Development of Questionnaire for Pattern Identification of Chronic Low Back Pain by Delphi Method (만성 요통 변증 설문지 개발을 위한 전문가 Delphi 조사)

  • Objectives The aim of this study is to contribute to developing questionnaire for pattern identification of chronic low back pain using delphi method. Methods The questionnaire which includes symptoms and signs of chronic low back pain is studied by delphi method. Seven experts of Korean medicine, especially of rehabilitation medicine participated in delphi examination. Delphi examination was carried out through evaluating and correcting the questionnaire by e-mail. Results By the Delphi method and score evaluation, 20 items of the initial copy of questionnaire are chosen for pattern identification of chronic low back pain. Conclusions By the delphic method among experts, a reference questionnaire for pattern identification of chronic low back pain was suggested. Further research is necessary for modification of questionnaire by statistics and certification by clinical trial research.

  • The Delphi method is widely used for long and middle range forecasting in management science. It is a method by which the subjective data of experts are made to converge using statistical analysis. The Fuzzy Delphi Method(F.D.M.), anew application of the Delphi method using Triangular Fuzzy Numbers(T.F.N.), can help to predict the uncertainty, synthesize the opinion and calculation of those assumed dissemblance index and fuzzy distance. Furthermore, the programming of the F.D.M. process to feed paper and data back to experts can make them more accurately predict the various information.

Prioritization in the Policy of Integrated Medicine that Uses the Delphi Method and Analytic Hierarchy Process (델파이 기법과 AHP기법을 사용한 통합의료정책 우선순위 수립 연구)

  • The purpose of the study is to establish priorities in integrated medicine policy. Delphi method was used in conducting a survey on integrated medicine specialists regarding the policies of integrated medicine and actions. For specialists in integrated medicine, total 17 persons selected included scholars who performed minimum one study on integrated medicine, medical staff who performing integrated medical service at institutions that implemented integrated medical care or those who were involved in creating or implementing policies on integrated medicine. The first Delphi-method survey conducted from Apr. 14 through 18, while the second survey was carried out from Apr. 21 through 25. To prioritize the policies based on the results of the mini Delphi-method survey, Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) was performed for 15 persons answered to mini Delphi-method from May 2 through 16, 2014. From the Delphi-method survey, four policies and 16 actions were obtained. AHP showed the first priority placed on 'Building the Infrastructure of Industrialization in the Integrative medicine' of the 4 policies and 'Developing new diagnostic and treatment instruments' was given the highest priority of the 16 actions. For implementation of integrated medicine policy, the 4 policies and the 16 actions found in this research require government support and should be urgently implemented according to its priority.

  • AHP is widely used in various fields owing to its simplicity and clarity. However, it has the problems of reliability of panel's judgement and the assumption that each panelist's ability is equal. In this paper, we propose a reliable AHP method using Delphi technique, which aims to incorporate the relative expertise of panel and to increase their consensus. The method is called the Modified Delphi-AHP. We apply the method to analyzing the demand for lectures of Management of Technology.

Development of Standardized Pattern Identification for Dizziness by Delphi Method (현훈(어지럼증) 한의표준변증안 개발을 위한 전문가 델파이 조사)

  • Objectives : The goal of this study is developing standardized pattern identification of dizziness using delphi method. Methods : The pattern identification of dizziness which derived through literature review is studied by delphi method. A group of 9 experts of korean medicine participated in Delphi examination. Experts carried out evaluating and correcting the pattern identification and symptoms by e-mail. Results : Through 3 delphi examinations, final standardized pattern identification of dizziness was suggested. It consisted of 2 items of excess syndrome, 2 items of excess-deficiency combination syndrome, and 3 items of deficiency syndrome. Conclusions : By the delphi examinations among experts, a standardized pattern identification of dizziness was suggested. These pattern identification will contribute to research and treatment of korean medicine. Further study is necessary for modification of pattern identification by practical clinical use.

  • We provide a fudamental set of information on technologies in the area of mechanical engineering to draw action plans for intermationalization of the National R&D activites. First, we design and use a modified Delphi method to evaluate levels of our technological capabilities and developed countries' as well. We investigate technology acquistion methodolgies, technology characteristcs and various aspects of international cooperation in terms of technology. Secondly, we analyze final responses of participants (i.e,. the third round results of Delphi method) tosee the correlation between various factors in developing mechanical engineering technologies through international cooperation. The technology classification used in this research is developed by STEPI (Science and Technology Policy Institute).

  • The main purpose of this paper is to develop a Delphi Decision Support System based on the web, which can improve the conventional Delphi method. Among major drawbacks of the conventional Delphi methods are cost and efforts to distribute and collect the questionnaire by the regular mail and the tardiness in collecting, categorizing, analyzing, and reporting the result of the questionnaire. With the proposed Delphi Decision Support System, the moderator sends the e-mail to invite the member of panels so that they may visit the homepage of the Delphi Decision Support System. When the panelists input their opinions about the issues, the Delphi Decision Support System analyzes the inputs and reports the result without delay. To implement the Delphi Decision Support System, we integrated Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, jdbcKona/MS SQLServer 4 JDBC driver, and Java Development Kit 1.2

Root Cause Analysis of the Information Industry Ecosystem Problems (정보산업 생태계 문제의 근본원인 분석)

  • Finding a root cause is an essential step to solving a complex problem. Some previous studies have used the Delphi method for gathering opinions about root causes from geographically dispersed experts. However, we assert that complicated problems such as an industry ecosystem would make a general type of the Delphi method less practical because of too much psychological burden on study participants. In this study we present a preliminary list-based Delphi study method for identifying a root cause. This method was used to identify a root cause and draw a causal map for the information industry ecosystem problems.

Developing a pediatric nursing simulation scenario template in South Korea: applying real-time Delphi methods

  • Purpose: This study aimed to describe the process of developing a validated pediatric nursing simulation scenario template using the real-time Delphi method. Methods: A panel of 13 pediatric nursing experts participated in a real-time Delphi survey conducted over two rounds. Initially, 83 items were included in the questionnaire focusing on the structure and content of the simulation scenario template. Data analysis involved calculating the content validity ratio (CVR) and the coefficient of variation to assess item validity and stability. Results: Through iterative rounds of the Delphi survey, a consensus was reached among the experts, resulting in the development of a pediatric nursing simulation scenario template comprising 41 items across nine parts. The CVR values ranged from 0.85 to 1.0, indicating a high consensus among experts regarding the inclusion of all items in the template. Conclusion: This study presents a novel approach for developing a pediatric nursing simulation scenario template using real-time Delphi methods. The real-time Delphi method facilitated the development of a comprehensive and scientifically grounded pediatric nursing simulation scenario template. Our template aligns with the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning standards, and provides valuable guidance for educators in designing effective simulation scenarios, contributing to enhanced learning outcomes and better preparation for pediatric clinical practice. However, consideration of cultural and contextual adaptations is necessary, and further research should explore alternative consensus criteria.

  • In this paper, we evaluated the technological forecasting based on questionnaires of experts working in internet-banking industry. We prepared questionnaires on the 13 items. We examined specialties of respondents, relative importance of research contents, expected time of realization, likelihood of conviction on the expected time of realization, and their opinions on the levels of domestic's research and development comparing with advanced standards on each item. And we made various analysis based on data collected from Delphi method.
