This study is related to the development of a design automation system for the construction design phase of steel structures. The system intended for beam splice friction connections using high-strength bolts. The standard design method and standardization principles that are suggested in the design manual for standard connections using high-strength bolts published by the Korean Society of Steel Construction(KSSC) were reviewed. A structural analysis algorithm was formulated from the review. A design automation system that can automatically calculate the structural design of connections and automatically generate the connection model without separate inputs was developed. To verify the validity of the developed system, its results were compared with the date in the table for the connection design in the Design Manual. The development system was also applied to the sample model. Then the structural design results were compared with the properties of the connection models and drawings created from the results.

Now a days the banks, with a wide spread of credit transaction practice in every business, offer better services to their customers, while the automation of banking is being made more rapid progress in th light of efficient banking service. For example, it is true that the automation of cash payment for customers goes on its progress and the competition between companies is getting more serious. Lately the banks that pursue "Banking Automation System" expand distribution of cash dispenser for the better electronic computer service and for the better service for their customers in quality. Therefore the makers producing "CD" accelerate their development of CD in various ways in order to secure M/S as the leading group of th field. CD, a kind of an automatic paying, is being used generally, and has various functions and its design is getting more compact than ever. Under this situation, I studied more trustworthy and convenient CD design suggestions in the way of case study on the basis of the process of developing CD and I suggest the better way of developing the design of CD in the future.

Government is supporting development of home networking. But, this new system is much expensive to introduce in the home. And limit for establishment is so many in the home. Therefore, in this paper, We escape from monotonic control of Home Automation and draw a plan Intelligent Home Automation to be developed. We reflect Home Network to the foundation and propose Home Automation on Ubiquitous Sensor Network, We Design of Ubiquitous Home Automation System for 35-Pyung Apartment Based on USN Environment. This becomes the Home Automatic Behavior System which is executed to the automatic to be improved.

Industrial robotic arms are widely adopted in numerous industries for manufacturing automation under factory settings, which eliminates the limitations of manual labor and provides significant productivity and quality benefits. The U.S. modular construction industry, despite having similar controlled factory environments, still heavily relies on manual labor. Thus, this study investigates the U.S., Canada, and Europe-based leading modular construction companies and research labs implementing industrial robotic arms for manufacturing automation. The investigation mainly considered the current research scope, industry state, and constraints, as well as identifying the types and specifications of the robotic arms in use. First, the study investigated well-recognized modular building associations, the Modular Building Institute (MBI), and renowned architecture design magazine, Dezeen to gather industry updates. The authors discovered one university lab and a few companies that adopted Switzerland-based robotic arms, ABB. Researching ABB robotics led to the discovery of ABB's competitor, Germany-based KUKA robotic arms. Consequently, research extended to the companies and labs adopting KUKA models. In total, this study has identified seven modular companies and four research labs. All companies employed robotic arms and gantry robot combinations in a production-line-like system for partial automation, and some adopted design standardization for optimization. The common goal among the labs was to achieve greater flexibility and full automation with robotic arms. This study will help companies better implement robotic arm automation by providing recommendations from investigating its current industry status.
This paper illustrates resonant tank design considerations and the implementation of a LLC resonant converter with a wide battery voltage range based on the fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA) analysis. Unlike the conventional design at zero load, the parameter K (the ratio of the transformer magnetizing inductor Lm to the resonant inductor Lr) of the LLC converter in this paper is designed with two charging points, (Vo_min, Io_max1) and (Vo_max, Io_max2), according to the battery charging strategy. A 2.9kW prototype with an output voltage range of 36V to 72V dc is built to verify the design. It achieves a peak efficiency of 96%.

This paper deals with the observer design problem for a class of state-delayed nonlinear systems with or without time-varying norm-bounded parameter uncertainty. The nonlinearities under consideration are assumed to satisfy the global Lipschitz conditions and appear in both the state and measured output equations. The problem we address is the design of a nonlinear observer such that the resulting error system is globally asymptotically stable. For the case when there is no parameter uncertainty, a sufficient condition for the solvability of this problem is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities and the explicit formula of a desired observer is given. Based on this, the robust observer design problem for the case when parameter uncertainties appear is considered and the solvability condition is also given. Both of the solvability conditions obtained in this paper are delay-dependent. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach.

As collaborative design and configuration design are of increasing importance in product development, it becomes essential to exchange the feature and parametric CAD models among participants. A history-based parametric method has been proposed and implemented. But each translator which exchanges the feature and parametric information tends to be heavy because to implement duplicated functions such as the identification of the selected geometries, mapping between features which have different attributes. Furthermore. because the history-based parametric translator uses the procedural model as the neutral format, which is the XML macro file, the history-based parametric translators need a geometric modeling kernel to generate an internal explicit geometric model. To ease the problem, we implemented a shared integration platform, the TransCAD. The TransCAD separates translators from the XML macro files. The translators for various CAD systems need to communicate with only the TransCAD. To support the communication with the TransCAD, we exposed the functions of the TransCAD by using the Automation APIs, which is developed by Microsoft. The Automation APIs of the TransCAD consist of the part modeling functions, the data extraction functions, and the utility functions. Each translator uses these functions to translate a parametric CAD model from the sending CAD system into the XML format, or from the in format into the model of the receiving CAD system This paper introduces what the TransCAD is and how it works for the exchange of the feature and parametric models.

Various drones have extended application area very fast. In this paper, we define two contradictions in designing a portable-size drone by using TRIZ technique. The first is a physical contradiction between high rigidity and good portability, and the second is a technical contradiction between high stability and good portability. Through TRIZ technique, six design principles, which guide direction for optimal design, were driven. Consequently, an umbrella mechanism and design criteria were proposed for a portable-size drone. Detail design is verified through finite element method. Test results for the portable-size prototype drone show good performance, and prove its usefulness to be equivalent to a general full-size drone.

This paper is concerned with the reliable $H_{\infty}$ controller design problem for uncertain linear systems against actuator failures. In the design, the $H_{\infty}$ performance of the closed-loop system is optimized during normal operation(without failures) while the system satisfies a prescribed $H_{\infty}$ performance level in the case of actuator failures. Single and parameter-dependent Lyapunov function approaches are applied in designing suboptimal reliable $H_{\infty}$ controllers. Simulation studies are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design procedures.
