스케일링 건강보험 급여화 사업에 대한 인식 및 구강건강관리 관심도 변화 (Recognition of the national health insurance for dental scaling and change in oral health care interest)

  • Objectives: To provide necessary information for stable establishment of the national dental scaling reimbursement system. Methods: This study was conducted in 380 adults in their twenties or older for about one month from July 2017. The questionnaires were composed of general characteristics, recognition (awareness) of dental scaling, knowledge of the dental scaling reimbursement program, changes in perception before versus after introduction of the dental scaling reimbursement program, and interest in oral health. To investigate into any factors affecting changes of interest in oral health care after introduction of the dental scaling reimbursement program, a multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: The investigation into any factors affecting changes of interest in oral health care after introduction of the dental scaling reimbursement program showed that higher usual interest in oral health (p<0.001) and the consideration that the dental scaling charges have been affordable after introduction of the scaling reimbursement program (p<0.01) led to more changes in interest in oral health care. Conclusions: The above-mentioned results suggest that the dental scaling reimbursement program has brought favorable changes in the perception of dental scaling. It is expected that the said program will contribute significantly to the improved national oral health, and the Government should make constant efforts to develop it as a long-term policy for oral health improvement.

고객이 지각하는 브랜드 진정성이 브랜드 신뢰 및 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향- 네트워크 프랜차이즈 치과 클리닉을 중심으로 - (The Effect of Brand Authenticity Perceived by Customer on Brand Trust and Brand Loyalty - Focusing on Network Franchise Dental Clinic's in Medical -)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the effects of brand authenticity on brand trust and the effect of brand trust on brand loyalty in case of network franchise dental clinics. To achieve this objective, 300 dental customers were surveyed in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Of these, 267 respondents were used for the analysis. The research results show that communication authenticity, advertising truthfulness, employee authenticity had positive effect on brand trust. and brand trust have positive effect on brand loyalty.

구강보건인력의 예방치과진료에 대한 인식 및 교육요구도 (Awareness and educational needs on preventive dental treatment among oral health workers)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to provide basic data needed in developing an educational program designed to upgrade capacity and awareness of preventive dental treatment among oral health workers, by analyzing levels of awareness of preventive dental treatment and educational needs among dentists and dental hygienists. Methods: The collected data was analyzed with SPSS program ver. 19.0. The data was under t-test. Results: The frequency level of giving preventive dental treatment to patients among dentists and dental hygienists is below mid-point, 3 on the 5-point Likert scale. In terms of frequency level per item, scaling & polishing was ranked the highest, followed by periodontal maintenance, tooth-brushing instruction, and prescription and instruction of oral care product in descending order. On the questions asking how important preventive dental care they perceive to be, both dentists and dental hygienists perceived it to be highly important. When they were asked to rank those items by the importance of education, they considered periodontal maintenance as the most important one, followed by individual education of oral health, incremental oral health care, scaling& polishing, toothbrushing instruction, and prescription and instruction of oral care product. Respondents pointed out problems in running a preventive dental treatment program as follows: overwork, lack of dedicated workforce, un-fixed costs, and lack of necessary equipment. When they were asked to point out items needed to run such a program, the largest number of respondents indicated dedicated workforce placement, followed by improving awareness of the customer, and improving awareness of the dental workers. Conclusions: In order to effectively run a preventive dental treatment program, it is necessary for oral health workers to clearly understand the concept of it. It is also necessary to develop and operate an education program on preventive dental treatment targeting oral health professionals.

신입 치과위생사의 직무교육에 대한 인식 분석 (Analysis on the recognition of occupational work training in new dental hygienists)

