A Study on Material Degradation Evaluation of 9Cr1MoVNb Steel by Micromechanics Test Method (미소역학 시험기법에 의한 9Cr1MoVNb강의 열화도 평가)

  • The Micromechanics test is new test method which uses comparatively smaller specimen than that required in conventional material tests. There are several methods, such as small-specimen creep test, the continuous indentation test, and small punch(SP) test. Among them, the small punch(SP) test method has been applied to many evaluation fields, such as a ductile-brittle transition temperature, stress corrosion cracking, hydrogen embrittlement, and fracture properties of advanced materials like FGM or MMC. In this study, the small punch(SP) test is performed to evaluate the mechanical properties at high/low temperature from $-196^{\circ}C$ to $650^{\circ}C$ and the material degradation for virgin and aged materials of 9Cr1MoVNb steel which has been recently developed. The ${\Delta}P/{\Delta}{\delta}$ parameter defined a slope in plastic membrane stretching region of SP load-displacement curve decreases according to the increase of specimen temperature, and that of aged materials is higher than the virgin material in all test temperatures. And the material degradation degrees of aged materials with $630^{\circ}C$ -500hrs and $630^{\circ}C$ -1000hrs are $36^{\circ}C$ and $38^{\circ}C$ respectively. These behaviors are good consistent with the results of hardness($H_v$) and maximum displacement(${\delta}_{max}$).

The Thermal Decomposition Process of $\delta$-FeOOH Prepared by Rapid Oxidation Method (급격산화법에 의해 제조된 $\delta$-FeOOH의 열분해과정)

  • The precipitate of FeCl2.4H2O and NaOH, Fe(OH)2 was rapidly made to oxidize by H2O2 to prepare $\delta$-FeOOH. The particle size, surface and morphology of $\delta$-FeOOH, and the shape and structure of thermally decomposed $\delta$-FeOOH were investigated by the use of high resolution STEM. $\delta$-FeOOH prepared under the condition of reaction temperature of Fe(OH)2 at 4$0^{\circ}C$, [OH-][Fe2+]=5 and aging time of 2 hr Fe(OH)2, had 630$\AA$ mean particle size, 4~5 aspect ratio, 20.8 emu/g saturation magnetization and 210 Oe coercivity. The edges of $\delta$-FeOOH were inclined to (001) about 41$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$ and coincident with (102), (101) respectively. When $\delta$-FeOOH was thermally decomposed at 25$0^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr in vacuo, which had micropores of 0.9 nm thickness and crystallites of 2.4 nm thickness. (001)hex, [10]hex. of $\delta$-FeOOH parallel with (001)hex, [100]hex. of $\alpha$-Fe2O3 respectively. This showed three dimensional topotaxial structure transition, which was investigated by SADP (Selected Area Diffraction Pattern) of STEM.

Application Design and Performance Analysis Simulation of Sigma-Delta STAP for GMTI Mode of Airborne Radar (항공기 레이다의 GMTI 모드를 위한 Sigma-Delta STAP의 적용 설계와 성능 분석 시뮬레이션)

  • Applications of Sigma-Delta STAP, and a method of GMTI processing are presented for GMTI(Ground Moving Target Indication) mode of airborne radar with sigma, delta, and guard channels. We showed results of performance analyses of presented methods by clutter simulation with ICM(Internal Clutter Motion), signal processing simulation and MDV(Minimum Detectable Velocity). Presented methods for Sigma-Delta STAP and GMTI processing are easy to apply practically in GMTI mode of airborne radar without restriction by specific airborne radar system.

Estimation of a circulating current of a three-phase Y-Y-$\Delta$ transformer (3권선 변압기 순환전류 추정 알고리즘)

  • In the case of the transformers including the delta winding such as a three-phase Y-Y-$\Delta$ transformer, a delta winding current flows in the delta windings. The delta winding current of a three-phase Y-Y-$\Delta$ transformer is decomposed into a non-circulating current and a circulating current. The former can be estimated directly from the line currents, but the latter can not. This paper proposes an estimation method for a circulating current of a Y-Y-$\Delta$ Transformer. A first order differential equation for the circulating current is derived by applying the Kirchhoff's voltage law on the loop of the delta side. The circulating current can be estimated by solving the differential equation. Various test results indicate the algorithm can estimate the circulating current accurately even under over-excitation and magnetic inrush.

