The Domestic housing Industry has to give consequence to the redevelopment and rebuilding of existing housings rather than the supply by developing a new building site, and now those tendencies are rapidly spreading out. Also, because apartment buildings occupies 50% over of the existing housing, its maintenance, repair, remodeling and reconstruction got to be necessary area for the slumming prevention of a residential area and the disaster prevention occurred by durability lowering of the building. It is increasing the interest for reusing and recycling of C&D waste. The government is doing efforts to diminish amount of C&D waste. But there couldn't find any efforts for developing Integrated system to manage and to estimate lightly generated amounts of C&D waste. So, this study presents a integrated computer system that can estimate easily quantity of C&D waste by using CAD draw and 3D Object.

The generation of construction waste can be divided into a decommissioning phase and a new construction phase, and most of the waste is generated at the decommissioning stage. However, recently, domestic new construction construction has expanded to 150 trillion yards per year, so construction work is increasing rapidly. Especially, as the size of the construction work with much waste of construction waste exceeds 100 trillion, the management of the amount of construction waste in the new construction site is required. Unlike the dismantling work site, the new construction site can separate waste generated by each property, and relatively low foreign matter content is generated. The purpose of this study was to investigate the amount of construction waste generated by new construction sites and to calculate the unit amount of construction waste based on this. In addition, since the existing unit cost is centered on concrete and mixed waste, we set the basic unit by setting synthetic resin, waste wood, and waste board as additional items. The basic unit survey was carried out to investigate the wastes according to the characteristics of each construction period. As a result of the survey, the new construction site showed that most wastes were discharged in the first 30% and after 70% of the process, and the ratio of mixed construction waste was as high as 45%. As a result of this study, it was found that about twice as much waste was produced as compared with the conventional standard product.

In this study, as a foundational research aimed at promoting the efficient recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of construction waste through the activation of a selective dismantling system, our primary objective was to analyze the economic feasibility of implementing selective dismantling. To achieve this, we conducted an assessment on a 5-story residential building with a construction area of 2,400 m2 as a case study. When considering the additional cost of dismantling construction ① the reduction in waste disposal costs due to decreased mixed waste, ② and the potential revenue from recycling through the separation and sorting of waste materials, and ③ we were able to comprehensively confirm that there is an expected cost-saving effect totaling 34,727,000 KRW when compared to conventional demolition methods.

In this study, recently it is urgently required that demolition waste concrete has to be recycled on the construction because urban development is accelerated and redevelopment project is rapidly expanded, production quantity of construction and demolition waste concrete is being increased. As a results of drying shrinkage test under restrained and unrestrained condition, although workability and mechanical properites of concrete using HQRS were similar to that of concrete using natural sand, there were a great difference in deformation characteristic of dry shrinkage according to replacement ratio of HQRS. And, it makes sure that use of HQRS instead of partial nature sand was effective because drying shrinkage of concrete using 30 volume percentage of HQRS was smaller than that using only natural sand. Therefore, it is the objective of this study to provide the fundamental data about the re-application as an analysis of the drying shrinkage characteristics of concrete using HQRS and it is able to creta a high value-added by using HQRS.

Disposal of construction wastes poses major challenge to the municipal administration in the developing countries. At the same time new developments in these countries are unscrupulously exploiting the natural resources. The sustainable development requires judicious and careful utilization of natural resources. In this context, reuse of construction and demolition waste can save the global natural resources to greater extent. In this work the bricks and concrete waste from construction sites were crushed to the desired sizes and mixed in various proportions to study its properties in the concrete both in fresh and hardened states. Six mixes of natural and recycled aggregates were used to make the coarse aggregates for the concrete. From each mix nine cylinders were cast, which were tested at 7,14 and 28 days. The properties of concrete with recycled aggregates were compared with the control mix having natural aggregates. The nominal ratio of cement sand and coarse aggregates were kept at 1:2:4 by weight for all mixes. The tests have shown that concrete with recycled aggregates made from old concrete and brick bats provide greater opportunities for reuse of construction wastes in concrete.

