In this paper, we present a new LED (Light Emitting Diode) mood lighting system interacting with smartphones based on the generation of different light sequences. In the proposed system, one light sequence is considered to be one unit of the service contents, which is then transmitted through a network and played in an LED lighting system. To this end, we propose a novel generation scheme using a smartphone, and a decoding/playing mechanism in an LED lighting system. The lighting sequences have a fixed period divided into predefined time units. Two modes - basic and interpolation - are supported in each time unit when playing a color sequence. In the basic mode, the color is maintained for the entire time unit, whereas in the interpolation mode the color is interpolated. The sequence is decoded and played in the lighting circuit by changing the duty cycle of a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal. A demonstration system of the overall proposed method was using smartphones, a server and an LED lighting system. The results from this experiment show the validity and applicability of the proposed scheme.

Purpose: For the last few decades, TQM has become a hot topic in the inner-disciplinary field in the production management line. Still, unfortunately, the study of TQM and Quality Output management is partially only attached to the tangible side in the production management line. Whereas theoretically, the implications of TQM require incremental improvement in all management lines (e.g., HRM, Marketing, Operations, and Distribution Management). Therefore, starting from the main problem, this study aims to analyze the effect of total quality management, Organizational Culture, Perceived Distribution of Quality Awareness, and quality output through a more in-depth analysis. Research design, data and methodology: We conducted a survey of 170 respondents from managers, staff, and employees from 48 companies in Indonesia. We used a quantitative approach with the SEM method to answer this study's problem formulation and hypotheses. Results: The results of our research stated that based on the demonstration of statistical test results, all hypotheses were positive and significant, both direct and indirect relationship demonstrations. Conclusions: Universally, the findings in this study illustrate that the supporting factor for creating value-added in TQM and Quality output lies in the optimal and positive organizational culture and Perceived Distribution Quality Awareness factors in the organization.
In this study, risk assessment was conducted in case of leakage of storage facilities (tube trailer) using the HyKoRAM program developed through international joint research. The high-pressure gas facilities in the hydrogen filling station are divided into four main categories: storage facilities (tube trailers), processing facilities (compressors), compressed gas facilities, and filling facilities (dispensers). Among them, the design specifications of the tube trailer, which is a storage facility, and the surrounding environmental conditions were reflected to construct an accident scenario with previously occurring accidents and potential accidents. Through this, we identify the risks of storage facilities at hydrogen refueling stations and suggest measures to improve the safety of hydrogen charging stations.
This study was conducted using FLACS, a specialized gas accident analysis program. Hydrogen refueling stations subject of safety analysis, consist of compression facilities, storage tanks, and hydrogen piping. The safety analysis of potential risk factors was conducted after reflecting the design specifications of major facilities and components, environmental conditions around hydrogen refueling stations, etc. As of 2021, about 70 refueling stations in Korea are available, and 1,200 are scheduled to be introduced in the next 2040. To prepare for possible accidents caused by potential hazards for the safe distribution of hydrogen refueling stations, we intend to derive hydrogen leakage diffusion scenarios and review their safety.

An integral test facility, PILLAR, was commissioned, aiming to provide valuable experimental results which can be referenced by system and component designers and used for the performance demonstration of liquid-metal-cooled, passive small modular reactors (SMRs) toward their licensing. The setup was conceptualized by a scaling analysis which allows the vertical arrangements to be conserved from its prototypic reactor, scaled uniformly in the radial direction achieving a flow area reduction of 1/200. Its final design includes several heater rods which simulate the reactor core, and a single heat exchanger representing the steam generators in the prototype. The system behaviors were characterized by its data acquisition system implementing various instruments. In this paper, we present not only a detailed description of the facility components, but also selected experimental results of both steady-state and transient cases. The obtained steady-state test results were utilized for the benchmark of a system code, achieving a capability of accurate simulations with ±3% of maximum deviations. It was followed by qualitative comparisons on the transient test results which indicate that the integral system behaviors in passive LBE-cooled systems are able to be predicted by the code.

