주관적 구강보건지식과 구강건강행태가 개인구강위생관리능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Subjective Oral Health Knowledge and Oral Health Behavior on Personal Oral Hygiene Management Ability)

  • This research aims to improve oral health knowledge through oral health education by investigating and analyzing the effect of subjective oral health knowledge and oral health behavior on personal oral hygiene management ability targeted for adults who visited a dental hygiene laboratory at B University in Busan for comprehensive dental hygiene management and procedure from September 23, 2013 to December 12, 2013, and provide basic data to improve adults' personal oral hygiene management ability by inducing behavior on oral health. Results derived from the research are as follows. Oral health education is a prerequisite to improve personal oral hygiene management ability through improvement in oral health knowledge and oral health behavior, which leads to improved personal oral health and furthermore promotion of national oral health through not just simply transmitting oral health knowledge, but desirable change in oral health behavior based on oral health knowledge.

일부 노인의 주관적 구강건강상태 및 구강건강행위가 행복감에 미치는 영향 (Effects of subjective oral health condition and oral health behavior on happiness in the elderly people)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship between happiness, subjective oral health condition and oral health behavior in Korean elderly people. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 487 elderly people using facilities for the senior citizens in Gyeonggi-do from January 3 to November 28, 2014 by convenience sampling method. The questionnaire consisted of demographic characteristics of the subjects, subjective oral health status, oral health behavior, and happiness. Cronbach'a alpha in the happiness was 0.734 in the study. Results: Happiness was closely correlated with abscence of subjective periodontal diseases, dental fillings, and denture. The number of toothbrushing and dental health education had also influenced on happiness. Conclusions: In order to improve the quality of dental health in the elderly, it is necessary to develop a multilateral systematic dental health promotion program by Ministry of Health and Welfare.

대학생의 통제감, 사회비교추구성향 및 자기효능감이 건강행위에 미치는 영향 (The Relationship between Self-control Behavior, Social Comparison Attitude, Self-efficacy and Health Promotion Activities of College Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between self-control behavior, social comparison attitude, self-efficacy and health promotion activities of college students who had health related majors (nursing, dental hygiene, health administration). Methods: The subjects consisted of 413 college students. Data were collected by self reported questionnaires that were designed to evaluate self-control behavior, social attitudes, self-efficacy and health promotion lifestyle (HPLP). Data were analyzed using the SPSS/PC win 14.0 program. Results: Upward & parallel comparison, self-efficacy and parents income were positively correlated with health promotion activities by college students. The most significant predictors of health promotion activities for college students were self-efficacy and self-control behavior. Conclusion: Health promotion activities for college students are influenced by self-efficacy, self-control behavior, and upward comparison. In conclusion, to increase the health promotion activities of college students, methods designed to increase self-efficacy should be prepared while considering the self-control behavior and comparative propensity towards others.

일부 지역 대학생들의 전신건강증진행위의 주요 요인들이 구강건강증진행위에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Major Factors in General Health Promotion Behavior Upon Oral Health Promotion Behavior in Some Area Collegian)

  • 본 연구는 울산지역에 위치하는 2개 대학의 학생들 330명을 대상으로 건강증진행위를 하는데 있어 중요한 변수로 인식된 기존의 변수들을 모아 구강건강증진 행위에 대한 경로를 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 최종모형의 적합도는 ${\chi}^2$ 값은 39.06, 유의확률은 0.152, GFI= .982, AGFI= .948, NFI=.967, NNFI= .982, RMSR= .028로 나타나 자료와 잘 부합되는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 가설모형에서 선정된 39개의 경로중 27개의 경로가 통계적으로 직접효과와 총효과가 유의하였으며, 2개 경로는 간접효과와 총효과가 유의하여 총 27개의 경로가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 3. 현재의 구강건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 변수로는 과거구강건강경험(총효과=.805), 주관적 구강건강(총효과=.717), 지각된 장애성(총효과=-.226), 자기효능감(총효과=.179), 사회적지지(총효과=.192), 구강건강통제위(총효과=.120), 의도(총효과=.167)로 나타났다(P<.05). 4. 현재의 구강건강증진행위에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 변수로는 과거구강건강경험, 주관적 구강건강, 사회적지지, 자기효능감, 의도, 구강건강통제위의 순으로 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 지각된 장애성은 부정적인 의미로 영향을 미치는 것 으로 나타났다.

청소년의 구강건강증진행위에 미치는 영향요인 연구 (A Study on the Effective Factor of an Oral Health Promotion Behavior for Adolescents)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify the main variables of difference in high school students' oral health promotion behaviors among adolescents and to improve their academic and oral health promotion behaviors. Methods : The research subjects consisted of 311 high school students in Jeonju. Results : The adequacy of the hypothetical model accounted for 46.9 % of the oral health promotion behavior. The Redundancy of all variables showed the value of the positive values, indicating that the Goodness of fit was greater than the optimum value of the model, and the model of the PLS was a desirable model. The effects of perceived benefits, self efficacy, and social support on oral health promotion behaviors were found to be higher in oral health promotion behaviors. Conclusions : This study is expected to have a significant impact on the perception of the oral health promotion for adolescents in the future and will contribute to the expansion and generalization of Pender's oral health promotion model.