  • The objective of the current study is to provide basic data necessary for the development of systematic program that is required for the systematic occupational work training of dental hygienists who newly employed at dental hospitals or clinics. The results of the surveys were listed as in below. The survey was conducted for 175 experienced dental hygienists who are in charge of occupational work training in 6 regions(Seoul, Kyunggi, Busan, Ulsan, Kwangju, Chungnam, Kyungnam) of the country where the occupational work training for new dental hygienists is systematically operated. 1. The recognition of experienced dental hygienists for the importance of occupational work training revealed that image training was the most importantly recognized by dental hygienists in Seoul Kyunggi regions(pE.01). In case of Busan region, periodontic training and conservative dentistry training were the most importantly recognized, and customer service training was mostly highly recognized in Ulsan region(pE.01). In case of Kwangjuregion, dental health insurance claim training was recognized as most important subject, and Patient consultation training was the most importantly recognized in Chungnam region. In case of Kyungnam region. Oral surgery was recognized as the most important training subject. 2. Regard on the importance of the range of occupational work training, the experienced dental hygienists with less than 2 years of experience were found to recognize the training of greeting and naming most importantly, the dental hygienists with 2~3 years of experience most importantly recognized oral surgery, and the dental hygienists with 4~5 year of experience were found to recognize conservative training most importantly. In case of dental hygienists having 6~9 year of experience recognized periodontic and conservation trainings as the most important subjects, and the dental hygienist having more than 10 years of experience were found to recognize conservative and image trainings mostly importantly.

스케일링 건강보험 급여화 시행 1년 후 치과의료소비자의 인식도 및 만족도 조사 (Recognition and satisfaction of dental care customers after 1 year national health insurance coverage of dental scaling)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to examine the recognition and satisfaction of dental care customers after 1 year national health insurance coverage of dental scaling. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 477 dental care customers in Gyeongbuk, Busan, Yangsan, and Gyeonggido from July 18 to September 30, 2014 after receiving informed consents. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(5 items), subjective awareness of oral health(4 items), recognition of scaling(5 items), and recognition and satisfaction of scaling health insurance(5 items). Data were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 program. Results: Those who recognized the national health insurance coverage of dental scaling accounted for 80.1 percent and 47.2 percent of them got the health insurance coverage via media advertisements. Those who received the scaling service by health insurance coverage accounted for 73.8% and 66.2% of them were very satisfied with the service. Among the customers, 91.8% were satisfied with scaling health allotment. There was a statistical significance between scaling health insurance and subjective oral condition recognition(p<0.01). Through the health insurance coverage scaling service, the oral health in Korea will improve much. Conclusions: The expansion of health insurance coverage of scaling service will provide the universal oral health care for all people. Owing to low cost service, people will actively try to come in contact with public health service in the future.

Current status and installation standard of dental PACS

  • Purpose: Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is difficult to implement in the best of situations, but evidence is growing that the benefits are significant. The aims of this study are to analyze the current status of full PACS and establish successful installation standard of dental PACS. Materials and Methods : Materials and methods were based on the investigation of current working status and installation standard of PACS, and observation of variable issues to installation of dental PACS. Results: By September 30,2004, full PACS implementations in their facilities were 88.1 % in specialized general hospitals (37 installations out of total 42 hospitals), 59.8% in general hospitals (144 installations out of total 241 hospitals), 12.3% in medical hospitals (116 installations out of total 941 hospitals) and 3.6% in dental hospitals (4 installations out of total 11 0 hospitals) Only 4 university dental hospitals currently have installed and are operating full PACS. Major obstacle to wide spread of dental PACS is initial high investments. Conclusions: Clinical environments of dental PACS differed from medical situation. Because of characteristic dental practice, the initial investments for dental PACS are generally much greater than those of medical PACS. Also new economic crisis makes users scruple. The best way to overcome these limitations is to establish an economic installation standard for dental PACS. Also the clear technical communication between the customer and the supplier before both sides are committed to the obstacles are critical to its success.

델파이를 활용한 치과 중간관리자의 직무역량모델 개발 (Development of a Job Competency Model of a Dental Intermediary-Manager Using the Delphi Method)

  • 치과의료기관의 경영성과를 달성하기 위해서는 치과 중간관리자의 직무역량은 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 문헌고찰, FGI, 델파이 조사를 통해 치과 중간관리자의 직무역량모델을 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 먼저 문헌고찰과 FGI를 거쳐 치과 중간관리자 직무역량 모형은 6개의 역량군, 25개의 하위역량, 그 안에 125개 행동지표로 도출하였다. 도출된 치과 중간관리자 직무역량모델 초안은 3차에 걸친 델파이 조사를 통해 치과경영관리, 진료지원, 인적자원관리, 의사소통과 고객관리, 리더십, 자기관리와 태도의 6개의 역량군으로 구성하였고 각 역량군에 따른 25개의 하위역량과 95개의 행동지표로 구성된 최종 치과 중간관리자의 직무역량모델을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 치과 중간관리자 직무역량모델은 치과 중간관리자의 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 뿐만 아니라 치과 중간관리자의 선발, 평가 등 광범위하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Kano 모형을 이용한 병원의 서비스 품질 요소의 분류 - 인천, 경기남부지역 대학병원을 중심 - (The Classification of the Service Quality Elements in the Hospital Using the Kano Model)

