Forecasting methodology of future demand market (미래 수요시장의 예측 방법론)

  • The method of predicting the future may be predicted by technical characteristics or technical performance. Therefore, technology prediction is used in the field of strategic research that can produce economic and social benefits. In this study, we predicted the future market through the study of how to predict the future with these technical characteristics. The future prediction method was studied through the prediction of the time when the market occupied according to the demand of special product. For forecasting market demand, we proposed the future forecasting model through comparison of representative quantitative analysis methods such as CAGR model, BASS model, Logistic model and Gompertz Growth Curve. This study combines Rogers' theory of innovation diffusion to predict when products will spread to the market. As a result of the research, we developed a methodology to predict when a particular product will mature in the future market through the spread of various factors for the special product to occupy the market. However, there are limitations in reducing errors in expert judgment to predict the market.

  • This paper addresses methodology in order to consider CHP (Combined Heat and Power) capacity in the Basic Plan of Long Term Electricity Supply & Demand and presents effects on it. The method performs state in extent that do not change maximum in the Basic Plan of Long Term Electricity Supply & Demand. For analysis that occurs some advantage this method compares with Basic Plan of Long Term Electricity Supply & Demand. It includes EES (Expected Energy Served), Fuel consumption, amount of $CO_{2}$ emission reduction.

Do Phillips Curve Respond Asymmetrically to Unemployment? Evidence from Korea and the U.S.

  • Purpose - This study empirically analyses the changes in unemployment rates to understand push factors of generating wage pressure and how it affects the aggregate demand in Korea and the United States. We use a structural macroeconomic model which is centered on the labor market and simultaneously explains the natural rate of unemployment and deviations. Research design, data and methodology - We attempt to empirically analyse the unemployment rates through two countries to analyse the economic effects of real wages and aggregate demand between 2000 and 2016. We introduce having estimated the whole model that the growth of unemployment into the part caused by each of these factors. Results - The results of this study show that in the long run, there is not only a natural level of employment but also a natural level of real demand are positively related. in the short run, demand can vary from bring about changes in employment by means of price or wage surprises. Conclusions - The pressure of demand in the labor market shows up strongly in both countries. The estimated labor-demand equation are consistent with this framework and generally have well defined real wage and demand effects.

An Analysis on the Electricity Demand for Air Conditioning with Non-Linear Models (비선형모형을 이용한 냉방전력 수요행태 분석)

  • To see how the electricity demand for air-conditioning responds to weather condition and what kind of weather condition works better in forecasting maximum daily electricity demand, four different regression models, which are linear, exponential, power and S-curve, are adopted. The regression outcome turns out that the electricity demand for air-conditioning is inclined to rely on the exponential model. Another major discovery of this study is that the electricity demand for air-conditioning responds more sensitively to the weather condition year after year along with the higher non-air-conditioning electricity demand. In addition, it has also been found that the discomfort index explains the electricity demand for air-conditioning better than the highest temperature.

  • 중장기 수요예측을 위해 자주 사용되는 방법으로 확산모형과 성장곡선모형을 들 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이들 방법론의 성격 및 실제 적용에 있어 모수추정에 따른 문제점들을 살펴보고, 모수추정을 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 전략을 제시한다. 또한 실제 자료에 각 방법론들을 적용하여 예측결과를 비교한다.

Rural Water Supply from the Irrigation Reservoir

  • Irrigation water has been mainly used for paddy rice. Irrigated paddy land tends to be recently converted to land for green house, farm house, and rural-industrial complex. Consequently, demand of water for crops, domestic & industrial, rural recreations, small-scaled hydropower, livestocks, and environment in the rural area, so called rural water, is rapidly increasing. In order to supply rural water, water in the existing irrigation reservoir could be enlarged by repairment of irrigation canal and reinforcement of irrigation reservoir, and be saved by the operation rule curve, utilization of dead water, and balanced storage management.

  • The seismic performance of multi-span bridge without seismic detailing is found to be insufficient in longitudinal direction. Shear keys and stoppers can be introduced as an alternative to enhance seismic capacity. The capacity curve of bridge with shear keys is obtained considering two extreme contact conditions of shear keys. Its curve is converted into ADRS spectra and compared with demand spectra. It is concluded that seismic performance can be improved effectively by shear keys and its performance can be evaluated graphically on the ADRS specta.

  • At present Cournot model is one of the most commonly used theories to analyze the gaming situation in oligopoly market. But there exist several problems to apply this model to electricity market. The representative one is to obtain the inverse demand curve able to be induced from the relationship between market price and demand response. In Cournot model, each player offers their generation quantity to accomplish maximum profit, which is accomplished by reducing their quantity compared with available total capacity. As stated above, to obtain the probable Cournot equilibrium to reflect real market situation, we have to induce the correct demand function first of all. Usually the correlation between price and demand appears on the long-term basis through the statistical data analysis (for example, regression analysis) or by investigating consumer utility functions of several consumer groups classified as residential, industrial, and commercial. However, the elasticity has a tendency to change continuously according to the total market demand size or the level of market price. Therefore it should be updated as trading period passes by. In this paper we propose a method for inducing and updating this price elasticity of demand function for more realistic market equilibrium

  • This paper presents the result of pattern classification of load demand for distribution transformer in domestic. The field data of load demand is measured using the load acquisition device and the measurement data is used for the database system for load management of distribution transformed. For the pattern classification, the load data and the customer information data are also used. The K-MEAN method is used for the pattern classification algorithm. The result of pattern classification is used for the 2-step format of load demand curve.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze theoretically and empirically spillover effects of fishery quota on related markets through their demand curves. Theoretically, the spillover effects of a change in quota can be captured through the directly distorted market alone by computing surpluses associated with the new and old equilibrium. This study estimates empirically demand functions in the context of both the partial equilibrium and general equilibrium. The spillover effect can be computed from the difference between these two estimates. The econometric methodology to estimate the demand curves in the context of general equilibrium is presented and illustrated. The empirical result of fishery markets shows that spillover effects transmitted across other markets are not small and approximately account for 43.3% of the partial equilibrium welfare effects.