광주·전남지역 치위생과 학생들의 구강건강신념 및 구강건강 증진행위 (Dental Health Promotion behavior and Dental Health Belief of Dental Hygiene Students in Gwangju Chunnam)

  • 본 연구는 치위생과 학생에서 인구사회적 특성별 구강건강신념과 구강건강증진행위의 분포를 알아보고 구강건강증진행위와 구강건강신념과의 상관성을 분석하여 치위생고 학생의 전공교육시 기초자료로 사용하고자 하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 연구대상자는 학년별로 2학년이 43.9%로 가장 많았고, 종교는 없는 경우가 47.0%, 모의교육정도는 고졸이하가 51.9%, 경제수준은 중이 85.5%, 가족의 심각한 질병경험은 없는 경우가 85.4%, 본인의 심각한 심각한 질병경험은 없는 경우가 93.8%, 인지된 건강상태는 대체로 불건강한 경우가 81.8%, 인지된 구강건강상태는 66.0%였고, 지난 1년간 치과방문을 하지 않은 경우가 54.4%로 많았다. 2. 구강건강신념 중 감수성은 학년이 낮을수록 (p<0.001), 경제수준이 낮을수록(p<0.05) 인지된 구강건강상태가 건강할수록(p<0.001)높았다. 유익성은 고학년일수록(p<0.001), 인지된 건강상태가 매우 불건강한 경우에서(p<0.05), 인지된 구강건강상태가 매우 불건강한 경우에서(p<0.05), 지난 1년간 치과방문경험이 있는 경우에서(p<0.01) 높았다. 심각성은 경제수준이 중인 경우에서(p<0.01), 인지된 건강상태가 불건강할수록(p<0.01) 높았다. 중요성은 고학년일수록(p<0.001), 지난 1년간 치과방문 경험이 있는 경우에서(p<0.001) 높았다. 장애도는 고학년일수록(p<0.05), 경제수준이 상인경우에서(p<0.05), 인지된 구강건강상태가 매우 건강한 경우에서(p<0.01) 높았다. 3. 구강건강증진행위 중 예방목적의 치과방문을 하는 자는 2학년에서 가장 높았으며(p<0.05), 지난 1년간 치과방문 경험이 없는 경우에서(p<0.05) 더 많이 시행하였다. 구강위생용품 사용은 고학년일수록 높았고(p<0.05), 인지된 건강상태가 대체로 건강한 경우에서(p<0.05), 지난 1년간 치과방문을 하지 않는 경우에서(p<0.05) 많이 사용하였다. 정기적인 치과검진은 인지된 구강건강상태가 매우 불건강한 경우에서 가장 높았으며(p<0.05), 지난 1년간 치과방문을 하지 않은 경우에서 가장 높았다(p<0.001). 이로운 음식의 섭취자는 고학년일수록 높았고(p<0.05), 인지된 구강건강상태가 불건강할수록 (p<0.01), 지난 1년간 치과방문을 하지않은 경우에서 (p<0.05) 높았다. 해로운 음식의 불섭취자는 고학년일수록 높았고(p<0.05), 모의 교육정도가 고졸이하에서(p<0.05), 가족의 심각한 질병경험이 없는 경우에서(p<0.05) 높았다. 4. 잇솔질의 실시시기는 식사후가 40.7%로 가장 높았고, 잠 자기전은 30.5%, 간식 후 8.3%, 식사전 7.5%순이었다. 5. 가장 많이 사용한 구강위생용품은 구강양치용액으로 연구 대상자의 61.4%가 사용경험을 가지고 있었고 그다음이 치실로 60.4%가 사용하였다. 6. 과거에 경험한 구강증상별 관리로 치과방문을 가장 많이 하게 한 것은 지각과민증, 치아우식증과 구강통증, 구취, 치아동요, 치석과 잇몸출혈 순이었다. 7. 구강건강증진행위와 상관성이 존재하는 구강건강신념으로는 감수성(r=-0.081), 유익성(r=0.133), 심각성(r=0.210), 중요도(r=0.187)였다.