In this study, recently it has to be solved urgently the unbalance of demand and supply about the fine aggregate because the sea sand is restricted by exhaustion of river sand and intensification of environmental law. In this background, manufacturing technology which can produce recycled sand from construction and demolition waste concrete mass is developed. However, the existed washing method has the problem which not only impurities but also many other things make poor quality. Therefore, it tries to conform in time necessity, the objective of this study is to develop the Sand Flux system which can product the high-quality recycled sand from wast concrete and high value-added technology of the high-quality recycled sand as basic materials for mortar and concrete. At the same time it will be able to improve the quality of recycled sand products as an experiment of the physical nature and a quality present condition the products of recycled sand from construction waste.

The study explores the growing interest in up-cycling within the fashion industry, driven by concerns over environmental degradation caused by mass production and fast fashion. Emphasizing the ethical dimension, the research focuses on recombination processes. Departing from traditional up-cycling concepts, the study introduces new expression methods by altering the position, function, and role of clothes. The target audience is women in their 20s and 30s, with the designs incorporating various materials and re-purposing frequently discarded items like jackets, suits, jeans, and bags. The goal is to offer diverse expressions of uphigh-dimensional clothing designs using waste material dismantling and recycled clothing while addressing environmental responsibility in fashion design.

Use of recycled aggregates in portland cement concrete construction can offer benefits associated with both economy and sustainability. Testing performed to date indicates that RBMA can be used as a 100% replacement for conventional coarse aggregate in concrete that exhibits acceptable mechanical properties for use in structural and pavement elements, including satisfactory performance in some durability tests. RBMAC is currently not used in any type of construction in the United States. However, use of RBMAC could become a viable construction strategy as sustainable building practices become the norm. Rating systems such as LEED offer points for reuse of building materials (particularly on-site) and use of recycled materials. If renovations at an existing facility call for the demolition of existing brick masonry constructions, the rubble could be included as RBMA in new concrete pavement, sidewalks, or curb and gutter. Other potential uses for RBMAC could include those in the precast concrete industry, particularly in architectural precast concrete applications. In addition to providing acceptable strength and economy, the color of RBMA could be an attractive component of architectural precast concrete panels or other façade components. This paper explores the feasibility of use of RBMAC in several types of sustainable construction initiatives, based upon the findings of previous work with RBMAC produced from construction and demolition waste from a case study site. Guidance for obtaining and using RBMA is presented, along with a summary of material properties of RBMAC that will be useful to construction professionals.

This paper describes the possibility to reuse concrete waste produced by demolition of reinforced concrete structures as aggregate for concrete from the viewpoint of strength. Concrete rubble obtained from the demolished buildings at Taejon were crushing machine to reuse as coarse aggregate. The strength properties, such as compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, bending strength and shear strength, of recycled and normal concrete were examined and compared experimentally when water cement ratio was varied. From the results of this study, it was thought that in case of non-washed aggregate concrete, strength properties of recycled coarse aggregate is similar to that of normal concrete, In W/C 55%~45%, stress-strain curve of recycled concrete shows more stable than that of normal concrete, while in W/C 35%, it shows brittle behavior.

Recently, construction industry makes a great effort on minimizing the environmental impact. While various environmental-friendly technologies are applied to the operating phase of buildings, few equipment or machinery are partly used during the construction phase. For this reason, this study carried out a comprehensive analysis on environmental-friendly technologies for the whole construction process. In this study, appropriate environmental-friendly technologies of each construction activity were elicited to improve the environment of construction sites. Environmental-friendly technologies and construction activities were selected by professional consultation and descriptive statistics analysis, and proper environmental-friendly technologies were elicited from Cross-Impact Analysis. As a result, waste disposal and recycling technology was highly effective for demolition work while development of replacing materials was for reinforced concrete work.
