In recent years, significant advances have been made enabling travel demand analysis and network design methods to be used as increasingly realistic evaluation tools. What has been lacking is the integration of travel demand analysis with network design models. This paper reviews some of advanced (integrated) modeling approaches and presents future research directions of integrated modeling system. To design urban transportation networks, it is argued that the travelers' free choice of mode, destination and route should be introduced into transportation network design procedure instead of assuming that trips from a zone to a workplace are fixed or deriving them in a normative procedure to achieve hypothetical system optima.

In this paper is presented the minimum cost (optimal design) for reinforced concrete circular isolated footings based on an analytic model. This model considers a load and two moments in directions of the X and Y axes, and the pressure has a variation linear, these are the effects that act on the footing. The minimum cost (optimal design) and the Maple program are shown in Flowcharts. Two numerical experiments are shown to obtain the minimum cost design of the two materials that are used for a circular footing supporting an axial load and moments in two directions in accordance to the code of the ACI (American Concrete Institute), and it is compared against the current design (uniform pressure). Also, the same examples are developed through the normal procedure to verify the minimum cost (optimal design) presented in this document, i.e., the equations of moment, bending shear and punching shear are used to check the thickness, and after, the steel areas of the footing are obtained, and it is compared against the current design (uniform pressure). Results section show that the optimal design is more accurate and more economical than to any other model. Therefore, it is concluded that the optimized design model presented in this paper should be used to obtain the minimum cost design for the circular isolated footings.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest directions for improving Authentication Of A Barrier-Free Living Environment(BF) of passenger facilities. Methods: We examined the parts (terms, Authentications, and dimensions) where the difference in the legal standards between the relevant items in the "ACT ON GUARANTEE OF PROMOTION OF CONVENIENCE OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, THE AGED, PREGNANT WOMEN, ETC." and the "ACT ON PROMOTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION CONVENIENCE OF MOBILITY DISADVANTAGED PERSONS", which are the basis of Authentication of BF for buildings and passenger facilities. We also mention the differences by comparing and analyzing Authentications of BF. In addition, we survey the current status of passenger facilities in Korea that have been granted and not granted Authentication of BF of passenger facilities. and we describe improvement directions of Authentications of BF. Implications: Improvement of Authentications of BF should be made in accordance with relevant laws, and improvement of Authentications of BF to reflect various situations in the field is needed. Authentications of BF according to the type of passenger facilities should be distinguished.

본 논문에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반의 GRS칩 구동 JNI 코드 응용 SW 설계 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반 동작 제스처 프레임 모듈 설계 제작하였다. 안드로이드 기반 모듈 설계, 안드로이드 기반 모듈 구현, 안드로이드 기반 기능 모듈 구현 설계로 응용애플리케이션 기반 네트워크 지원 API 기술 제안한 직렬 데이터 수신 모듈 설계를 하였다. 안드로이드 OS의 애플리케이션을 통해 무선 통신 디바이스로부터 데이터를 수신하기 위한 직렬 통신 드라이버, 라이브러리, 프레임워크의 클래스와 같은 안드로이드 애플리케이션을 통해 센서의 데이터 정보를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 안드로이드에서의 어플리케이션들은 자바를 이용하여 좌우상하 4방향의 동작 제스처를 판단할 수 있는 응용 SW를 구현하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of future users for services at senior congregate housing and to look into the development directions of the service standards for senior congregate housing. A survey was conducted among middle-aged people in their fifties, who lived in Seoul, using the systematic random sampling method. The final sample included 498 respondents. The survey was conducted from November 3, 2003 to November 14, 2003. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, as the need for housing services were high, it was quite clear that various services at senior congregate housing should be provided. Secondly, a service differentiation strategy should be proposed to meet the characteristics of the users. Thirdly, it was hereby suggested that service standards should be established in the following manner considering the relationship between the needs for services and the income level directly influencing the provision of services: 'Basic services' to be provided regardless of income, 'Optional services' to be selectable among the preferable services per income level, and 'Supportive services' to be provided for low-income people.

A field study of wind-induced internal pressures in a flexible and porous industrial warehouse with a single dominant opening, of various sizes for a range of moderate wind speeds and directions, is reported in this paper. Comparatively weak resonance of internal pressure for oblique windward opening situations, and hardly discernible at other wind directions, is attributed to the inherent leakage and flexibility in the envelope of the building in addition to the moderate wind speeds encountered during the tests. The measured internal pressures agree well with the theoretical predictions obtained by numerically simulating the analytical model of internal pressure for a porous and flexible building with a dominant opening. Ratios of the RMS and peak internal to opening external pressures obtained in the study are presented in a non-dimensional format along with other published full scale measurements and compared with the non-dimensional design equation proposed in recent literature.

This paper presents a design method of turning device for robotic assembly based on the verification of a instability for a base assembly. To derive the instability, first we inference collision free assembly directions by extracting separable directions for the part, and calculate the separability which gives informations as to how the part can be dasily separated. Using the result, we determine the instability evaluated by summing the all separabilites of each component part in base assembly. The proposed method gives a design guidance of turning device by evaluating a degree of the motion istability for the base assembly in flexible manufacturing application. An example is given to illustrate the concepts and procedure of the proposed scheme.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics and suggest the Improvement directions of the facilities in Recreational Forests. This study adopted such various analysis methods as reviewing related documents, surveying the existing sites, and using questionnaire to visitors and managers. The result of this study can be summarized as follows ; 1) The major facilities of Recreational Forests are the lodging, recreation, and sports ones. 2) The primary factor for the visitor's satisfaction is the quality of natural environment, but that for their dissatisfaction is the lack of variety of the available facility. 3) The major problems of facilities in Recreational Forests are their number and design. This study suggests the improvement of accessibility and design of the facilities in the Recreational Forests.

This study aims to investigate and analyze the actual conditions of the ecological ponds built in the campus sites of the elementary, middle and high schools which currently manage ecological ponds in order to find problems and directions for improvement concerning the management of the ponds as a way to build nature-friendly ecological ponds which can be used as an ecological work-study site on school campus: this study also intends to provide systematic and technological directions for the management and operation of the ecological pond. This study has selected 10 schools in North Chungcheong Province, where ponds are constructed, and investigated actual conditions of the ponds based on the survey, analysis, and evaluation standards compatible with the school environments, and finally judged the general relevancy of the ponds. The results of this study make us conclude that the most important issue to be considered in the processes of selection and investigation for school ecological pond is the location of the pond.

New buildings are to be needed for an aging society. But, there may be a solution on the multi-purpose & mixed-use existing facilities. Therefore this study is focused on verification of mixed-use school facilities's potentialities. If possible, I want to suggest some directions of renewal primary school planning. The results of this study are as follows : 1) It is important to make a policy for improving the educational environment, 2) Future buildings must be planned by the principles based on the lifelong learning, 3) Mixed-use building blocks need to be laid out by the concept of accessibility, 4) We can use existing primary school's areas as a elderly welfare facilities without any renovation and increasing areas.
