Method: As a descriptive research, it selected evaluation factors from the aspects of structure, process, and result and analyzed 25-month activities. The data analysis was done with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and contents analysis. Result: The mobile bathing services were performed for 67 days during the evaluation period and it was 88.2% of the number of expected activity days. The volunteers participated in the activities were 293 and they provided the service for 124 people. The expense per service provision was 97,771 won. Both recipients and volunteers were highly satisfied with this service. Also, the broadcasting on the activities and awards enhanced volunteers' pride. Conclusion: The mobile bathing services linked with the service program as a part of major course. In particular, the service strengthens problem-solving abilities of nursing students, so it is necessary to develop the mobile bathing services into the service program in pursuit of learning by action.

  • The purpose of the study was to provide the basic information that is needed to build marketing strategies related to consumers' brand-switching, through investigation into sport shoe consumers' motivations for brand-switching, as determined by their age and gender. The study was implemented by means of a descriptive survey method using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 534 consumers between the ages of 13 and 59, residing in the Seoul area. The survey for the study was conducted during the period of October 10 through December 5, in 2008. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's Test were employed for the analysis of data gathered. The results revealed that there are differences with regard to the degree that the functional/aesthetic factors of sport shoes contribute to the motivation for brand-switching, when assessed with respect to the age and gender of consumers. The contributory degrees of situational factors and social/emotional curiosity factors of consumers are also different with regard to the motivation for brand-switching behavior of sport shoe consumers in accordance with their age and gender. Therefore, marketing strategies related to brand-switching behavior will be more effective when they are differentiated according to the target age and gender, even with respect to the same type of product, such as sport shoes.

  • Purpose: The aim of this research was to determine knowledge and management of tracheal tube cuffs among nurses of ICU. Methods: This descriptive survey recruited 150 nurses working at 8 different adult ICUs within 2 tertiary hospitals in Seoul. A survey questionnaire was developed to measure cuff management. The internal reliability of the tool was examined by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Descriptive statistics and multiple regressions were used to analyze data. Results: Among the 150 nurses, 94.0% replied that they would measure the pressure themselves. With regard to nurses' knowledge about tracheal tube cuffs, only 6% answered that they knew 'the appropriate cuff pressure'. The existence of a measuring device (p < .001), a guideline (p < .001), the level of knowledge on its related complications(p = .003), and clinical experience (p < .001) together accounted for 35.0% of the total variation in cuff management. They pointed out that the lack of time and the lack of education were major barriers to appropriate management; whereas education update was the most imperative factor for good management. Conclusion: ICU nurses have inappropriate knowledge and practice in cuff management. Therefore continuing education is necessary for better practice of tracheal tube cuff management.
