The purpose of this research is to study the types of name spectrum and their characteristics of domestic men's wear brands focusing on formal and casual wear and also examine the differences based on the type of brands' product and brand style. Total 184 of men's wear brands, which were consisted of 66 formal wear brands and 84 casual wear brands, were selected from '2009 Korea Fashion Yearbook'. For data analysis, quantitatively evaluated the frequency and qualitatively evaluated the image of brand product and the meaning of brand name. The result as follows; 1. The domestic fashion brands for men's wear appeared to have four types of name spectrum. The descriptive name was the most frequently showed, and followed by arbitrary, suggestive, and coined name. For formal wear brands, four types of name spectrum were appeared in the order of descriptive, suggestive, coined, and arbitrary name. In casual wear brands, three types of name spectrum were appeared in the order of descriptive, arbitrary, and suggestive name. 2. The characteristics of men's brand name according to their name spectrum was as follows.; In the descriptive brand names, person's name was used the most and some ascribed the characteristics, feature or geographic location of the product. The suggestive brand names contained images and symbols of the product and also implied the relevant benefit information in a particular product context. In the arbitrary brand name, they imply the various meanings according to the product and are made up of either coined or natural. For the coined name, some bear the ideology or symbolized the characteristics of product itself. 3. The descriptive name spectrum showed the most in domestic menswear brands, regardless of the brand type. Except this, there were differences in the type and the frequency of name spectrum depending on the brand type.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the quality characteristics and descriptive analysis of Yanggaeng prepared with Lycii fructus extract (LD). LD were added in ratios (w/w) of 0 (C), 1.5 (LY1), 3.0 (LY2), 4.5 (LY3), and 6% (LY4), and then proximate compositions, physicochemical properties, and sensory evaluations of the Yanggaeng were measured LY1~LY4 samples showed higher contents of crude lipid, crude protein and crude ash as well as $^{\circ}Brix$ compared to control (p<0.001). pH and lightness (L) of samples decreased as the LD increased. With regard to the texture of Yanggaeng samples, the scores of hardness, adhesiveness, springness, and cohesiveness was significantly increased by the Addition of LD (p<0.05, p<0.01). For the descriptive analysis, ten panelist generated and evaluated 29 sensory attributes for the Yanggaeng, and there were significant differences among the samples for all 26 sensory attributes. For the descriptive data, principal component analysis (PCA) was performed to summarize the sensory characteristics of the Yanggaeng. The results of PCA showed that the positive attributes, e.g. savoury, were closely in relationship with LY2 and LY3. Form the findings, this study suggests that 3~4.5% addition of LD was effective for preparation of Yanggaeng in the aspects of the consumer acceptability.

Availability, awareness and use of electronic resources provide access to authoritative, reliable, accurate and timely access to information. The use of electronic information resources (EIRs) can enable innovation in teaching and increase timeliness in research of postgraduate students which will eventual result into encouragement of the expected research-led enquiry in this digital age. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. Samples of 300 of postgraduate students within seven out 13 Faculties were randomly selected. Data were collected using questionnaire designed to elicit response from respondents and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics methods percentages, mean, and standard deviation. Results indicated that internet was ranked most available and used in the university. Low level of usage of electronic resources, in particular, full texts data bases is linked to a number of constraints: Interrupted power supply was ranked highest among other factors as speed and capacity of computers, retrieval of records with high recall and low precision, retrieving records relevant to information need, lack of knowledge of search techniques to retrieve information effectively, non possession of requisite IT skills and problems accessing the internet. The study recommended that usage of electronic resources be made compulsory, intensifying awareness campaigns concerning the availability, training on use of electronic resources and the problem of power outage be addressed.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the mediating effect of critical thinking dispositions in the relationship between ego-resilience and clinical practice competency. Method: This study used a descriptive design with a survey method. A total of 193 nursing students were recruited from 4 colleges of nursing in C city, and A and B province in Korea. The data was collected using questionnaires from October 6, 2017 to October 24, 2017. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis. Result: There were showed significant positive relationships of clinical practice competency with ego-resilience. In addition, critical thinking dispositions had a partial mediating role in the relationship between ego-resilience and clinical practice competency. Conclusion: This study identified the mediating effects of critical thinking dispositions and how to improve clinical practice competency. The results of this study can be used as basic data for establishing an educational approach to enhance clinical practice competency, which is considered a key competency for nursing college students.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediator effect of major satisfaction in relation to depression and job-seeking stress of university students according to the majors. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in three universities randomly chosen from 47 universities in Seoul, Korea. Participants were 241 undergraduate students who were eligible and agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected from October 27 to November 10, 2014. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson correlation coefficients, simple and multiple regression techniques with the PASW/WIN 20.0 program. Results: There were significant negative, negative, and positive correlations between job-seeking stress and major satisfaction, major satisfaction and depression, and job-seeking stress and depression regardless of major field, respectively. Moreover, in the major group in natural science and engineering, the link between job-seeking stress and depression was partially mediated by major satisfaction. Conclusion: The findings of this study contribute to providing basic data for the development of job-seeking stress and depression intervention programs and future study for university students.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the knowledge and practice on hospital infection prevention of caregivers of hospitalized children. The results will be the basic data of future policy and education program for hospital infection prevention. Methods: A descriptive survey design was utilized, The subjects included 151 caregivers from a university hospital in Gyeongnam Province, Korea. The data was collected using a self-reported questionnaire which included 17 items for knowledge, 18 items for practice, developed by researchers from March 2005 to January 2006. The collected data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA using SPSS program. Results: The mean score of knowledge on infection prevention was .87 of 1 (especially low in method of hand washing item), and practice, 2.60 of 3 (especially low in protection from other people items). There were differences in practice by admission frequency (F=2.83, p = .04), but there were no differences in knowledge by any general characteristics. Conclusion: The degree of knowledge and practice on caregiver's infection prevention was not enough to prevent hospital infection of hospitalized children. Therefore, effective strategies should be developed to prevent hospital infection of hospitalized children.
Purpose: The study was undertaken to investigate effects of susceptibility to musculoskeletal disorder, social support, and environmental aids on exercise adherence intention and to identify factors contributing to exercise adherence intention among university students. Methods: The study was a descriptive study with 277 students from 3 universities. Data were collected from March 5 to May 30, 2014 using a structured self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and Hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The explanatory power of the predictive model involving the demographic factors, susceptibility to musculoskeletal disorder, social support, and environmental aids was 29%, and the subjects' gender, health concern, experience of musculoskeletal injury, regular exercise, and social support were identified as main factors having influence. Conclusion: The results of this study will be helpful in understanding the importance of environmental factors for increasing physical activities and will be used as basic data for development of exercise programs to increase exercise adherence intention for their continuous exercise.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore nurses' access and use of information resources and to identify the barriers and competency to evidence based practice (EBP). This study used descriptive method to identify baseline data for the purpose of developing strategies for establishing EBP in clinical nursing practice. Methods: Participants in this study were 278 nurses from five hospitals in Daegu and Kyungsangbukdo. The data were collected by self administered questionnaires and SPSS/WIN 15.0 program was used to analyze the data with descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and ANOVA. Results: Nurses reported $^*most$ frequently using paper and human resources. The mean score of barriers was $3.02{\pm}0.41$, and competency was $2.70{\pm}0.50$. The reported competency was correlated with nurse factors (r=-.31, p<.001) organization factors (r=-.20, p<.001) and research factors (r=-.12, p<.040) as the barriers to evidence based practice. Conclusion: To promote competency in EBP and to decrease the barriers, it would be necessary to develop the organizational culture that encourages nurses to be involved in research activities. In addition, the development of systemic methods to introduce and establish an education program for facilitating EBP in the clinical settings is needed.
Purpose: This descriptive correlation study was conducted to investigate factors affecting the absence of adult workers according to their gender. Methods: Secondary data analysis was carried out using data from the fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey. Data on respondents' demographic characteristics, working conditions, health status, and absence were analyzed; a descriptive analysis, χ2-test, t-test, and logistic regression analysis were carried out. Results: The factors that had the greatest impact on male workers' absence from work were service workers (2.74 times; B=.99), having more than 53 hours of work per week (1.17 times; B=.52), and when subjective health conditions were not satisfied (2.27 times; B=.82), whereas the factors that affected female workers' absence the most were a monthly income of 3 million won or more (2.74 times; B=1.34), a weekly work time of 53 hours (2.02 times; B=.71), and having a fewer number of sleep disorders (B=-.36). Conclusion: This study suggests that not only the national interest should be considered in investigating the factors affecting absence but also the enterprise. Systematic support for the health care of workers is also needed.