  • In this paper the feature of background EEG is extracted by LS Prony Method for the analysis of background EEG in the time domain. Autocorrelation leg estimates are not required with the LS Prony method. The Prony method is required any the solution of two serfs of simultaneous linear equation and a polynominal rooting. That the optimal order of this model is the 6-th order is determined by using Akaike' s Information Criterial test. From the experimential results the alpha band amplitude is the largest among alpha band beta band theta band delta band and beta band amplitude is larger than that of the delta band and theta band. The sustained time for the alph a band, the beta band, the delta band and the theta band is 2, 3461 (sec), 0.6490(sec), 0.3120(sec), 0.7046(sec) respectively. Consequenty the alpha band is maintained in the whole subjects, the beta band, the delta band, the theta band are existed intermittently in each subjects.

  • The target must be located within the main-lobe of the antenna in order to measure the direction of the target by using sum-delta monopulse technique. The most common way if the target is located within the main-lobe is to compare the amplitude of the sum channel received signal with the delta channel received signal. However, in the case of the single-ring circular array antenna, it is difficult to apply the conventional method due to its structural limitation where antenna elements do not exist in the center of the array. In this paper, we proposed a novel method to identify whether a target is located within the main-lobe by appropriately adjusting the feeding amplitude of each element constituting the single-ring circular array antenna through the particle swarm optimization method. Simulation results showed that the proposed method can determine whether the target is located within the main-lobe of the single-ring circular array antenna.

  • Kinetics for the solvolyses of acyl chlorides and alkyl chlorides in hydroxylic solvent mixtures have been measured by conductometric method at various temperatures and pressures. The activation parameters (${\Delta}V^{\neq},\; {\Delta}H^{\neq},\; {\Delta}S^{\neq}$) were estimated from the rate constants. The reactivities of these reactions were also estimated from the correlation of the activation volumes with the activation entropies.

  • The MRAC theory has proved to be one of the most popular algorithms in the field of adaptive control, particularly for practical application to devices such as an hydraulic servosystem of which parameters are unknown or varying during operation. For small sampling period, the discrete time system becomes a nonminimal phase system. The $\delta$-MRAC was introduced to obtain the control performance of nonminimal phase system, because the z-MRAC can not control the plant for small sampling period. In this paper, $\delta$-MRAC is applied to the control of an hydraulic servosystem which is composed of servovalve, hydraulic cylinder and inertia load.

The Pressure Effect on the Ionic Association of the 3,5,N-trimethyl Pyridinium Iodide in Ethanol-Water Mixture

  • The association constants (K) of 3,5,N-trimethyl pyridinium iodide in 95 volume percent ethanol-water mixed solvent were determined by a modified UV and conductance method at $25^{\circ},\;30{\circ},\;40{\circ}\;and\;50{\circ}C$ over the pressure range 1 to 2000 bars. The association process is enhanced with increasing pressure and decreasing temperature. From K values, we obtained the total partial molar volume change (${\Delta}V$) and some thermodynamic parameters. The electrostriction volume (${\Delta}V_{el}$) and intrinsic volume (${\Delta}V_{in}$) were also evaluated. The values of ${\Delta}V,\;{\Delta}V_{el},\;{\Delta}V_{in}$ are negative, negative and positive, respectively, and the absolute values of all these three decrease with increasing pressure and temperature. The ion-pair size (a) were varied 3 to 6 ${\AA}$, with pressure and temperature. The solvation number (n) decreased from 2 to 0.5 with increasing temperature.

Influence of Ethylene Oxide Fume upon Chromaticity of Cultural Material (훈증제 ethylene oxide가 문화재의 색도에 미치는 영향)

  • It is well-known method to use Ethylene Oxide (ETO) as a fumigant to preserve cultural heritage from the attack of some bacteria and insects. In this article, we investigated co]or change of some cultural material upon treating ETO. The cultural material was selected from Korean paper (hanji), ancient books, blue prints, pigments (DA, DB, DC, DD, DE and DF). hemp cloths, and colored pictures (DG, DH, Dl, DJ, DK). The $\Delta$E value in chromaticity coordinates for each item was obtained upon treatment with ETO at concentration of 200, 250, 380, 500, 710 g/m$^3$ respectively. The $\Delta$E value was derived from the equation of L*at with the data checked 24 hr, 48 hr, and 72 hrs respectively. The Korean papers(hanji) showed slightly change in color by $\Delta$E 0.8. In the case of ancient books, it showed $\Delta$E 2.91 which was easily distinguishable with the naked eyes. For the almost 73% of blue prints, the value of $\Delta$E was as much as more than 4.0 that it is recommended not to use. In the case of pigments, the value of $\Delta$E was ranged from 0.15 up to 4.0 so that it should be very careful before use. The hemp cloth dyed with natural indigo showed less than 1.00 in $\Delta$E, while various colored hemp cloth showed wide range of $\Delta$E from 1.00 to 4.00. Finally, from the fact that the color change was as small as less than 1.00 for the colored pictures, it is thought that treatment with ETO is one of method to be used to this purpose.
