CAttNet: A Compound Attention Network for Depth Estimation of Light Field Images

  • Depth estimation is one of the most complicated and difficult problems to deal with in the light field. In this paper, a compound attention convolutional neural network (CAttNet) is proposed to extract depth maps from light field images. To make more effective use of the sub-aperture images (SAIs) of light field and reduce the redundancy in SAIs, we use a compound attention mechanism to weigh the channel and space of the feature map after extracting the primary features, so it can more efficiently select the required view and the important area within the view. We modified various layers of feature extraction to make it more efficient and useful to extract features without adding parameters. By exploring the characteristics of light field, we increased the network depth and optimized the network structure to reduce the adverse impact of this change. CAttNet can efficiently utilize different SAIs correlations and features to generate a high-quality light field depth map. The experimental results show that CAttNet has advantages in both accuracy and time.

Effect of seeding depth on seedling growth and dry matter partitioning in American ginseng

  • Greenhouse and field experiments with American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius L.) stratified seed sown at depths of 10 to 100 mm were carried out to determine effects of seeding depth on seedling emergence, growth and development and to calculate optimum seeding depth. The time to 50% seedling emergence ($E_{50}$) in the field increased linearly from 17 d at 20 mm seeding depth to 42.5 d at 80 mm. Seedling emergence and root weight (economic yield) at the end of the first year each increased quadratically with the increase of seeding depth. Maximum emergence and root yields were produced at sowing depths of 26.9 and 30.6 mm respectively. In a greenhouse pot experiment, increasing seeding depth from 10 to 100 mm increased partitioning of dry matter to leaves from 23.6% to 26.1%, to stems from 6.9% to 14.2%, and decreased dry matter to roots from 69.5% to 59.7%. Optimum seeding depth was 31.1 mm for a corresponding maximum root weight of 119.9 mg. A predictor equation [X (seeding depth, mm)=Y (seed weight, mg)/9.1+20.96] for seeding depth for ginseng, based on data for ten vegetable crops, their seed weights and suggested seeding depths, predicted a seeding depth of 28.3 mm for ginseng similar to that reported above for most pot and field experiments.

  • SiC는 Si에 비해서 Breakdown field가 10배 높고, Energy gap이 3배 높기 때문에 높은 Breakdown voltage를 갖는 우수한 전력 MOSFET을 제작할 수 있다. 하지만 낮은 Mobility로 인한 높은 On저항을 갖기 때문에 이를 낮추기 위해서 Trench MOSFET이 제안되었지만 동시에 BV가 감소한다는 문제점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 1200V급 Trench MOSFET 설계를 목적으로 하며, 이를 해결하기 위해서 BV와 Ron에 대한 중요한 변수인 Epi 깊이, Trench 깊이, Trench 깊이에서 Epi 깊이까지의 거리에 대한 Split을 진행하여 최대 전계, BV, Ron의 신뢰성 특성을 비교 분석하였다. Epi 깊이가 증가할수록, Trench 깊이가 감소할수록, Trench 깊이에서 Epi 깊이가 감소할수록 최대 전계 감소, BV 증가, Ron 증가를 확인하였다. 모든 결과는 Sentaurus TCAD를 통해 Simulation 되었다.

편향전자석의 자장변화에 따른 광자선 선질평가에 관한 고찰 (Study of photon beam quality tool at magnetic field change in bending magnet)

  • Beam quality is changed about magnetic field of bending magnet. Evaluation of beam quality using PDD(Percentage Depth Dose) at 10cm depth at recommendation of AAPM(America Academy of Pain Medicine). However this evaluation shows fragmentary element. Therefore this study is applied to three value, 10cm divided by 5cm depth PDD, 20cm divided by 10cm depth PDD, 30cm divided by 20cm depth PDD, at change the magnetic field. PDD is measured at magnetic field changed ${\pm}1%$, ${\pm}2%$ at 6MV(Mega Voltage), 10MV photon. The plan technique is 3 portal plan using Core-Plan at human pelvic phantom. Conventional and presented methods are compared at maximum and minimum dose. The presented method increased discernment of relieve the unequal distribution and energy area than conventional method. Henceforth, application of presented method will be considered. Development of energy measurement method and detector miniaturization will be needed about continuous study.

The Anisotropy of the London Penetration Depth and the Upper Critical Field in C-doped $MgB_2$ Single Crystals from Reversible Magnetization

  • We have studied the anisotropy of the London penetration depth of carbon doped $MgB_2$ single crystals, which was obtained from reversible magnetization measurements with the magnetic field both parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis. Similar to the pure $MgB_2$, the anisotropy of the upper critical field ${\gamma}_H$ decrease with temperature while the anisotropy of the London penetration depth ${\gamma}_{\lambda}$ slowly increases with temperature. However, the temperature dependence of ${\gamma}_H$ is drastically reduced and the value of ${\gamma}_{\lambda}$ becomes nearly ~1 as C is introduced. These results indicate that C substitution increases impurity scattering mainly in the $\sigma$ bands. The temperature dependence of the anisotropies agree well with the theoretical predictions with impurity scattering.