다문화가정 청소년의 구강보건교육경험 영향요인 (Factors influencing oral health education of adolescents of multi-cultural families)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors influencing oral health education of adolescents from multi-cultural families. Methods: The subjects were 711 multi-cultural adolescents from the 15th(2019) Korean youth risk behavior web-based survey. Multi-cultural adolescents were defind as the children of marriage migrant women. The collected data was analyzed using the chi-squared test and logistic regression; SPSS versin 18.0 was used. Results: Middle-school adolescents received more oral health education than their high-school counterparts. The adolescents with once-daily and twice-daily teeth brushing behaviors were 0.475 (p<0.05) and 0.784 times less those with thrice-daily behavior, respectively. Adolescents who received oral health education also experienced dental care 1.644 times more than their counterparts(p<0.05). Conclusions: The promotion of oral health among multicultural families and further education through the establishment of school oral health education programs are required.

일부 지역아동센터 구강건강증진 프로그램 운영 횟수에 따른 효과 비교 연구 (The comparison of effect in oral health education frequency for elementary school students from a part of community child center)

  • Objectives : The aim of study is the comparison of effect in oral health education frequency and contents for elementary school students from a part of community child center to run and suggest a practical and effective oral health promotion program for local community child center. Methods : The program has been running for 4 trials in G district in Seoul and 2 trials has been conducted in S city in Gyung gi province. The comparison was done in independent samples test of awareness, knowledge and behavior of children of community child center in both G district and S City and paired t-test was conducted before and after oral health promotion program to find out those same 3 items. Results : As a result, after the comparison of plaque control score of Oral health promotion program frequency, significantly better result was show in 4 trial program with 55.3 score(p<0.05), No significant result of plaque control score was shown in 2 trail program(p>0.05). Conclusions : As a result of the Oral Health Promotion program which has been conducted in 2 different session type, knowledge, awareness and behaviour has been changed, however, There were no significant difference between Oral health education frequency of those two different program. Also with the result of Plaque control score of those two programs were not satisfying level. Therefore, in conclusion, the management and operation of the Oral Health Promotion program is needed and it must be based on health promotion which it would change the behavior and attitude of the children.

일부 고등학교 학생들의 구강보건교육에 대한 구강건강증진 효과 (Effectiveness of oral health promotion on the oral health education in some high school students)

  • Objectives : This study is to examine the effectiveness in the oral health promotion through the oral health education for high school students. In adolescence, there seems to be the high incidences of dental caries, gingivitis and periodontal diseases. Concerning preventing all such outbreaks, this study focuses on applying the oral health education to their health education, and on analyzing its effectiveness. Methods : To verify its effectiveness, this research administered 85 students of both genders of a certain high school in Seoul during May-October 2010, followed by the evaluation of DMFT, S-PHP, and CPITN. Results : First, the oral health promotion through the education was statistically significant in the permanent effects of index (FT index). Second, the effect of S-PHP index gradually decreased in statistics from the first to the fifth session, but, after five months ever since the education, it seemed relatively higher in the next sessions. Third, the changing in the level of CPITN decreased continuously as the students received the education repeatedly, but there is no significant difference in statistics for each session. Conclusions : For the oral health promotion in the high school students, the education ought to be focused on the behavior-change objectives rather than on the knowledge-based objectives. The repeated education for tooth-brushing instruction should be stressed for preventing from returning to the old bad behaviors.

아동양육시설에 종사하는 생활지도원의 구강건강인지 및 지각요인과 구강건강증진행위에 대한 조사 (A study on oral health awareness-recognition factors and oral health promotion activities of social workers engaged in child care facilities)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the level of oral health knowledge, oral health importance, oral health status and oral health interest of the social workers engaged in child care facilities to analyze the influential factors on oral health promotion activities and provide the basic data for oral health promotion activities. Methods : The subjects in this study were those social workers engaged in child care facilities from May 15th to May 25th in 2011. The self-report questionnaires were distributed and withdrawn and then a total of 205 papers from the subjects that participated in this study were analyzed for the final analysis. Results : 1. Oral health knowledge had $12.16{\pm}1.66$ in a full score of 15 and oral health importance, oral health status and oral health interest were $1.12{\pm}0.36$, $2.80{\pm}0.50$ and $2.14{\pm}0.8$ respectively in a full score of 5. 2. According to the general characteristics, the difference analysis of cognition-recognition factors showed that singles had significantly higher oral health knowledge married couples (p<0.05) and the social workers unusing auxiliary oral hygiene devices had significantly higher oral health interest than those using them(p<0.01). 3. The mean of oral health promotion was $3.28{\pm}0.51$, characteristics of detailed specific-area were as follows ; the toothbrushing was $3.77{\pm}0.57$, the use of fluoride was $2.67{\pm}0.98$, periodic dental screening and treatment were $2.98{\pm}1.09$ and eating habits was $4.14{\pm}0.57$. These results generally showed tooth-brushing and eating habits show a little higher figures. 4. Considering the factors oral health promotion behaviors of social workers engaged in child care facilities, the higher oral health interest was, the higher oral health promotion behavior was. Conclusions : It seems that social workers engaged in child care facilities are required to pay attention to the importance of oral health and learn oral health knowledge, which will lead to much better improvement of oral health for children brought up by them.
