the commands to drive the virtual measuring but also can check for mistakes by viewing the computer graphics simulation of the tool cutting sequence.

Purpose - This research examined the relationship between business orientation and business goals and satisfaction of Korean-American business owners. Research design/data/methodology - Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and Small Business Orientation (SBO) were the theoretical constructs underlying this research. The responses from 200 Korean-American business owners who participated in the 2005 National Minority Business Owner Surveys were used for data analysis. Results - Noneconomic business goal was positively related to business owners' SBO tendency, and those with a SBO tendency had the higher business satisfaction than those with EO. Conclusions - The findings suggest that policy makers should develop business assistance programs that correspond with owners' business orientation.

As the workers are getting old, they need to be expert in their fields. Expertise is an invaluable means of shipbuilding industries because of the technological advancements. Therefore, the workers have to attend training seminars and upgrade their technical knowledge. In shipbuilding industries, most workers operate transporters based on experience not on learning from specialization in the shipyard. It is needed for the workers of transporters to be educated technical manual and system. Thus, this research shows that educational system which is interactive and very effective with Augmented Reality(AR) for the non-specialist workers. The educational interactive system based on AR is very supportive and worth for the workers. This study considers the system which makes the workers reduce malfunction of the products and mistakes.
