CIM 환경에서의 현장관리시스템 (The Study of Shop Floor Control System Under CIM Environment)

  • In recent years there has been a tremendous upsurge of interest in Shop Floor Control System (SFCS) design and analysis. We reviewed current computer-aided shop floor control system. It is concluded that current methodologies support, in a very restricted sense, these planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities and that enhanced performance can be achieved via an integrated approach. In this paper we present an interdisciplinary approach to the development and installing of sophisticated shop floor control systems. Interdisciplinary design will form the basis of designing SFCS in new knowledge intensive era. Interdisciplinary design means more than just applying knowledge from other domains, such as psychology and organization science to design of SFCS. The interdisciplinary approach is verified by an illustrative case study.

슬라이딩모드를 이용한 다연수계통의 새로운 제어계통 설계방법 (A New Approach to Control System Design for Multivariable Systems Using Sliding Mode)

  • In this paper we present a new approach to control system design for multivariable systems using a sliding mode. In the applications of variable structure system (VSS) theory to multivariable systems, there exist some difficulties such as how to determine switching gains and how to reduce chattering phenomena in input and state trajectories. To cope with these drawbacks we introduce switching dynamics instead of switching logics to obtain the sliding mode. Consequently, we can obtain the new design approach which is much simpler than the VSS theory, And there do not exist chattering phenomena in this method because the obtained control inputs are continuous. Hierarchical control concepts are used to the control system design. Numerical examples are discussed as illustrations.

CONSISTENCY AND ASYMPTOTIC NORMALITY OF A MODIFIED LIKELIHOOD APPROACH CONTINUAL REASSESSMENT METHOD

  • The continual reassessment method (CRM) provides a Bayesian estimation of the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) in phase I clinical trials. The CRM has been proposed as an alternative design of the standard design. The CRM has been modified to improve practical feasibility and, recently, the likelihood approach CRM has been proposed. In this paper we investigate the consistency and asymptotic normality of the modified likelihood approach CRM in which the maximum likelihood estimate is used instead of the posterior mean. Small-sample properties of the consistency is examined using complete enumeration. Both the asymptotic results and their small-sample properties show that the modified CRML outperforms the standard design.

128-비트 블록 암호화 알고리즘 SEED의 저면적 고성능 하드웨어 구조를 위한 하드웨어 설계 공간 탐색 (A Hardware Design Space Exploration toward Low-Area and High-Performance Architecture for the 128-bit Block Cipher Algorithm SEED)

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 표준 128비트 블록 암호화 알고리즘인 SEED를 하드웨어로 설계할 경우 면적-성능간의 trade-off 관계를 보여준다. 본 논문에서 다음 4가지 유형의 설계 구조를 비교한다. (1) Design 1 : 16 라운드 완전 파이프라인 방식, (2) Design 2 : 단일 라운드의 반복 사용 방식 (3) Design 3 : G 함수 공유 및 반복 사용 방식 (4) Design 4 : 단일 라운드 내부 파이프라인 방식. (1),(2),(3)의 방식은 기존의 논문들에서 제안한 각기 다른 설계 방식이며 (4)번 설계 방식이 본 논문에서 새롭게 제안한 설계 방식이다. 본 논문에서 새롭게 제안한 방식은, F 함수 내의 G 함수들을 파이프라인 방식으로 연결하여 면적 요구량을 (2)번에 비해서 늘이지 않으면서도 파이프라인과 공유블록 사용의 효과로 성능을 Design 2와 Design 3보다 높인 설계 방식이다. 본 논문에서 4가지 각기 다른 방식을 각각 실제 하드웨어로 설계하고 FPGA로 구현하여 성능 및 면적 요구량을 비교 분석한다. 실험 분석 결과, 본 논문에서 새로 제안한 F 함수 내부 3단 파이프라인 방식이 Design 1 방식을 제외하고 가장 throughput 이 높다. 제안된 Design 4 가 단위 면적당 출력성능(throughput)면에서 다른 모든 설계 방식에 비해서 최대 2.8배 우수하다. 따라서, 새로이 제안된 SEED 설계가 기존의 설계 방식들에 비해서 면적대비 성능이 가장 효율적이라고 할 수 있다.

  • The negative memories which come from tragic events such as war, terror or various conflicts in modern cities have been threatening the mental health of city-dwellers. This thesis focuses on 'healing public space' that will help recover the life of city-dwellers who sustain various trauma. For this, the author investigated the significant memorial space through 1980-2010 from site visits, interviews, and related theses and books and then extracted necessary information from each period. This thesis aims to find the changes of the memorial concepts and visitor's reaction for last 30years. 1)1980-: Healing concept and visitor's positive response 2)1990-: Healing by emotional experience approaches to the memorial museum such as narrative approach, exhibition media using 5senses, interactive display and preserving trace, 3)early 2000-: Healing by architectural experience 4)2002-: present: Healing projects by various programs. Steady advances in memorial design for healing trauma are due to the efforts for emotional design approach to eeply move the visitors and the efforts have to be continued. The study emphasize the importance of attracting eople by experimental, emotional design contents not just by aesthetic and functional public design ideas.