6MV X선에 있어서 쇄기형 조사야와 개방 조사야 사이의 깊이 선량률의 차이 (Variation in Depth Dose Data between Open and Wedge Fields for 6 MV X-Rays)

  • Tatcher식에 의하여 조직최대선량비와 깊이선량을 6MV X-선의 중심축상에서 측정하였다. 쐐기형 조사야에 있어서 깊이, 조사야 및 쐐기의 두께 등이 증가할수록 깊이선량은 개방 조사야에 비하여 크기가 증가하였다. 그러나 쐐기형 조사야에 있어서 조직산란보정 계수는 개방 조사야에 비하여 그 차이가 $1\%$ 미만이었다. 두 조사야에 있어서 중심축상의 깊이선량백분률의 차이가 발생하는 것은 쐐기에 의해서 X-선이 강화됨을 의미한다. 같은 각도의 쇄기에서 깊이선량백분률과 산란보정계수의 명목쐐기형 조사야와 유효쐐기형 조사야사이의 차이는 없었다. 개방조사야에서 조사야 $6cm{\times}6cm$, 깊이 7cm의 깊이선량백분률은 명목 또는 유효쐐기형 조사야 보다 $3.26\%$가 더 컸다. 그러나 조사야 $(10cm{\times}10cm)$가 커질수록 깊이선량백분률의 차이는 명목 또는 유효쐐기형 조사야보다 더 증가하였다-선량계측차이는 깊이 7cm에서 $3.56\%$, 12cm에서는 $5.30\%$였다 그러므로 심부종양치료시 선량의 계산이나 모니터세팅은 각 쐐기의 깊이 백분선량률과 투과율을 사용하여야 오차를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

교란지 복구를 위한 표토의 매토종자 발아특성 - 예산군의 나지와 묵밭 토양- (Seed Germination of Surface Soil for Restoration of Disturbance Place - Bare Land and abandoned Field, Yesan-gun, Korea -)

  • To offer the basic data of vegetation restoration by buried seed of soil, this research was conducted at bare land and abandoned field in Yesan-gun. Germination plants of buried seed were consisted of 40 taxa (37 species, 3 varieties) in bare land, and 41 taxa (37 species, 4 varieties) in abandoned field. Classification of germination plants by family was the most in Gramineae, and emergent frequency of plots was the highest of Digitaria ciliaris. The soil depth of the most plants appearance was 2~5cm in bare land and 5~10cm in abandoned field, and the soil depth of the most population appearance was 0~2cm both in bare land and in abandoned field. Population number of buried seed germination was decreased according to soil depth. Crepidiastrum sonchifolium was a plant that population number of buried seed germination is the most. Similarity index was 0.33 in aerial part plants and buried seed plants, and 0.55 in bare land and abandoned field.

  • 자율 주행 로봇에서 장애물 회피 기능은 핵심적인 것이다. 포텐셜 필드는 이 분야에 가장 많이 사용되어온 방법이다. 이것은 장애물의 최근접 점을 실시간으로 계산해야 하는데 이를 위해 거리 센서 데이터 프로파일로 부터 안정적으로 장애물 영역을 분할해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 분할 없이 각 장애물의 최근접 점을 실시간으로 구할 수 있는 Active Min-Depth Filter를 제안한다. 다양한 센서 노이즈 환경에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통해 Active Min-Depth Filter의 강인성을 확인할 수 있었고 실제 이동 로봇 적용하여 성공적인 결과를 얻었다.

깊이카메라를 이용한 파고장 계측 시스템의 구축 (Development of Wave Height Field Measurement System Using a Depth Camera)

  • The present study suggests the application of a depth camera for wave height field measurement, focusing on the calibration procedure and test setup. Azure Kinect system is used to measure the water surface elevation, with a field of view of 800 mm × 800 mm and repetition rate of 30 Hz. In the optimal optical setup, the spatial resolution of the field of view is 288 × 320 pixels. To detect the water surface by the depth camera, tracer particles that float on the water and reflects infrared is added. The calibration consists of wave height scaling and correction of the barrel distortion. A polynomial regression model of image correction is established using machine learning. The measurement results by the depth camera are compared with capacitance type wave height gauge measurement, to show good agreement.

시추공자력계를 이용한 기초파일 근입심도 추정 (Borehole magnetics for the estimation of unknown foundation pile depth)

  • There is an increasing need for the estimation of foundation piles whose depths are unknown. Especially in repair and reinforcement works or in safety inspection and assessment to the big structures whose foundations are piles, the accurate information about the depth of foundation piles is one of the most important factors. A borehole magnetic tool has been developed and tested to meet this object. The fundamental base is that there usually exist many re-bars inside the foundation structure such as piles, and these re-bars are ferromagnetic materials which cause strong induced magnetic field comparable to the earth magnetic field. It utilizes flux-gate type magnetometer which measures 3-components of the magnetic field. Taking vertical derivatives of vertical component of the measured magnetic field, we can expect the error limit of estimating the depth of the pile end less than 20 cm in favorable condition. The maximum measurable distance is about 3 m to the pile from the borehole. The field data show that borehole magnetics is one of the most accurate, fast, and reliable methods for this object so far, as long as there is no magnetic materials such as deep located steel pipe or power cables close to the foundation piles.
