  • The development of stereoscopic display hardwares and 3D authoring softwares expands its application areas from particular virtual simulation applications to general movies, games, advertising applications. However, the binocular-based 3D stereoscopic images cause fatigue to viewers. Recent performed many research results about the binocular stereoscopy's depth perception and viewers' fatigue are derived from experimental users studies. In some results, watching and making guidelines for 3D stereoscopic imaging contents are introduced. The 3D stereoscopic-related contents have the contradictory aspects, which are audiences' pursuit of a tolerable minimum fatigue and producer's its of excessive depth changes for providing viewers' immersion. This paper provides user experiments and analysis data in aspects of 3D depth changes. For use of producers, a safety zone and translational velocity of 3D depth changes are introduced. Also, on the viewer side, we present the depth change adaptation time by using an EEG device.

  • Using the extensive datasets, I analyze the effect of tick size changes on the intraday patterns of spread and depth. I show that intraday variations in spread (depth) are greater (smaller) with smaller tick size during the early hour of trading and become smaller (larger) during the last hour of trading. And the standardized spreads (depths) are quoted at the lower (higher) levels as the tick size becomes smaller. I also find that U-shaped intraday spread pattern changes to the reverse flat S-shape while inverted U-shaped depth pattern does to the flat S-shape.

  • The purpose of this study was to grasp actual condition of remodeling elements by specialists' in-depth interviews. The interview has been conducted to interior designer who have a wide experience of apartment remodeling. In-depth interview is a kind of qualitative method in which attention to reply of responses with open-access between interviewer and respondents. According to the results, remodeling elements were generally the renovation of balcony into the livingroom or children room, removal a doorsill, installation of storage furniture, change of lighting fixtures in the all rooms and change equipments of bathroom. Finishing materials were usual used normal wallpaper and normal or low emitting adhesive on ceiling and wall, tempered-flooring on floor, and ceramic tiles on bottom and wall of bath and entrance.

  • In this study, the change in diffusion coefficient and wear characteristic with depth in the carbonitriding layer of SCM415 steel was discussed. To determine the diffusion coefficient, depth profile of carbon was measured from the surface using the Glow Discharge Spectrometer. In otherwise, measurements of carbide fraction, micro vickers hardness of surface and observation of microstructure have been implemented through the SEM image. $Fe_3$(C,N) layer and effective depth were increased as the time for carbonitriding takes longer. According to wear experiment, the results showed that wear resistance was improved by $Fe_3$(C,N) layer and effective depth.

  • The purpose of this investigation was to examine the pattern of progression of periodontitis and the change in the extent and severity of the periodontal condition in young adults. Fourteen subjects with periodontitis, 11 males and 3 females in the age range 22-26, participated in the study. Following a baseline examination, the subjects were monitored for gingival index, probing pocket depth, gingival recession, probing attachment level and radiogrphic crestal bone height for 24 months without therapy. Re-examination were performed after 12 and 24 months. Gingival index, probing pocket depth, gingival recession and probing attachment level were assesed at 6 locations per tooth, and crestal bone height was assessed by subtraction radiography. The results from the follow-up examination revealed that the subjects underwent minor changes with respect to a series of different clinical parameters. The mean values of gingival index was improved, however, the mean values of probing pocket depth, gingival recession, probing attchment level and crestal bone height showed no significant change between baseline and the re-examination after 1 and 2 years.

  • This paper describes the effect of span-to-depth ratio, which describes aspect of cell formed with top diaphragm steel plate, on capacity in composite steel-concrete structure of sandwich system. The span-to-depth ratio \ulcorner load-carrying mechanism and load-distribution capacity of structure. Therefore, stress levels of members and load-resis\ulcorner of system vary according to span-depth ratio. In this study, numerical nonlinear analysis was performed to various ratio for two types(MA, MB) composite structure of sandwich system to analyze the influence of span-to-depth ratio or, behavior. The difference of load-carrying mechanism and stress of members results from analysis results, then bas\ulcorner differences, the effects of span-to-depth ratio on shear capacity, flexural capacity and load-resistance capacity were analyze effects on failure mode and ductility were briefly. As a results of this study, as span-to-depth ratio increases, \ulcorner bottom steel plate and concrete lower. This implies an increase in effective flexural and shear capacity. Therefore lo\ulcorner capacity of structure improves as span-to-depth ratio increases, Especially, the effect is greate in shear than flexural span-to-depth ratio increases, this difference between flexural and shear capacity may change failure mode and ductility. span-to-depth ratio increases capacity increases more than flexural capacity, we should expect that structural behavior mode gradually change from shear to flexural and ductility of structure gradually improves.

  • In order to evaluate the behavior patterns of the ring beam by excavation at the vertical wall with circular section, the measured field datum were analyzed and evaluated in this study. Additionally, stress patterns of the ring beam with the change of excavation depth were estimated by using FE analysis. As the results, it was shown that the tendency of the measured values for the behavior patterns of the ring beam is similar to the analyzed values in FE analysis. From the tendency, it was confirmed that the behaviors of the ring beam due to change of excavation depth can predict by FE analysis using the suggested method in this study.

  • Recognition of human motions has become a main area of computer vision due to its potential human-computer interface (HCI) and surveillance. Among those existing recognition techniques for human motions, head detection and tracking is basis for all human motion recognitions. Various approaches have been tried to detect and trace the position of human head in two-dimensional (2D) images precisely. However, it is still a challenging problem because the human appearance is too changeable by pose, and images are affected by illumination change. To enhance the performance of head detection and tracking, the real-time three-dimensional (3D) data acquisition sensors such as time-of-flight and Kinect depth sensor are recently used. In this paper, we propose an effective feature extraction method, called adaptive local binary pattern (ALBP), for depth image based applications. Contrasting to well-known conventional local binary pattern (LBP), the proposed ALBP cannot only extract shape information without texture in depth images, but also is invariant distance change in range images. We apply the proposed ALBP for head detection and tracking in depth images to show its effectiveness and its usefulness.

  • Beam quality is changed about magnetic field of bending magnet. Evaluation of beam quality using PDD(Percentage Depth Dose) at 10cm depth at recommendation of AAPM(America Academy of Pain Medicine). However this evaluation shows fragmentary element. Therefore this study is applied to three value, 10cm divided by 5cm depth PDD, 20cm divided by 10cm depth PDD, 30cm divided by 20cm depth PDD, at change the magnetic field. PDD is measured at magnetic field changed ${\pm}1%$, ${\pm}2%$ at 6MV(Mega Voltage), 10MV photon. The plan technique is 3 portal plan using Core-Plan at human pelvic phantom. Conventional and presented methods are compared at maximum and minimum dose. The presented method increased discernment of relieve the unequal distribution and energy area than conventional method. Henceforth, application of presented method will be considered. Development of energy measurement method and detector miniaturization will be needed about continuous study.