Design Verification of APR1400 Reactor Vessel Through Re-engineering Approach

  • This paper describes verification of APR1400 reactor vessel by applying the system engineering approach, in which the design re-engineering method is used to check the design parameters of APR1400 RV (reactor vessel). The RV is classified as safety class 1 and therefore must adhere strictly to the rules of ASME BPVC section III, subsection NB and seismic category I. This study explores designing the RV by following the ASME guidelines and making a comparative study with the current design. To meet this objective we apply system engineering methodologies to structure the process and allow for verification and validation of the major RV design parameters such as thickness of RV. The structural thicknesses of various part of RV are determined as well as reinforcements on the RV major nozzles. A 3D virtual reality model was created based on the design parameters using CATIA V5 and animation using Dassault Composer V2016. A comparison of re-engineered ARP1400 RV and standard APR1400 RV was done to show which design parameters were taken more conservative approach.

파라메트릭 기법을 고속 단동선의 NURBS 모델링 (Construction of NURBS Model for Preliminary High-Speed Monohull Design Based on Parametric Approach)

  • An approach to model a high-speed monohull vessel is introduced. The high-speed monohull form belonging to the category of multihull is drawing new attention, due to the rapidly growing trend of fast passenger ships and military purpose. Multihull forms are much thinner in their overall shape, compared to those of the conventional commercial vessels. Moreover, the parent hull forms are not readily obtainable when a new design is intended, which makes it hard to perform various technical calculations in terms of hull optimization, hydrodynamic computation, structural design, and so forth. In this paper, a parametric technique is used to design a high-speed hull form. To model a hull form, NURBS (Non Uniform Rational B-Spline) representation is used. The goal of research is to provide a fast and convenient tool to design an initial hull form with fewer parameters available in the early design stage. The technique employed in this paper will be applied to the design of multihull forms, such as catamaran, trimaran, and semi-swath.

A Heuristic Approach Solving for the Complex Design Process in the Quality Function Deployment

  • Viewed as a more systematic approach of creating high quality products and bringing them into market at a lower cost and in significantly less time, it attracts the attention of quality designers to quality function deployment (QFD) approach. In attempt to reduce the design cycle, the industry has responded with concurrent design effort. In a sense, concurrent engineering refers to the integration of various activities within the broad scope of the product life cycle [17]. Over the last ten years, much has been written about QFD but little has been available in terms of the underlying guide methodology. The methodology of QFD is quite simple and many will say that they have done it in the past but just have not formalized it into the form that this discipline requires. QFD ties the product, user, value, and manufacturing viewpoints together in a continuous process of defining the product design and manufacturing requirements. The value viewpoint recognizes the cost to obtain certain functionality, and the manufacturing viewpoint addresses conformance to requirements, but in a broader sense, the variability in production. In this paper, the QFD system acquisitions are described, and two heuristic approaches solving for the complex design process, especially the size reduction of design process and precedence-constrained relationship in QFD are proposed, and the empirical example is illustrated.

  • This study dealt with approaches in architecture and music in the contemporary situation characterized by accidence and uncertainty through Pierre Boulez and Rem Koolhaas' works. First of all, we examined basic positions with starting from zero degree breaking from fixed ideas and with relative neutrality. Then, from a methodological aspect, we inquired into 1) anti-hierarchical objective approach, 2) accidental approach to form. 3) diagram of structure and event, and 4) the use of selective routes. Lastly, from a receptive aspect, we dealt with the space of pluralistic perspective and works in progress. The two persons used chaosmos approach that enables adjustment and control through structure defining the relationship with accidence or chaos. With the approach, they created works in progress or open works that have a pluralistic viewpoint working in the field of specific relation and the concept of endless regeneration.

Modeling Approaches for Dynamic Robust Design Experiment

  • In general, there are three kinds of methods in analyzing dynamic robust design experiment: loss model approach, response function approach, and response model approach. In this talk, we review the three modeling approaches in terms of several criteria in comparison. This talk also generalizes the response model approach based on a generalized linear model. We develop a generalized two-step optimization procedure to substantially reduce the process variance by dampening the effect of both explicit and hidden noise variables. The proposed method provides more reliable results through iterative modeling of the residuals from the fitted response model. The method is compared with three existing approaches in practical examples.