While the conventional vehicle's Head-Units played relatively simple roles (e.g., control of heating ventilation and air conditioning, the radio reception), they have been evolving into vehicle-driver interface with the advent of the concept of Connected Car on top of a rapid development of ICT technology. The Head-Unit is now successfully extended as an IVI (In Vehicle Infotainment) that can operate various functions on multimedia, navigation, information with regards to vehicle's parts (e.g. air pressure, oil gauge, etc.). In this paper, we propose a platform architecture for IVI devices required to achieve the goal as a connected car. Connected car platform (CoCaP) consists of vehicle selective gateway (VSG) for receiving and controlling data from major components of a vehicle, application framework including native and web APIs required to request VSG functionality from outside, and service framework for driver assistance. CoCaP is implemented using Tizen IVI and Android on hardware platforms manufactured for IVI such as Nexcom's VTC1010 and Freescale's i.MX6q/dl, respectively. For more practical verification, CoCaP platform was applied to an real-world finished vehicle. And it was confirmed the vehicle's main components could be controlled using various devices. In addition, by deriving several services for driver assistance and developing them based on CoCaP, this platform is expected to be available in various ways in connected car and ITS environments.

Purpose: This study aims to provide marketing implications for training and face-to-face service employee communication by analyzing how communication by Korean crews at foreign airlines affects passengers' perception and how this perception relates to airline service quality and customer satisfaction. Research design, data: The collection of questionnaires for the demonstration in this study has collected 300 questionnaires for about a month for Korean passengers who are aware of the presence of Korean crew on board aircraft. Results: The study analyzed the relationship between the communication ability, customer satisfaction, and reuse intention of foreign airlines. An empirical analysis of the relationship between quality of airline service, customer satisfaction, and intention of re-use can suggest the following implications based on the language and non-verbal communication capabilities of the Korean crew working for foreign airlines. Conclusions: We studied the impact of communication between Korean crews working for foreign airlines on the quality of airline service, customer satisfaction and reuse intention. The Korean crew should also work for overseas airlines and consider communication as important and expand their overall foreign language education and communication skills to have a positive impact on not only Korean passengers but also their own citizens.

Purpose This study aims to develop a work-related injury and illness monitoring geographic information system that analyzes and visualizes the types of work-related injury and illness based on workers' compensation insurance big data. Design/methodology/approach Using the developed system, we explained the process of monitoring the areas of the applied workplace, medical care application, index, and medical care institution. We also showed examples of analyzing the index and medical care institution area. By applying the system, we can intuitively recognize the current status of workers' compensation insurance and confirm the basic information necessary for managing the current status of workers' compensation insurance. Findings We generated more helpful information by combining workers' compensation insurance data and designated medical care institution data. We were able to apply the severity score and the vulnerability index of work-related injury and illness to the system as a demonstration. To efficiently manage workers' compensation insurance, it was necessary to integrate workers' compensation insurance and designated medical care institution data, as well as the data from various sources.
Safe underground construction in a rock mass requires adequate ground investigation and effective determination of rock conditions. The estimation of rock mass behavior is difficult, because rock masses are innately anisotropic and heterogeneous at different scales and are affected by various environmental factors. Quantitative rock mass classification systems, such as the Q-system and rock mass rating, are widely used for characterization and engineering design. The measurement of rock classification parameters is subjective and can vary among observers, resulting in questionable accuracy. Geophysical investigation methods, such as seismic surveys, have also been used for ground characterization. Torsional shear wave propagation characteristics in cylindrical rods are equal to that in an infinite media. A probabilistic quantitative relationship between the Q-value and shear wave velocity is thus investigated considering long-wavelength wave propagation in equivalent continuum jointed rock masses. Individual Q-system parameters are correlated with stress-dependent shear wave velocities in jointed rocks using experimental and numerical methods. The relationship between the Q-value and the shear wave velocity is normalized using a defined reference condition. This relationship is further improved using probabilistic analysis to remove unrealistic data and to suggest a range of Q-values for a given wave velocity. The proposed probabilistic Q-value estimation is then compared with field measurements and cross-hole seismic test data to verify its applicability.