  • This study aims at providing necessary informations to decide what services would be conducted preferentially in the hospital by limited resources. So this study revalued the customer's perception about the qualities of the hospital services by the Kano Model and examined the customer satisfaction coefficients suggested by Timko. The researcher conducted a survey from the patients of the 4 university hospitals in Incheon and southern Gyeonggi Province In 2008. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; It was found that the total 31 items are could be classified into 7 attractive quality elements, 22 one-dimensional quality elements and 2 indifferent quality elements, while the natural quality element wasn't found. The highest score element of the customer's satisfaction coefficients was identified as easy parking(0.69) and the lowest score item was the offer of the hospital newsletter and information about medical care(0.47). When the hospital service was not sufficient to the customer, the highest score element of the customer's dissatisfaction coefficients was proved the convenient ward and facilities(-0.75) and the lowest score item was the buses running to the entrance of the hospital(-0.32). Also it was found that the attractive quality elements appraised by the preceding study were revalued the one-dimensional quality elements. The reason was because the customer's expectation on the services was changed high, as time went by.

임상치과위생사의 감성지능이 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors affecting clinical dental hygienist emotional intelligence on burnout)

  • 본 연구는 임상치과위생사의 감성지능이 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 임상치과위생사의 감성지능이 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 임상치과위생사의 인적자원의 효율적인 관리와 고객 서비스의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 임상 치위생 조직 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 연구하였다. 연구기간은 2017년 2월 6일부터 5월 31일까지 전라북도에 근무하는 임상치과위생사 394명을 대상으로 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 임상치과위생사의 감성지능은 소진과 유의한 음의 상관관계(r=-.623, p<.001)를 나타났으며, 감성지능이 높을수록 소진은 유의하게 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 소진의 하위영역인 정서적 고갈(r=-.316, p<.001), 비인격화(r=-.474, p<.001), 성취감 저하(r=.639, p<.001)와 유의한 음의 상관관계를 나타났다. 임상치과위생사의 소진에 관련요인으로 자신의 감성이해, 타인의 감성이해, 감성활용이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구결과로 감성지능이 소진에 연관성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 임상치과위생사로 생산성을 높이기 위해서는 감성지능을 향상시킬 수 있는 중재프로그램 개발이 절실히 필요하다. 앞으로 임상치과위생사의 감성지능을 높여 소진을 감소시킬 수 있는 효율적인 전략 구축이 마련되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

장애인 구강의료기관을 위한 서비스지침 개발 - 서비스디자인 기법을 활용하여 - (Developing Dental Service Guideline for Disabled Patients - Using Service Design Methods -)

  • This study developed key elements of dental service guidelines for the disabled patients. In order to provide consumer-oriented service guidelines for the dental patients with disability, service design method was applied. Using service design method guided by the double diamond design process, this study implemented consumer survey, observation, and contextual interviews for consumers' needs assessment. And customer journey map, mind maps, and blueprints were utilized to visualize consumer needs and guidelines for dental care services for the disabled. According to the study, disabled consumers have needs for expertise of the medical staff, dental care institutions specialized on the disabled, financial support, establishment of the facilities for the disabled, comfortable atmosphere in the institutions, and communication with medical staffs. Based on the needs of the disabled, 5 key elements of the dental care services were developed: convenience, expertise, empathy, financial support, and education and management. And service design guidelines were proposed to implement key elements of dental care services for the patients with disability. This study is significant in that it is the first attempt to apply the service design technique from the consumer perspectives in the field of dental care for the disabled. Furthermore the process of this study has become a reference that can be utilized and applied to other medical institution.
